On the subject of the strength and importance of central banks, I'm pretty pessimistic for our near future, when I see CBDCs coming, I fear they'll get even stronger. Fortunately, however, we have access to solutions to protect us from this as much as possible.
Cbdc's would be a bigger problem for privacy than fiat. The government will issue both cbdc and paper money, but whenever someone spends cbdc, the government is going to know, they would be able to track it and its users, unlike with cash. If anyone cares about their privacy, they would not use cbdc's, but BTC + privacy solutions.
It is just crystal clear that the government does not want our privacy to get out of there hands that is why we keep seeing different ways to ensure that we are still in their circuit without an option to jump out. The Bitcoin solution has been very helpful for most of us even when the government tries to use the AML agenda to track us on every transaction that is been initiated.

I believe the emergence of artificial intelligence in Blockchain technology and crypto mixing could make things quite easier for us to slightly escape from the borders of the government's ability to track all our transactions without rigorous processes being initiated.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: [Speculation] Will Bitcoin breach $100k this month?
« Last post by dwyane36 on Today at 10:20:09 AM »
Bitcoin did not reached that level and even this april it seems like there is no chance of breaking 6 digits , we are 10 days to go before the month ends so how much increase are we expecting towards bitcoin after halving day?
If you look the current price of Bitcoin, it even dropped quite a lot now. Yesterday, it was around $67k but today it is only $63k - $64k. If this continues to drop more, I think it can be $60k again. Honestly, this is unsatisfying, we don't see a significant change in Bitcoin growth. Instead of seeing the price to skyrocket easily, the price of Bitcoin tends to drop gradually. With this condition, it is difficult to expect much on the Bitcoin price at the end of this month. I even no hope to see it above $70k anymore.

In fact, BTC has been correcting for over a month now, since mid-March, to be exact. Now, let's pay attention to the resistance around $67k because if this resistance is broken, BTC will probably start moving to new heights after that. Otherwise, we can consider a deeper correction, and the target of such correction may probably be in the range of $50-52k.

Inter Milan finally locked up the scudetto by beating city rivals AC Milan in a prestigious derby, this was a special way.
But this doesn't surprise us, almost all of us here already predicted it.
Currently, I am only interested in seeing the fate of AS Roma at the end of the season.
Hopefully, they will enter the top four and qualify for the Champions League next season.
Now it's time to party for the team and the fans of Inter Milan.
Next season? Don't worry, there will be a time when we will talk about it :)

some of my friends who are huge AC Milan fans didn't take it well
in fact they even decided not to go to see the match even though they had already paid for the tickets, so much disappointment
unfortunately you can't do much about it if your team wins, you can simply not get angry it's a game and it's meant to have fun not to feel bad

Forum related / Re: No option to self moderate threads here?
« Last post by babo on Today at 10:16:54 AM »
And another headache for moderators: to monitor the sections many pages in depth. If to look at what's happening on BTT, there is a number of trolls who move topics from one section to another and forward. And you can eventually find some topic without a content with multiple answers in some random language somewhere in Hebrew section, because there's no own moderator in there on BTT and the trash topic can stay there for long. Seems terrible! :o
As if you guys have so much work here  ;)
I never noticed any real big problems in bitcointalk forum connected with moving of topics, except few members who were persistent in moving some topics in wrong boards.
It would be nice to show me some stats of members and moderators activity.

A little expensive, yeah? haha, $10 is enough to make you have at least 2-3 meals. (Not sure in your country)
So what you are saing is that 2-3 meals are expensive?  :o

honestly, as a moderator, self-moderated topics don't bother me, on the contrary
they are particular threads and in the hands of competent and recognized fast and reliable people they are threads worth seeing

Furthermore, moderators do not have to see all threads

just look at the queue of reports, the moderator's job is to remedy but the users' job is to report

No wonder this association decide to sue SEC, such definition would affect many individual who invest on cryptocurrency. And it's not that surprising either considering SEC have gone too far on some occasion.
Lately, the SEC has been behaving as if they are the owners of the Bitcoin network and only they should make the rules.
Rhetorical question, who exactly authorized them to be moderators of something as decentralized as Bitcoin?

I'd say they behave as if they own all cryptocurrency/blockchain network. It's clear that they drunk on power and someone need to make them "sober".

Interesting theory, although I find it hard to believe that the spot ETFs had nothing to do with the rise in the price of BTC considering that they bought over 500 000 BTC in the last three months. It's true that more than half of those BTC just flowed from Grayscale mainly to BlackRock, but it still doesn't seem logical to me that Chinese investors get all the credit.

Yes, maybe the point of the article was not "BTC ETFs have no bearing" but rather "Capital outflows from China have a bearing too"

Something I don't understand.
What is the cause of those outflows?
The article identify 2:
a) devaluation of the Yuan (= Yuan losing power vs other currencies, so people try to save into those currencies)
b) capital controls by the authorities

Ok, but the two don't necessarily go hand in hand. There can be the one without the other.
So which one is the main cause for those capital outflows?

Forum related / Re: You have received -1 Negative Karma
« Last post by babo on Today at 10:13:43 AM »
you're breaking your head too much, unfortunately as you well said
no one can say anything if you decide to give negative karma
but this also happens elsewhere with the same methods, accounts burned due to arguments
the only thing to do is to stay calm, write, always speak with respect and politeness and it will never happen that you will have a strong disagreement with someone

this is my advice

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: STAY AWAY FROM 1XBIT
« Last post by PX-Z on Today at 10:10:48 AM »
At first I thought this is a legitimate casino. I can see a lot of promotions being done in social media with different influencers, some are making a video clip while some are playing it during live.
You can see them in p*rnhub being promoted as well lol.

It's obvious that they have large sum of money for marketing to get more and more users. Regardless of the warning against them there are still people who will use them since later you will see another new complains.

Ethereum Forum / Re: ETH is the king of crypto!
« Last post by bitterguy28 on Today at 10:10:37 AM »

For a very long time, Ethereum will be in second place, but I’m not sure that it will always be there because all the new projects now are not interested in some complex blockchain that Ethereum has and some very popular project like Solana may well overtake it in future and leave it far behind.
Anything can happen in the future, but for the next few years I think ethereum's position will remain strong at rank 2. Maybe after new coins that function as networks start to become popular and are widely used by crypto projects, we will see ethereum being replaced by The new one has more benefits such as lower gas fees and faster transactions.

It’s very difficult to get everyone to switch to some other wallet, people on their own are very lazy and don’t want to switch to something new, so I don’t think it’s so easy to convince everyone to switch to another wallet simply because there will be very cheap ones transactions.
Not just lazy mate but more on trustworthiness, our wallets that wr are using for sometime now had been serving us since those years without issues so why need to use another on ,not unless there is a valid  issue that needs to change then we will not find another one as this is my own experience.
