Hedge funds, are getting rich on ICOs. They buy tokens at a discount and resell them for big profits almost immediately. Their actions, some say, just give the unsophisiticated retail investor false confidence.

That works as long as there is an after market of people willing to buy. You could prevent it by putting a hold period in place on Tokens purchased in the Pre ICO.

I have participated in thier airdrop/bounty. till today I did not receive any tokens.. I am not sure whether this is good for investment

Not all ICOs go upwards in price though... Investors though do have the option to sell their tokens if they want.
