I don't download random wallets. I only stick to ERC20 tokens and web wallets.i can't in a bid to get tokens risk my personal data or expose my pc to inadvertent mining for someone else.

Same here. I am very much afraid of downloading wallets.
Who knows what it's intentions are.
Maybe if I have a dedictated pc for it. I will

But for now not tryin that

I downloaded one wallet to my laptop and it did receive tokens
I don't like to join airdrop that I have to send either
there are so many airdrops everyday, who knows if it is good or bad

I downloaded a wallet to receive airdrops and fortunately, the coin proved to be profitable. I don't plan on participating on airdrops that require me to send eth, that's too risky already.

I do not download wallets which are new and have no authority before and also skip those airdrops which ask for download a wallet.

I have my judgement for airdrop, first take a look how many airdrop (if too low I better skip it) and if you need to install a wallet, you can virus scan it first on web and this the important thing Install it on your virtual machine, you can backup it later after ICO and development ongoing as seen on roadmap since most of them just abandon project after ICO. About sending ETH to contract address it's normal since ERC20 token need gas (if you ethereum user you know what is gas for) and It can so costly if you have to sent bulk token for many address that's why they need small fee ETH to cover it.
