I've been wondering why the price of Litecoin has been soaring recently. Now I'm beginning to see the reason

I see it got a bit pumped, but not even to a worthwhile value, like 5% or LTC if I'm not mistaken?
Now it's worth $7 / 0.03 LTC (only 3%)... sounds worthless.

Litecoin spiked as much as 10 percent on Tuesday after a so-called "hard fork" resulted in the creation of a new cryptocurrency.

Personally I'm not convinced the 10% jump was due to this worthless hard fork, there's even Litecoin Gold happening now but LTC is currently correcting.
I think it's more to do with LitePay, as well as the long-term prospect of a cheap and fast payment system, which is what Litecoin offers.
That and the Lightning Network. Once this is rolled out and has the Litecoin stamp of approval it'll go to the moon.
