Title: Bridge for TRON
Post by: rdluffy on January 14, 2024, 07:57:52 PM
I'm looking for a bridge from TRON to BSC

I found this service (Bittorrent) https://app.bt.io/bridge, but I have never used it and I would like to know if anyone knows it and if it is safe to use?
If not, is there any other bridge to use?

The only requirement is that I don't want it to be through a CEX, only a DEX

Thanks

Hmmmmm , only 4 chain available on this webiste BitTorrent Bridge??
I have checked it and I found few features provided by BitTorrent Bridge, there are only 4 networks available, namely BTTC, TRON, Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum.
Very few and not very attractive in terms of appearance and it's just strange for me to see it, even though this TRON coin has so many assets to continue adding various blockchains for Bridge.
I have never tried it and this is the first time I have seen and checked the BitTorrent Bridge website, maybe other members can provide information about the best bridge for Blockchain from TRON to Binance Smart Chain.

Yes, there are only 4 chains in this bridge, but that's not the biggest problem, since TRON > BSC would be fine.
Then I can easily transfer from BSC to any other network with other bridges like Wormhole or Squid (both I know and already used), but the problem is making the TRON bridge itself  :P

I think it is scam bittorrent bridge link is  https://bttc.bittorrent.com/bridge/ not https://app.bt.io/bridge Continue reading the update below.

They have the same design and everything is the same. If it was an honest service, it would have redirected to https://bttc.bittorrent.com/bridge/, so I think it is a phishing link.

BitTorrent is a reliable service and the owner is justin-sun, the same famous and prominent person in TRON.

When Chinese millionaire Justin Sun acquired BitTorrent, was he trying to skirt the trade war?  (https://www.theverge.com/21459906/bittorrent-tron-acquisition-justin-sun-us-china)

It's strange, because I even went to Tron's own website and it directed me to https://bt.io/

I'm very confused to tell you the truth and I even asked on another forum and no one made this bridge or know this website

I don't think it's worth the risk, the only solution will be to go through a CEX

A Google search directs me to the link

While on Twitter, this link appears, and perhaps they have more than one link but i don't know why they not redirecting to that link.

It looks like it's not a scam.
You can try them with a small amount. You need to create a new wallet with a small amount in it, but I do not think it is a scam as the site has been working since 2019.

This discussion is very useful, I have read it several times and my conclusion is better away from this platform for the bridge coin tron.
- Evidence from @rdluffy is very reasonable, Tron.Network on the button and gives a link to https://bt.io/ .
- But evidence from @husires also provides concrete data as well as providing information about the Twitter Bittorrent account that has been established since 2009.
- (Looks like @husires typo wrote, that Bittorrent was founded in 2019) XIXIXIXI

Still my choice is not wanting to try this platform because I just want to stay away from the scammers, even though I try it with 50 USD, it's better I use CEX as said by @rdluffy  ;D

Bittorrent as a very old service, perhaps before or with the beginning of the emergence of cryptocurrencies, and then the project was acquired by Justin Sun, so they may have wanted to keep the old Twitter address. The fact that the link is mentioned by Tron sites may give it credibility, but if you are careful, it is better to ignore both links.

So the link from @Husires is the same mirror?
A little confused which one is more correct, of course this will help many people if it enlightens on the official link because I have never bridged from the tron network to another so this is the first time hearing dex from the tron network.

What??
Is it true that the old Bittorrent project in this world?
I know you are an experienced member in Bitcointalk, can you explain a little about information from Bittorrent and its creation?
And do you have related information about the acquisition of Bittorrent by Justin Sun?
Or have you made a topic about Bittorrent that Justin Sun is recognized ?
Because I am very interested in seeing your explanation of Bittorrent?

It's important to exercise caution and verify information, especially in the cryptocurrency space where phishing scams and fraudulent activities can occur. While it's true that projects may retain certain aspects of their original identity even after acquisition or changes in ownership, users should always rely on official communication channels for accurate and up-to-date information.

If you have doubts or concerns about the legitimacy of a link or address, it's advisable to verify with the official website or official social media channels of the project. Additionally, being cautious about clicking on links, especially those received from unknown or unverified sources, is a good practice to enhance security. Trustworthy projects will typically provide clear and official communication channels for their users.

Thanks to everyone for your help, as we couldn't reach a consensus I thought it would be better to use a traditional exchange (CEX)

Although I think the service is real and safe, I didn't want to risk it because I haven't know anyone who has done this bridge
I'm going to leave the thread open because someone who has used the service may come along and review it or tell us how it went
