В РФ молодые люди, которые не могут себе позволить ипотеку живут с родителями. Кстати, читал, что и в США сейчас идёт небывалый рост тех, кто будучи уже в недетском возрасте, живёт с родителями. И как бэ это противоречит традиционному американскому менталитету: "исполнилось 18 (или сколько там у них для совершеннолетия) - выбывай из родительского гнезда и сам зарабатывай себе на жизнь".

Стоит учитывать тот факт, что в Украине тоже ситуации разные. Я живу в Киеве, поэтому мои суждения основаны на местных реалиях, которые, понятное дело, в разы лучше, чем в любом другом городе, не говоря уже о поселках и селах. Так что рассказывать буду о возможностях в больших городах.

Расчитывать на себя - это реально на себя и возможно ближайшую семью, готовую помочь с накоплением. Большинство людей просто работает нон-стоп, откладывая большую часть зарплаты. Через какое-то время они могут накопить необходимую сумму (обычно с помощью родителей или супруга), но это, в основном, касается недвижимости на вторичном рынке, где цены ниже, плюс есть возможность взять квартиру уже с каким-то ремонтом, ведь в ней до этого кто-то жил.

Если хотят в новостройке, то копят на первый платеж (30%), а дальше берут рассрочку у застройщика на 3-7 лет. Этот вариант опасен тем, что дом может быть не достроен или не введен в эксплуатацию в срок. Пока ждут. живут с родителями или снимают что-то дешевое. Но это я описываю ситуации тех, кто вообще работает над тем, чтобы свое жилье иметь. А очень многие просто живут, где и жили, или думают, что родители должны им что-то купить.
