How to add emojis to my message on this forum?

When you write a message, you should see some basic emojis above the message space - and if you use Windows OS, you can press the Windows logo key with a period (.) and you will get an additional set of emojis that you can use on the forum.

I'm not sure if beginners have any restrictions in this regard, but if you can't see the emoji, then that's the problem or something is blocking them in your browser.

There are 16  emojis here, when you want to post something, 1 line above the city editor will display some cute emojis.
Just click and it will automatically be inserted into your post

Here we do not support copy paste emoji from the website https://emojidb.org/bbcode-emojis , adjust your needs to these limitations.

OMG, I did not know this shortcut key before thank dear, and thanks OP for asking this question as I already knew how to add emojis and also know if I don't find any good on the forum then I can search on Google and can copy past it from there. But this shortcut key was totally new to me. It will be of great help in the future.

Well, I guess OP has known more than enough with these fewer replies. 👽

I think this emoji is enough to describe the emotions that are being experienced, without having to use too many emojis. At least this forum becomes more colorful when using emoji.

I learned about it from a member of the BTT forum some time ago, and it just proves that every day we can learn something new using the forum. I've had a favorite when it comes to emojis for a long time, and it's not bad to save it in favorites ;)

You are right, there are many things that I came to know some time ago while I was on BTT for a long time. For example, after making the post, I never thought what the bottom button (modify button) would do, and in 2023 I guess I saw on someone's post, the purpose of that button. I was shocked to see that. There are many other things that I did not know but with time came to know about them. For example here on this forum, I use the mouse to open a new tab, and I use ctrl+Left click to open a new tab, but this key doesn't work when we are opening a quote tab. What we have to do is ctrl+scroll key on the mouse.

And now this emoji thing. I guess there are many other things are on the roadmap which came to our eyes when the time was right hehe.
I've had a favorite when it comes to emojis for a long time, and it's not bad to save it in favorites ;)

Favoutrite what? emoji or website to copy emoji. I asked because you mentioned the link, not the emoji. I hope I have not asked a dumb question 😅

The shortcut is a big help, this is the first time I know this. However, can you confirm if most of the emojis can't be used, if ever you add it to your text here do you also receive an error of "The message body was left empty". I don't know if this is only in my view but there seems something wrong.

Yes, this warning appears when using an external emoji, but usually you can post your message anyway. I think that forum script is not familiar with these symbols and that's why shows the error message. Well, as far as it still works... I don't think it is a big issue. ???

If you mean FB as a social network, then I'll say that I didn't mean it because I don't actually use social networks - I meant a website that has a very large selection of emojis and which I've been using for a very long time if I need a special one.

I think it's an error that has nothing to do with emojis, because as far as I remember, I see it every time I reply to a post (without using external emojis) - and it's possible that it's something in the forum configuration settings. Such an "error" does not exist on BTT, but it is also possible to edit the title above the post.

I see, I thought there would be an issue, or if ever that I try using the emojis in the shortcut it will never work as there's an error message that has been prompted. I also read the same message earlier in the live chat, now I understand that this might also be the error prompt he reported to the admin. If there will be no issue, then it's good to go. 🐱‍🏍🐱‍🏍

EDIT: now I see that it is really working! thanks, positive karma to the both of you.

How to add emojis to my message on this forum?

I guess you already had enough suggestions on how to add emojis to your message. If you have not been able to fix them yet, I guess the problem is on your end. The forum has a feature to disable emojis, and I guess you have done that, which is why you don't see emojis. When you write the posts, click on Attachments and other options and uncheck from Don't use smileys.

Here is how it looks;

At the time of posting, the first interface you will get, there are 16 emojis added, you just have to click on them to add to your forum messages. Also, if you want some more hidden emojis for forums, here are five more emojis for you.
>:D
O0
C:-)
^-^
0:)
I will soon be creating an extension to add these five emojis directly to the forum.
Code: [Select]
>:D O0 C:-) ^-^ 0:)Moreover, if you want, you can use many emojis by pressing Windows key and dot key in Windows Ten version. Shown below with image-

Each feature is given above the empty box that is left at the time of posting. You just need to be sure which of these features you want to post using. If you want to use emojis in your post to show the correct reaction of your post, there are some emojis at the top of the box that you need to put the cursor in the right place and click on that emoji only. If you place the cursor where you want to use it and click on the correct emoji to post, you will see that emoji appear in your post.

How to add emojis to my message on this forum?

To make it simple, some are available already for you to just pick from the comments section right above the typing space, if you're not satisfied with them, you should also be able to get some as well from your keyboard as you're typing, I don't think it's something that difficult to have especially when you're not only going to make use of them only on a post, many don't often uses them base on my understanding.

That emoji shortcut button is only available or can be used if you are using a mobile device. It is indeed easy as there's already a button where you can select multiple types of emoji. However, if you are using a PC, there's a different emoji shortcut that you can click to choose an emoji, which is the window + dot (.) key.

Since there are easy ways to add images to forums why take the hard way instead of the easy way to add images to forums.  If you enter the photo uploader or Imgur and extract the link of the specific photo, go to the specific option of the forum and paste it, but the photo will be visible in the forum. I think this is a very easy way to make images visible in forums and everyone should be advised to add images to forums in this easy way.

Is there anyone who can copy paste emojis like on the btt forum??

In forums I rarely use emojis, but if I really want to use emojis, I am always dissatisfied with the standard emojis available in the empty box (text editor box)... that's why I took the initiative to get a cute alternative emoji like the one in https://getemoji.com/ ... when I copy and paste, it turns out it doesn't work and this forum engine detects that the message body that I clicked on 'Preview' was detected as an empty message.

If anyone can provide a trick for inserting cute and beautiful emojis other than the standard emojis that I often see, please share them here.

Here's one trick you can use

I have tried the other emoji's in the past using this trick, not really sure for the other emoji if there will be no error if you use it. But the most common that is not on the list of standard emoji's can be used.  (◠‿・)—☆

BTW.. this is pretty good information, thanks for sharing it...

I tried it a few minutes ago with my PC installed with Windows 11 OS and it did display additional emojis for Windows users... but unfortunately these Ascii Emojis are not brightly colored, so they may not be as attractive as emojis in general.

Quite amazed, because there is an explanation at the top of each group of emoji, such as Happy, Cute, Angry, Sad and so on.... and here are some examples of Ascii emoji that I like

(*^_^*) (●ˇ∀ˇ●)

At least this is the best after I chose several of them in the Emoji group.

How to add emojis to my message on this forum?

I'm not opposed to you asking this question because I know many others have profited from it. I looked into your profile and discovered that this is only one post you have made. The reality is you have a long way to go because I don't know how emojis are crucial to your learning now, but I will encourage you to focus on learning and don't draw attention to yourself by making topics. Learn from others' posts and specialize in two or more areas.

Even without you using the forum Emojis there is always an emojis option on your phone keys at left hand side before the space bar depending on the key you are using, when you click there are lots of emojis to display which you can pick and it would automatically work with the forum configuration. Except something like inserting pictures on the forum then you need to upload the image on a site before you would copy link to post here.
