Please what is karma and feedback

Hi I'm a newbie I've been trying my best to understand the rules and regulations but I don get the concept behind karma and feedback can someone please elaborate

First, we get two types of karma, Positive and negative karma.

Positive karma you get it when you post a quality posts and if person like am e can feel to give you the positive karma, is just be like a reward and also it means sey you dey follow the forum rules.

Negative karma this one is just the opposite of positive karma, if you dey misbehave anyhow, posting rubbish, plagiarism or spamming dey go give you negative karma and it's a bad reputation because no one go trust you again and you no go fit apply for any campaign.

Thanks cantsay for the clarification I have also learnt a lot like I never actually knew that negative karma can be appealed or a payment of fine can get you rectified when given a negative feedback. This forum is indeed users friendly but I feel a lot will change due to how active the forum is coming to be and alot of shit poster and spammers are everywhere and unlike Bitcointalk where you can get tagged for such and no way to resolve it especially when the person is claiming innocent but yet is guilty.

This is a great system employed here and I must say that it is a friendly place to be and I hope the users here especially those that spam not to use this as an advantage to always appeal after being caught in engaging in such acts and given negative feedback.

One good thing about the karma system is that you can give to anyone irrespective of you having or not. The seclusion to just senior member and above shows how important it is to give karma out to only quality posts in which those members must have learned about what is quality and non quality post. It is a great system and I’m also looking forward to see it become more transparent than it is now.

I've been wanting to ask this question about the negative karma, so I think this is the best opportunity to present it. I understand that whenever you send a positive karma, the recipient receives it instantly. However, in the case of the negative karma, is there a system to checkmate if truly a post is worthy of receiving a negative karma?

I ask this question because a user could be "beefing" another user who actually made a good post, instead of giving him a +ve karma, he decides to issue a -ve karma. Is there a system in place to make sure this doesn't happen?

From what I’ve seen so far – if you come across a post and after reading it you discover that nothing meaningful was said and that the user just made the post to fill up his post quota [or to gain activity quickly] then such a post can be awarded with negative karma.

Personally, I have abstained from giving someone a negative karma – if I come across your post despite being a shit post I’ll just ignore the person and or if it’s an extreme case I’ll bring the user to the notice of a moderator.

If you noticed that you’re being given negative karma and you’re sure you did not make a post that could have resulted in such an action – you can simply just take your account to the forum court and request that the admin review your karma history to see if someone is actually abusing it by constantly giving you negative karma and if they should find one abusing it then the account will be punished and your karma will be returned back to normal…

Exactly! Thanks for this the karma system is still yet Yo be perfected but I'm thinking this karma might be is merit like system in the future. However, it will be absurd to have  a negative karma along with it unless it's  being taken as positive and negative  feedback  just like that of BCT .

Later I got it all wrong, and I thought that karma is like the trust system in btt. Which we have negative trust and positive trust. How will you know the forum user that gave you one positive karma, is it possible for you to see the person, just like in btt, you can easily check your merit record to see who merited you.

Op men don give you di orientation so if I tell you now e come be like shey na repetition of what other have said so ll what I will say here now I'd foe you to follow up what they have told you and make good post to get +karma. Everything you see here is like bitcointalk. If I see your post good, then I go give you +karma and if I see your post nonsense I go give -Karma. So do well to receive more +karma because it is the of the major to acquire in the forum. Time is coming +karma will be very much important like merit.

The belief system in BTT and this forum seems very different, Karma will probably be more like merit, unfortunately as you said, the karma system here is not yet available to see the traces of karma sent and received.

This shows you don't read because if you do, you could have gotten it since because I believe you have spent about 3 months here If am not mistakenly. You should have come across post that talks about karma and whatever thing you needed over here. There is pin messages over this board were you can easily pick the meaning of karma and whatever rules you needed to know.
