I can't agree more with you, I just had a discussion on a topic where the member talked about how important technical indicators are and how that member is using them, to make a profit, and now this post came into my sight. This explains it all that depending only on TA would be a mistake because IMO if we are talking about BTC, then the overall price fluctuations are mainly due to the demand and supply, and it's measured by the news, media outlets, and fuds, etc.

I know these factors can cause a huge pump and dump, but our aim should be to take advantage of this situation. There comes a time, when a person finds the news early but doesn't react, and changes the strategy, in this he makes losses. The reason for no reacting is, that they thought its already so late (that they heard the news late) as they didn't know whether it was late or not, so by considering its late they don't react while the situation is no so many people have heard about that news yet.

When we get news about the acceptance of bitcoin or cryptocurrency which is in the top position, there is an opportunity for us to try to make a profit by entering first, because as you said the price will definitely rise next. Thanks for shed more light on my point but I was talking about the second thing, like the BTC ETF news, which caused a surge in the price of BTC. And on the other hand, there is some uncertain news, for example, the news of china banning crypto, they banned it 4 to 5 times If I am not wrong. All of that time market lost value. Overall, when the MT GOX and Silk Road funds are sold, the news will burst out, and the market will lose value again. No doubt there are good news and bad news.

And there are times when news is created due to the sudden increment/decrement in the price of BTC. One should know the difference. My main focus was to say Demand and supply are the biggest factors that drive BTC price CMIIW. ANd just to remain safe, I mentioned other factors as well. And trying to say TA is less useful than fundamental analysis. we cannot depend on technical analysis because, while we are doing it, we can still perform fundamental analysis.

Yes, I do agree both are equally important. fundamentals is more on the intrinsic value and so it will remain constant. While technical knowledge encompasses daily to even long term perspective. That why we have day or intra day traders which is very difficult in my opinion but with the aid of technical analysis, they can identify the trend, thus making sound judgement to make money.

So if I will be trader, which I do before, I will take this two in consideration, and as far as my experience goes, if they are in opposite direction, I will just observed the movement first before making my moved.

It depends on the trader that you are. If you do not just trade often but wait until you heard or read some news which can give you where the market is going, then enter position, such traders may not really know much about technical analysis. But if you are a scalper, you may not just prefer fundamental analysis but prefer technical analysis. But the best is to go for both and be an expert in both.
