Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum Name Service (ENS)
« on: May 26, 2024, 04:34:44 PM »

I do not think that using the term decentralized domain name system is accurate, as the interaction with the smart contract is centralized, so we can say that it is distributed.
In general, if you are a fan of collecting domains, getting .eth sounds great.

Can you mention the name of the token? In most cases, the chance of achieving a good profit is small, but if the developing team is good, liquidity is limited, and the selling price is close to the listing price, then some profits may be achieved.

I wonder how the seller got a hold of the token. Was it sold to them through ICOs or other type of private sales? Usually, tokens sold through that method are still locked (non transferrable) until it's officially listed on an exchange (open market).
In a private or initial sale, an initial price is set for the token, and after listing, if the token reaches higher than this price, profits will be achieved. In most cases, the price is very low to finance the project expenses and listing costs, but in most cases the currency fails to reach the target price.

Economists' criticism of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on the part of the government and the carbon emissions market is them way of making something they don't support bad, but in the end what drives BlackRock is profit, and as long as this profit is achieved, you will see less of this news and it may be used in the future to manipulate prices.

In the short term, it can boost BTC price growth, but in the long run, it can negatively impact Bitcoin's decentralization and self-custody.
I can understand the impact of these mutual funds on the price but how will they affect the decentralization and self-custody of Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a POW coin and therefore they need to mine Bitcoin and manage mining pools to have an impact on decentralization.

Decentralized Team / Re: Report Spammers

It is very easy to recognize this kind of behaviour.
What do these three users have in common? Burstposting, participants (of the same) campaign, zoom 1 membership, non-teleported.
+1 , Since this falls under "this user contributes mostly to none crypto topics or very superficial contribution." It is within quality3[1]

But even Zoom 1 membership is no longer a meaningful classification because no penalties have been taken.

@Freemind I hope to send a message to all Zoom 1 members { if they do not change their posting style within 10 days, their signatures will be deleted (they can wear signatures after 3 months if their posting style changes), thus we have guaranteed healthy discussions.}

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Trump Supporting Bitcoin, Crypto
« on: May 26, 2024, 10:32:26 AM »
Do not trust electoral promises, but it seems that there is a hidden war on privacy, and I do not think that Trump will value privacy. Rather, he will try to know and track all transactions while imposing reasonable taxes. Therefore, it may be a good option for platforms and for those who have businesses, but Trump still a bad option for those looking for privacy.

Your country is de-dollarizing
Of course they are the first steps, but it's clear what's happening

Dubai is a major gold trade hub.
Abu Dhabi too?

+1 for coming from the UAE!

This happened for political reasons, especially the Arab countries’ fear that the United States would not activate the defense agreements if these countries were attacked. Also, what happened with Russia and the freezing of assets made some Arab countries diversify their investments with China and India and even join BRICS+, but I do not think that the government will go far at it.
The real change will be when the economic outlook changes, as the political reasons can change.

Why did the article not take into account the recent approval of the Ethereum ETF, which has led to an increase in more liquidity on Ethereum, as cash flows are not limited to Bitcoin and Solana, Ethereum, and it is true that Solana took a percentage of the market, but will it continue to get a good percentage or will the price collapse as A year ago, no one wanted to invest in this currency.

8
Ethereum has already risen, as the weekly rate of change is 20.31%, while the rate for Bitcoin is 2.88%. Therefore, whoever invested due to ETF funds has achieved profits. Unless you intend to invest after the news begins to spread here, the rise wave will have already occurred and you are catching a speeding train.

I think you can find full list here ----> https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=rating
From that list you will find Average rating and total votes. Therefore, I do not think that admin or the president are the only ones who vote, it could be DT members or mods.

Well actually I just remember this event right upon reading threads on forums  because I already forget the Bitcoin pizza day for a couple of years now since I jump into crypto forums in 2016. Very memorable day to be honest as it marks Bitcoin as being used in purchasing something earlier in the history.
10k Bitcoins were not of great value until after what happened in 2013. I am surprised when was the first time this event was celebrated.

Interestingly, no one asks what Papa Johns did with all those Bitcoins, did he sold them immediately or hodl and for how long
He did not buy pizza directly from Papa Johns, but rather a friend offered to send him these bitcoins in exchange for buying him pizza. His name was roughly Jeremy “Jercos.”

Taking into account the APY ratio without verifying the future trend of the currency is considered foolish. If you get 30% APY and the price drops by 70%, you are making losses on the USD scale. Therefore, even if the APY is 1% and the general trend of the currency is growth, it is better than 30% and the general trend. loss.

To know the general trend, you must focus on the developing team, the white paper, does the token solve a real problem, the total offered, the roadmap, and is the project being developed or is it a promise of quick profit?

Ethereum Forum / Re: ethereum etf approved just now
« on: May 24, 2024, 07:39:15 AM »
Frankly, I was surprised by this news and I did not expect that the Ethereum ETF would be approved, let alone that it happened so quickly. In general, the news is positive and for POS investors, ETF will give them additional options, but let’s see how it will affect the decentralization of the currency in the long term.

Technical Discussion / Re: Which blockchains are the fastest?
« on: May 23, 2024, 11:56:03 AM »

I think that these networks must be tested before we can say that they are the fastest. If the block size is large and each block is mined after about 3 seconds, the blockchain will be the fastest, but in terms of security, you need more than one confirmation to say that your transaction is safe.
Therefore, the term "fastest" must take into account the block size, network congestion, and the number of confirmations necessary to say that a transaction is secure.

This move must be supported by the whole cryptocurrency community as it seems to me that a big war on non-custodial platforms is being waged by SEC and other regulatory bodies of the government.

I do not know what charges will be brought against the developers of Samourai Wallet, but I would not be surprised if they were acquitted without any judgement.
These are issues in which pressure must be placed on legislators and those who make these policies, and not in the courts, which often will not be able to prove many of the charges against these developers.

Forum related / Re: Campaigns and Forums Traffic
« on: May 23, 2024, 11:24:10 AM »

I remember to see CM paying 0.0375 btc per week, but this was lower than 200 usd for a very long time. But it was always the best paying camping in the forum.

The highest amount I earned from the signature campaigns was 0.15 per month, in 2019 it was about ~$1,600, and I sold it in 2021 at a price of 51k, so it was ~ $7,650 per month.

About two years ago you could get $800 a month and it was about 0.047 Bitcoin. If the price of Bitcoin rose to 160k then it would be $7520.
Currently, if we assume that you can get $680, which is equal to 0.0098 Bitcoin, if the price rises to 160k, it is about $1,568, but you need to wait for about another 5 years to get numbers close to $5,000.
so just hodling  ;D
