A very legit question, Bitcoin was the favorite crypto for the online criminal activities, but with monero more anonymous features, it is becoming the coin of choice for criminals...
And we know criminals have a lot of money to launder etc ...
The question is, would Monero replace bitcoin as the top coin.

In my opinion Monero and bitcoin are not competitor, the advantage of monero is to be more anonymous than bitcoin, but some people dont mind about their transactions to be anonymous or not. So there will always be fan of bitcoin and fan of monero.

i dont think Monero will replace BTC. BTC has grown so much, lots of people recognize btc because people talk about it most of the time. Experts, medias etc. those newbie in crypto wolrd will face difficulty understanding Monero. But i believe Monero is still undervalued so grab some. Monero has a good concept but will replace it BTC? i dont think so.

I am a big fan of privacy coins and I think they will soon take over the majority of market.
There are currently quite a few of privacy coins out, and we need to wait and see which one will win the battle.

Monero transactional efficiency and privacy will give it a great value push in the long run. In fact, it is not hard to imagine Monero at $1000 as more people get to learn about its technological superiority over Bitcoin! Monero is a good coin with great future. It is doing well currently but to replace Btc, I say no. Btc starated with the greatest revolution and it will be extremely hard for any altcoin to do better than btc

Not yet. Monero has a few cryptocurrencies like ethereum to overtake before thiking about overtaking bitcoin.

I don't think monero can replace btc just because criminals are investing on this coin. Criminals are still few compare to many good people that are making investment in btc and to any other token's or coins. Aside from that btc is really far from monero when we talk about success, so that is why the possibility for monero to overtake btc is low.

There is still a long way to go for monero. If you chect the coinmarketcap, monero is far behind bitcoin. However, monero has to surpass many coins first, then it can compete with bitcoin. I think it will be very difficult for monero to replace bitcoin, rather, i predict dash to come closer in the future.

I dont think monero can replace bitcoin as top coins, bitcoin is more powerful than that because of its numerous supporters , banks and other companies. And besides bitcoin is famous and mostly widely used crypto currency in the world which make as the dominant one among all digital currencies.

This is a situation where nobody can actually predict what will happen on crypto ecosystem. I also think that anything can happen, Monero (XMR) is superior cryptocurrency that spring surprises but it may be difficult for Monero to replace Bitcoin even considering the bitcoin shortcomings. Lets watch how this competition plays out.
