I have never used Hardare Wallet and I also haven't seen the hardware wallet.
But many say and suggest in this forum to use hardware wallet in the form of TREZOR and Nano Ledger.

But I can't recommend it because as far as I know the HardWare wallet is quite expensive.

it's true that hardware wallets are the safest place to store bitcoin, and I really believe that, but I've never used it.

You'll most likely end up with Ledger or Trezor as the choice. Though there are different alternatives such as KeepKey, ColdWallet, and so on. Most of them work under the same principle so finding the "best" one is quite difficult if you don't have other deciding factors such as price, trustability, source code preferences, flexibility and so on.

You can also use your old computer as a hardware wallet, make it an air-gapped device and then use 2-of-3 multi-sig wallet for your hot wallet. Remember, backing up your keys is also as important as choosing the wallet for your needs. There's no use to buy Ledger Nano if you can't back up your seed properly.

I myself also use a hardware wallet to store my assets or altcoins, for me it is also good and safe to use. And I added that the mytewall wallet wallet is also great for storing tokens from prizes

Ledger hardware wallet is the best hardware wallet out there as confirmed by many security experts.
But there was some marketing stunt by Trezor - the 2nd best hardware wallet, claiming to be the best.
But just recently Ledger team helped Trezor in fixing some vulnerability on Trezor wallet.

However, hardware wallets are the only suitable and secure wallets for long-term Bitcoin holdings. But the price depends on the hardware wallet band. But not depending on the use of hardware wallet rather the security of hardware wallet is very important and this security is given the highest priority.
KeepKey, SafePal, Trezor, Ledger nano, etc the best favourite hardware wallet.
Apart from hardware wallets, there are several software wallets that are also very secure. As such Electrum wallet has not experienced any hacking so far.  So it can be used as a mobile device.

You woke up this thread after a long time, if you are already giving advice here, maybe it is better to use current information. For example, the Ledger wallet cannot be recommended as a good solution for choosing a hardware wallet.
Just in the last few months, there have been many flaws with Ledger, including the recent hack, which makes it unreliable and risky.
