Title: One major altcoins drawbacks
Post by: Bobcrypto on June 04, 2019, 04:46:54 PM
I think the most disturbing altcoins drawbacks is its  inability to recover significantly by its percentage propotion to the Bitcoin price since the inception of crypto. For instance, bitcoin price can crash by 14% to 20% and come back immediately to thesame percentage price rise within few hours, unfortunately altcoin get very slow recovery in returning its prices.
This is just what i thought to have been slowing the altcoins growth. I may be wrong but what do make of this situation? Thanks

Altcoins are still at the mercy of Bitcoin. There's no specific pattern since they react differently but they react nonetheless. Sometimes you see them drop with bitcoin, and then recovers at the same rate with bitcoin. Sometimes you see a different reaction, bitcoin recovers while altcoins continue to bleed. It's just one those things.

Bobcrypto, you speak about altcoins as if all of them in whole are one, but that's not it. Every altcoin has it's own situation: some can do the same as Bitcoin, may be not from top-20, but some can. It depends on major traders who decide to earn on high volatility they can make themselves. Bitcoin is more popular and is more interesting for those who have really lots of assets, altcoins are for smaller players, and it is easier to chose one altcoin to play with it's price, not all the altcoins market. :)

Altcoins are made up of different coins, that is, a coin that is not bitcoin. The fluctuation of bitcoin really affect the price of all other altcoins, as a well known and used coin in the crypto system. Its negative move has a great effect, but not completely to all coins. Most altcoins that are highly volatile in nature moves with the slightest positive change in the price of bitcoin.

Altcoins have not yet begun recovering to BTC. I think that now we are waiting for the fall of the BTC and at the same time, the BTC domination will fall to 50% and only after a drop in the bush we will see the growth of altcoins to the BTC. I think big players have already started to withdraw money from the BTC. They will suffice for the summer rest of the money earned on this pump. It is my opinion.

I completely agree with you, almost always when bitcoin grows or falls, then at the same time all altcoins grow or fall, of course there are various other situations, but almost always this is exactly what happens.

I think there is a huge correlation between altcoin prices and bitcoin prices. While bitcoin price is decreasing, free money can go to do altcoins or can be withdrawn from the crypto world(low possibility) but i think different about the recoveries of bitcoin and altcoins prices. Each coin (including bitcoin, excluding shit coins) has its own unique trading patterns, so recovery can happen in overnight imo .

The problem with altcoins is the inability to compete since there are too many alternative coins in the market today and if we compare to bitcoin aside of its popularity as the pioneering one most altcoins has huge supply of coin/token comparing to bitcoin thats why it needs to be address.

I believe that the biggest drawback of altcoins is that you never know if the project will be successful. A large range of systems, the vast majority of which do not receive recognition and dissemination, can lead to unsuccessful investments. In this segment there is a large number of frankly fraudulent projects posing as promising crypto-currencies.

Not like that in my opinion because Altcoins has a price provision in increasing and decreasing the value in the market.
I see that extream price movements on DEX, such as TRON Exchange, Dex Waves, ForkDelta or IDEX are always different in price from Bitcoin, even when Bitcoin is red, but altcoins in the DEX market turn green.

There are many factors to consider why most of the altcoins are not bouncing back. One of the reasons is there are many new projects that came out on the market and their solution to the crypto problem made the old altcoins obsolete in technology however new projects are risky at this time.

altcoin requires better support from the government to be able to use and trade in the volume of products that are owned, bitcoin has support from everyone for investment and altcoin has products but there are still some who use them. that's why altcoin price recovery has slowed down, besides fake projects, smart investors have chosen new altcoin investments and moved some of their funds from old altcoins to new altcoins

yes very true one can't predict the move of Alts when Bitcoin rise, majority of the time Alts drop, but I believe soon both Bitcoin and Alts will rise at the same time.

It is fluctuation probably. We cannot predict exactly what will happen to the price and volume in every hour. The price is so volatile and fluctuating so that makes some people feeel depressed on it. However, actually, we can utilize this character to gain profits from the crypto world so much.

Most disturbing drawback? It's as if it's a very bad thing. Remember that even a slow recovery presents an opportunity, you are given more time to accumulate. Instead of being worried, just take advantage.

Many people are afraid of this situation, because prices are still falling. While many also say this is a great opportunity to collect more assets because of very low prices

The weakness of the altcoin is that it is difficult to know its success and endurance in the long run, and also the popularity far below bitcoin.

BTC popularity is really very high as it's the first crypto coin. But coins like ETH LTC are also very popular as they have long been on the market. They even have some better parameters than BTC, but the BTC's ubiquitous popularity does not give them such growth. In the long run, I I think all the good altcoins will give a very good growth and profit

It's right. As long as Bitcoin will directly dominate the cryptocurrency market, until the Altcoins will behave in the same way. This is due to the high level of Bitcoin capitalization. According to the laws of the market, its level of capitalization will inevitably fall over time, and the level of prices for cryptocurrency will not be as different as now the price of Bitcoin is different from the rest of cryptocurrency. Sky-high projected prices for Bitcoin, these are only pink dreams of its holders and they are unlikely to ever come true. The laws of the market say the opposite and above all the Bitcoin holders themselves will constantly keep its price down because they want to lock in their profits.
I believe that with time, the Altcoins will become free from price domination or it will be completely insignificant.

But not with LiteCoin which has character traits for Halving.
I bought Litecoin on the Indodax market and now LiteCoin prices are up by around 6-7%.
I also saw a price chart that was different between Bitcoin and LiteCoin in Coinmarketcap when I made this post.

Altcoin is the future of Bitcoin, with Altcoin we can see products that continue to look good all the time, such as crypto wallets, crypto phones and others.
Altcoin prices always follow the trend of Bitcoin prices, this will always happen because Bitcoin is very strong and has many large investors from 2010

I also do not like this situation with altcoins. I don’t like it when Bitcoin goes down, since altcoins are very long restored after that, because Bitcoin is very popular and its recovery is fast, and altcoins are not popular and their price goes up and needs very good news.

Sometime the price didnt recover like btc. Thats the problem with altcoins sometime they can go down and never recover again. It happens so many times in crypto space  But there some cases that the alts are going down then after a week it increases so high like up to 500% from its price. Normally fuds and shill affect the price easily than TA analysis.

Unfortunately, this is so. Altcoins can very quickly fall in value after Bitcoin, but they restore their price very slowly. This is especially obvious this year and right now. Everyone has already noticed that Bitcoin has grown three to four times this year, and so far altcoins have risen very little. It remains to hope that this is a feature of this particular year and that they will continue to be more mobile.

Of course Altcoin can't experience big changes like that experienced by Bitcoin, this is because the Bitcoin community is bigger than Altcoin.  But not with top Altcoin like Ethereum and Bitcoin cash, both of them can experience changes like Bitcoin.  So we have to know all that.

most of alts have really experiencing that scenario. Maybe because of their growing numbers in the market theeat traders may not able to focus the while investment I to one area that could pump the price but I'm still hopeful the recovery of alts will still be happen within this year.

The advantage of Bitcoin their is only one Bitcoin compare to Altcoins that is traded in different exchanges that offer same product, different supply  and competing against each other to be on the top.
