My Activity Score Started Counting Again But.....

So guys and ladies, back track to this POST/THREAD, you will learn when; and that my Activity Score count was previously frozen when I attained the activity score of 2000.

Coming back to; from a day before yesterday, I noticed that my Activity Score Started Counting again; and from the 2000 where it initially stopped, I am very happy 😊 for this development, but I have a very small and simple question to ask, and it's...

Of what importance is the activity score when it's not correct?

I mean, counting from when it got frozen on the 31st of January till now, that's like 3 months and counting, what happened to my Activity on the forum in those 3+ months? - I've been making atleast, 5+ posts everyday on this forum in those 3+ months...

I know that there are no special benefits that comes with high activity score, but then, wouldn't it have made more sense if such data are always correct for all users?

Congratulations, a few days ago my frozen activity was also started once again. I think we somehow reached the requirements which were set by admin and that's why our activity got unfrozen once again.

I also made around 5 posts per day and a few days more than that. However, I noticed that the activity doesn't matters a lot as long as you reach higher ranks but still it's good to see our activity moving upward once again.

Probably because admin just fixed that feature, iirc he mentioned it that he is working on that, can't remember where is that though. That's why most or all activity from teleported accounts never moved/updates maybe because of the reasons of manual adding the activity that is based on bitcointalk, or something like that.

Reading the posts from the linked topic, it seems to me that the forum has some prerequisites that must be met in order for the activity to continue after it is frozen. It is obvious that a member cannot continue to progress when it comes to activity points if he does not meet some other conditions, which is good in a way because it requires a lot more time and effort.

Maybe it's a little strange that we don't know the exact formula, but still the next rank that someone can reach after Legendary is Mythical, so it is logical that the progress towards that rank will be somewhat mystical

That's what determines how close you are to your next rank and not the total number of your posts. I think there's a factor for being a teleported account why we have a longer period of frozen activities compared to local users, as we teleported our account here, we have been given a certain activity number that does not match with our account post-history.

There is a certain requirement to unfreeze the activity but I'm also not sure about all of it. The only thing I always read is to ignore it and continue to become active in contributing to the forum and posting. In the long run, you just suddenly see it moving without expecting it.

I remember admin mentioning about a bug that's causing activity to freeze. I think your account was affected by that. Now that activity started to move, I guess the bug has been fixed. Maybe admin can adjust your activity based on your post count but don't expect it to be done so soon.

😂 I don't need to say that the last part of your post got me laughing really hard, indeed, the forum's rank up system is mystical, in other words, mysterious, as there is no definite, or defined criteria one must meet, aside from activity score, no other is mentioned any where, not even the number of required positive Karma and so.

But on the other hand, I think I like the system though, with this structure, it removed the pressure of wanting to rank up by all means; from users, allowing it all to happen naturally.

Well, even in my first post when this issue began, both the reply from the admin to my several pm, and admin's reply to the thread, I cant recall anywhere the admin mentioned anything about the activity system being buggy, he simply said that there were some areas I was lagging behind in terms of what I need to achieve for my next rank,, also the same thing several other top forum users said as well, no one said or mentioned that the activity system was buggy.

OMG your activity stuck for 3 months, that's seems unusual as my activity also got stuck and of other's members too but it did not stuck for such a long time, I think its some kind of mistake. Well, whatever the reason is you should have contacted the admin about it. Well, from what I have learned by reading the replies of mods and admin on this issue, they say they total uptime, karma, contribution, etc. are considered and mods say.

Forum's algorithm is such a way that it stuck your activity to check the longevity and devotion of the member to this forum like if you re new to the forum it will stuck your activity after sometime to make an assessment of you and after the conclusion your activity will be unfrozen.

Of course, there is a reason behind it. The rank-up up now tied with many things like your number of karma, how much time you have spent on the forum (like logged-in time on Bitcointalk) and most importantly, the activity count as well. Now, the admin said somewhere that those formulas are hidden because it will help abusers know what to do to rank up faster. Even usual forum members will focus on ranking up quickly.

The Admin kept the formula hidden to prevent focusing on ranking up which is not a bad decision. The forum stopped counting your activity because it may think you haven't spent enough time to get more activity. This is why login time is also another requirement of rank up in this forum.

Your activity also got stuck? I thought there was a fixed number of activities a user was supposed to get to before it becomes stuck - all the users I have seen with stuck activity had either 2000 or 1000 activities I haven’t seen any other being stuck and yours is not up to that amount - I guess it doesn’t work the way I thought it would.

By the way, I didn’t experience any issue when I got to the 1000 threshold (I don’t know what will happen at 2000 though) but hopefully, if this is a bug I hope it get fixed before then or if it’s on purpose as mentioned above I hope I meet all criteria needed - I wouldn’t want to be stuck with a certain number of activities for a long period of time.

Manually adjusting for individual accounts would be a lot of work, and I don't think it's necessary when there is more pressing work to be done.

To be honest, I'd never had to look at my activity points until I saw this topic, and I'm not sure if it was frozen or not, but I took a screenshot of my profile today so I can check it in a few weeks or months.

Teleported accounts will barely make it to the mythical rank, which is reasonable given how many ranks we have already bypassed. The mythical rank comes with various rewards, therefore whomever achieves it must truly deserve it.

Yeah, we are aware of this and I don't think it's really important because when activity = 2000, the member rank is already Legendary and eligible to experience the Karma system and receive maximum rewards in bounty signature campaigns. I don't think higher ranks are necessary, similar to Karma, they are just recognition of a member's contributions to the forum.

For bounty managers, I think they will understand and check the participant's profile before making a decision on the reward (in BTC/LTC) for the premium signature campaign. Usually, in signature campaigns with rewards in project tokens, hunters are required to report links to their posts for the week and bounty managers can easily check and verify.

The exact formula is to reach a certain number of activity, in this case 2,000, and the time that the user has been connected to the forum. This formula is different for each range, and the waiting time until the activity is counted again depends a lot on each user. I seem to remember (I'll try to find the post) that my activity counter also stopped when it hit 2,000, but it only stopped for 48 hours or even less if I remember correctly.

As you say (I hope many people read this thread to understand it better) the important thing is to be active and participate in the forum, this way the activity will continue to increase and almost without realizing it our account will rise in rank without long waiting times. Spending time thinking that our activity is not counted will only distract us from the main objective, be active in the forum.

It wouldn't be strange or unusual for a signature campaign to one day have requirements for a certain amount of karma and rank, or pay more to users with higher ranks and amount of karma, It is even possible that the reputation of the users (who lately can also teleport from BTT) plays an important role in that aspect. I understand that it is normal that in some campaigns the signature is used by the users with the most experience and best reputation in the forum, in the end they are "representatives" of the brand of that campaign.
