Bitcoin Forum / Re: will people lose intrest?
« on: July 20, 2018, 05:34:17 AM »
I guess with no positive news and the continued hostility of many nations against bitcoin, many investors have totally lost their interest on bitcoin, but not in crypto in general. They might just be channeling their funds on altcoins, thus continue to make money. But I'm sure that when bitcoin started to rise again, those FOMO will be back . Lol.

With all the negatives news and attacks and countries going against it,  I doubt that we can see a repeat performance this year. We have been struggling from the beginning of 2018 and dramatic price fall from $19K>> $6K so I doubt that we can even hit all-time-high this year. Although is has somewhat making a break out run above $7K in the last 3 days or so, I think there's no news that will push the price even further. I speculate that $10K will be a safe estimate, at the end of the year, imho.

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: ETH to hit 2k ?
« on: July 19, 2018, 06:51:33 PM »
Can ETH really hit 2k by the end of 2018?

I don't think that ETH can go to $2K at the end of 2018. I think we can see that price most likely around 2019. We all know that ETH though has some correlation with Bitcoin price, if Bitcoin goes around $15K, we might see ETH at around $1K but that's too stretch already.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum accuses EOS of attacked
« on: July 19, 2018, 05:59:28 PM »
This is really a poor and fishy step. Only for one person, the EOS has been accused. So, the crime was related to increasing the gas price of ethereum.

I have just learned today that it is possible to increase the gas price by doing such an activity. Everyone should read this post from the given link.

Thanks. This is eerie similar to what Bitcoin Cash did to Bitcoin network before. Pushing the transaction fee because the network is being spam, EOS learned from that trick and that's why Ethereum users are complaining in the last couple of days.

Ethereum Forum / Re: BTC or ETH in 2018
« on: July 19, 2018, 07:06:03 AM »
I don't think that there's no question that bitcoin is still the king of crypto followed closely by Ethereum. This trend might continue for a very long time until such time that another coins challenges their dominance in the market.

Well it survived the latest attack from EOS, so there's no question that it can outlived those attackers specially the coins who wanted to overtake them. But I guess it will be more attacks in the future but they will all failed, imho.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum ICO or bounty campaign participants
« on: July 19, 2018, 06:32:17 AM »
Are there any people here who participated in the ICO of the Ethereum project or its bounty campaign? Have you preserved your coins to this day?

I have participated in few ICO's and I have taken the profits already but there's still one token that I'm holding because I believed that it worth for a long term hold.

Ethereum Forum / Ethereum accuses EOS of attacked

Quote
EOS, the popular decentralization-oriented blockchain may be deliberately attacking the Ethereum network through various dishonest tactics. This is what Justo, a dapp developer from the team behind PoWH3D and Fomo3D, concluded after some serious research and later discussed in an interview covered by TrustNodes.

Anyone read the news or are familiar with it?

It really depends on tbe bounty manager. They can choose to pay the same or they can pay different. Some bounties even have seperate pools for bitcointalk and altcoinstalks. So far, for the 2 bounties that i am conducting, i have made the same for both forum but in the reality, i would prefer to have more bitcointalk members joining cause the banner/signature they wearing will have a lot more exposure due to the number of visitors to the forum.

I agree, but this new forum has a possibility to be as big as bitcointalk so I'm glad that you are a few managers who chooses both as medium to let bounty hunters earn by helping promote your project.

But having said that, i would also like to highlight that for the interest of the ico, the main objective of the signature campaign etc, is always about creating exposure in bitcointalk which is the most active forum in the crypto world. The ico, in fact, mainly care for bitcointalk and is not interested in any other forums unless the bounties include bitcointalk.

So speaking as such, the main priority is still on bitcointalk.

Yes, as a bounty manager, I know where you coming from. But thanks for also giving this community to participate in your bounty although I have yet to rank up and can't joined your campaign.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Altcoins BETTER than BITCOIN?
« on: July 18, 2018, 12:26:36 AM »
I think the better term should altcoins challenge bitcoin's dominance in the market? Better performing altcoins such as ETH or even Bitcoin Cash can diminish bitcoin dominance in the market because we have seen it already, however, its not sustainable that why bitcoin was able to take back the lion share of the market.

Forum related / Re: Are you an active member?
« on: July 17, 2018, 05:20:14 PM »
I feel very active and excited for the potential of this forum.  I'm ready to start pushing as a Spartan and am now working up towards Legend.. I appreciate the opportunity after missing out on the other forum and struggling so hard to get ranks (maybe one every 6 months at this rate).

There will be always a time that you can't visit the forum because of other matters IRL. But it doesn't mean that you are not active, others might take a short break or even a vacation so that's understandable as well.

Goodluck working on your Legendary status, hope that one day you will achieved that rank. As for new I'm still a newbie so there's a lot of posting and activity that I need to work on.

Is it possible to happen? Altcoins crushing bitcoin in terms of price, trading, etc.? I am just curious about all of your thoughts, so don't hesitate to reply and get yourself justified

This is for all of us to gain knowledge between ALTCOINS and BITCOIN.

Isn't it that several altcoins have tried already?

1. ETH - so-called Flippening. Failed
2. Bitcoin Cash - Failed
3. Ripple - Rippening. Falied.

So I guess if someone attempts to overthrow bitcoin, it will be very difficult as we all know that bitcoin has a foothold and dominated the crypto sphere for almost 10 year now.

Forum related / Re: Do you enjoy coming altcoinstalk?
« on: July 17, 2018, 04:54:11 PM »
for me it is really nice to have the altcoinstalk come, because I know that it can help all of us.
I agree with you Mate.Altconstak.com is very interestibg because in BCT i'm only a Junior and can't rank up but this site I can be a Hero member.

I don't think that we should compare the two community specially ranking wise. A lot has changed in BCT that made potential members find alternatives like this community. Let's hope this community will blossom as well specially altcoins enthusiast.

I really like the attitude of the Rodrigo Administration, although they have been heavily criticize for its hardline stance against the drug menace in the Philippines, at least they know something what can really bring change to their country, and crypto is one. So kudos for the Philippines and I hope that they will not change their attitude towards crypto.
