Steem was created on the wave of new ways to " monetise " Btc as it to have some on chain action and value transfers so people started Blogging posting voting and spamming a huge army of bots entered the scene and  exploted the system people got put off and steem started to decline idk where is it now but it seems as a beginning of an end

All decentralized social networks are terrible and stimulus, including, it is not possible to be on the yenm, starting from design, ending with functionality and the most dibbled monetization system, so it was dead from the very beginning, and it was not worth anything, a purely project on which you can post your articles for bounty!

There is less and less hype around steem which is also reflected through activity on this sub forum a great project plagued by exploits and bots . But its legacy will live and one day we hope to see a steem like page that actually works and is bot and explot proof based on steem it experience
