Having our data stored by the CEX is what most privacy enthusiasts fear when nothing is forever safe. If the purpose of the KYC was just to verify the holder information, resident, etc if they are genuine and all the information is deleted it's another thing but saving it can lead to vulnerability of the owner of the private information if the person in charge of the CEX users private information sell it or was hacked and the information falls into the wrong hands.
Meanwhile, all this and more is the reason why people's private information is sold on the dark web.

Most bad actors don't always care about the amount of crypto you're holding when they can make millions and more through the use of private information to execute their shady transactions.
If you must use a crypto mixer I will advise you to be sure they offer the quality privacy you want.
Yeah, I am aware of the potential risks associated with providing KYC information on CEXs, such as the misuse of personal information or the risk of fraud in the future if hackers obtain our personal data. However, similar to the level of security we experience when using banking services or trading on stock exchanges, hundreds of millions of CEX users are accepting this in exchange for convenience, investment opportunities, and the ability to profit from crypto market.
I understand your point and, sadly, we can't exclude the use of CEX at some point if we want to maximize the chance presented by the market which is the reason why some people use CEXs for investment opportunities, the profitability of the market but for convenience, i will never agree with that because it's better to prioritize security over convenience.
Having said that, we can compare cryptocurrency with banking services, or stock exchanges in which the government play a key role in how they are operating because the foundation of crypto was to operate without the middleman (government, institutional banking, etc).

I understand that the need to protect personal data is paramount for many people, and they genuinely desire anonymity through various services. For the time being, I trust the most reputable CEXs in the crypto market and focus on investing. I only hope that my account will not be frozen due to involvement with "dirty" coins. And that is my sole purpose for using MixTum over other Mixer services.

Of course, I do not object to or deny the different purposes of other Mixtum users ^^
Ok but in the crypto market space, you shouldn't trust any CEXs except yourself due to what has happened to some reputable CEXs in the past where we see their CEO abusing the user funds not to talk about taking precautions to prevent accounts from frozen by CEX.

This need may arise completely suddenly, so it makes sense to be familiar with the tools in advance that allow you to gain this anonymity. Or rather, return it. After all, anonymity in Bitcoin was initially something taken for granted. This was the norm, not a privilege. Nowadays it is almost becoming a luxury, and only tools like MixTum or UniJoin allow you to have it.
In fact, I have been using CEX with full KYC without any problems. I think this will become more common in the future as the crypto market develops, similar to investing on stock exchanges.

My data is stored by CEX and I believe that someone other than CEX members or the police may be able to access it.

At the same time, I am not afraid that someone will know how many tokens I have, even if they are only worth a few hundred or a few thousand $. My only concern is that I could be involved in "dirty" money: BTC from hacks or data breaches and terrorist financing. I use MixTum and a few other Mixers only to ensure the security of my CEX account against this risk.

cbdc is a scam, like inflation and taxes, product of corrupt government system.
The government would do anything to destroy privacy solutions and promote censorship tools like cbdc. The U.S government have just taken down another privacy tool in Samourai wallet.
A lot of people may not know that the real agenda of the government when they created CDBC was not a sign of their acknowledgment of blockchain and cryptocurrency. It's just like the government saying people like the innovation of crypto and we can't stop them no matter how hard we try let's give them the taste of their medicine.

This is the reason why it took them years to create a strategy and the implementation of CDBC that would give them the power to enslave the people. I believe a lot of crypto enthusiasts are already aware of what is explained which is why none of the Central Bank's digital currency thrived after some years because it (CDBC) doesn't present the wow factor nor solve problems which are the two elements that determine the usage of every digital currency and any product.

Having said that, what I fear now is the future result of the BTC spot ETF.

Mixtum is a great project.
I see there is potential team behind their project.
TBH, Glad  to join the mixtum bounty to learn more about mixtum project and want to try.

Nice to see mixtum open signature bounty here.
If  allowed, accept me.
Thank you icopress..
I have tried the service of MixTum and what I find is that so far, all the people I knew on this forum who have used their services have only said positive things about the platform. One thing I learned about the cryptocurrency space is that they never lie about an issue that is publicly discussed, especially on the decentralized crypto forum. However, I wish the mixer representative could tell us what the mixer team is doing to prevent a bug in the future that can be used by attackers to deanonymize past transactions that have been processed by the mixing services.

I planned to use the platform mixing service for total privacy purposes, and the result so far has been good ever since I used the MixTum mixing service, but I'm a curious type of person and always want to be sure of what I am getting myself into, although sometimes time leads to me asking many questions, which some people don't like at some point.

I think most people do the same, holding Bitcoin for a rainy day. That’s why you need a mixer like this to do it once and lose traces. But since stablecoins are used more often in everyday life, I think creating a mixer for altcoins is much more relevant.

As you probably noticed, Unijoin has plans to add mixing for altcoins like ETH, LTC, and USDT. So we can only wait for it to appear on the Unijoin site. Personally, I think that LTC mixing may be popular because the LTC network has the MWEB feature, but at the same time, I am somehow skeptical about USDT mixing because the smart contract of this stablecoin allows Tether to blacklist any addresses.
I like the idea of having a mixer that will provide service for ETH after the arrest of the Tornado Cash owner and the blacklist of their website.

Out of curiosity, is there a link to the Unijoin announcement regarding the creation of a mixing service that will support ETH, LTC, and USDT?

Because the last time I checked Tether had frozen at least a 500Million USD worth of USDT  to assist law enforcement authorities with a money laundering case so I think it will be hard for a crypto mixer to avoid the same scenario unless there's a decentralized stablecoin they can add to their service.
I am Also impressed too, although I am a core Bitcoin enthusiast but still I think crypto is an open space and everyone is free to explore the varieties of coins available,  and Ethereum is arguably the next most famous crypto coin aside Bitcoin.

I think this offer would increase the adoption of cryptocurrency because there are holders of altcoins who are looking for ways to perform anonymous transactions and. A mixing services that supports those altcoin would make their lives easier for them.

But do you think that there may be some negative side as we know performing transactions on the Ethereum network fees are very high here, would the fees using an Ethereum mixer be even higher than it's normal transactions? If so people can just convert to Bitcoin and mix the Bitcoin.
Altcoin mixing service will increase the adoption of cryptocurrency, how?
Based on my understanding it will increase the traffic of the crypto mixer platform that provides the service just like we see with Tornado Cash before the platform was blacklisted.

Of course, for every advantage, there will be disadvantages, and the negative effect I believe will happen is Tether will freeze the USDT sent by the mixer user if the law enforcement authorities order Tether to do so.

You can still use Tornado Cash to mix your coins, the smart contract is still active, the problem is exchanges refusing coins labeled coming from there, which will be the same pain in the ass for USDT in case of a mixer. Since this is a centralized protocol, all the coins are issued by them, they can control everything, I don't really see the point in trying to mix them, it's a bit asking for trouble, probably the reason why everybody stayed out of it to this point.
ETH and LTC yeah, nice addition, USDT...not really sold on the idea!
I don't know Tornado cash smart contract is still active but there is no point in using the platform mixing service since most exchanges have already tagged it.
Is it possible to create a mixing service on Ethereum that will decentralized?

Unijoin use CoinJoin technology that provides the highest quality and most optimized method of mixing. It specializes on simplicity. In just a few steps you can achieve anonymity with cryptos. Plus our privacy is priority, That’s why it’s important for us to not jeopardize it by storing logs and we cab use Tor browser to achieve the highest level of anonymity.

This Bitcoin mixer offers a lot of benefits to take advantage of like break all links to your crypto finances and your activities and gain complete anonymity, no links can be created, we can anonymize our coins without creating an account plus maximum anonymity, all logs are deleted once your crypto mixing order is completed. At the top of the list of these benefits is user privacy and anonymity. UniJoin’s impressive features conceal users’ transaction history, granting them financial privacy. UniJoin also provides greater financial freedom by allowing users to avoid censorship and similar restrictions.

Unijoin is an essential aspect of user education is knowing the tools that can help navigate the complexities of the crypto landscape and the related regulations. Also it allows crypto users to invest in cryptocurrencies in restricted countries, securely store funds in their digital wallets anonymously, shop online, and transfer funds to other users without being traced by third-party individuals.

Unijoin is  a legitimate service, and its use minimizes the risk of legitimate users being linked to illegal activities.
If the Unijoin mixing service uses CoinJoin technology which you claimed was standard in the mixing ecosystem. As someone who is looking for a mixing platform that will provide at least 90% privacy for my Bitcoin is there a cons I should know?

There was a time I read that the use of CoinJoin is almost like a TOR browser if not set up properly the needed anonymity won't be achieved. Is this true? If yes, how can someone like me who's new in the space of crypto mixing get the needed privacy when using UniJoin?

I would also like to know the difference between Jambler and CoinJoin service.
I ask this question cause I learned about a certain Bitcoin mixing days ago which is a partner of Jambler.

Mixtum mixer is difficult to base on (how you explained) but I want to use the platform with Tor.

If you don't actually understand the method that had been explained so far, I think you can always turn to the website because that is where you could see different format on how you can mix your coin in a way that suit your interest. Mixing is not something difficult like one could think but our safety is very important, that's why it is always advised to use a strong VPN that could hide our identity.
You can use the free trial to test run how the system works so that you can become more conversant with the system.
Sorry for the misconception. There was a typo in the message.

What I mean is that the MixTum is not difficult to use as the user explained. However, I visited the website as you advised and checked everything carefully.  I want to use their mixing service for privacy priority, so I need to be careful and also sure that I am mixing the Bitcoin the right way.

You said "strong VPN" but for the record, some VPNs could provide their user IP address to the authorities, so I never trust VPN service.

The reason why Tor is used is to hide our privacy from the public. Other strong VPN can likewise be used too if they work well and keep us safe. Maybe you can take a look at the Mixtum website and use the free trial for a better understanding.
In your words using a strong VPN when privacy is prioritized is good? No, I will never trust platforms that can see, or save their user IP address and this is why I consider Tor to be the best solution for this.

It nice to have you guys on this forum  I read the OP page but I would like to know if MixTum actually help people to create their own functioning mixing service? If yes, what's in it for the MixTum team?

You didn't understand something well. Mixtum.io is a partner of Jambler. Jambler.io is a kind of gateway service for mixers, and they offer the possibility to start your own mixer service. A very sustainable business idea.
Thanks for the clarification. I was just curious about that aspect when I read about the MixTum anonymity service yesterday.
Although I have been into cryptocurrency for some time now but not a privacy enthusiast and I have never thought about using a Bitcoin mixer service until now that big investment companies like BlackRock have an interest in Bitcoin and I read that privacy will be an issue when the spot ETF is approved. In preparation for privately securing my BTC bag is the reason why I am looking into the BTC mixer that has the delighted anonymity service. I was surprised "How can I create my own Bitcoin mixer" on the MixTum mixer page yesterday that's the reason for the question I asked.
Is there some guide to follow to get the best anonymity service when using MixTum mixer?
there are alot of benefits by giving priority on anonymity and privacy. you never can tell who is watching you. its certain that privacy would be a hot topic and companies like blackrock has clients with huge amount also the spot ETF saga has gained more attention for bitcoin so to protect your identity mixers comes in very handy

Mixtum mixer is not complicated and can easily be used, the whole mixing process can be better shortened to you sending your bitcoin to the service and they send it to addresses you provided but this transaction is different from the normal bitcoin transaction you do because using a mixer like mixtum transactions are untraceable and private but still there are factors to consider like which brower you use, TOR brower would just be fine and you can learn more about Mixtum mixer service by going through others review.
I agree with what you said and it's the benefit that involves giving priority to anonymity which will protect from prying eyes is the reason why I consider the use of Bitcoin mixer service especially now when the big fish have more interest in Bitcoin and hackers are pulling a different tricks everyday.

As an example we can take recent Microsoft leading Executive emails that were breached, which I believe is due to "nothing is ever safe on the internet" but "prevention is better than cure" (they say) which makes crypto mixing one of the tools that will give me the prevention.

Mixtum mixer is difficult to base on (how you explained) but I want to use the platform with Tor. I once heard that using Tor is enough with the right setup and I don't want to leave a single stone unturned since I am not knowledgeable in the area of privacy.

This is the first time I will see Apple and Google stores making the right decision. However, I believe the reason why some cryptocurrency exchanges still operate illegally in some countries is something caused by the government due to their stance towards cryptocurrency in the country.
The government ought to legalize crypto so that they will have the privilege to tax it.
