Op tag for the author of a thread.

For those coming from the bitcointalk background, with only the thread title, you should be able to understand what I meant. Although this feature was recently implemented in bitcointalk. But it is a good feature that will make anyone track the author of a particular thread even after the first page in the ongoing conversation. This is important because as conversation ensures,  you would be willing to track the opinion of the topic creator to see if the purpose of the thread is met or defeated. So, at every time the topic creator drops a comment in the thread they created, it should have the OP tag beside the username of the OP as shown in the image below.


The emphasis in the picture is the OP. I deliberately included the avatar of yahoo62278 here to give him a fee less promotion.

It's not the top priority for the admin but it's still a good addition to the forum. Why don't you add poll to the thread and let the admin know the interest from members? Needless to say, my vote would be a Yes.

Disregarding the Admin's opinion, I would also that this is not the most important feature the forum needs right now, but like Zed0X said, it still would be nice to have such a feature, but we should also very much understand that this said features on bitcointalk was not built and implemented by theymos (the admin of btt), that feature was built and implemented by a user by the username "PowerGlove", the nigga seems to be a very talented builder and programmer, and he has contributed greatly in the building and implementing some useful features we all use in the btt forum.

So, what exactly am I saying?, we mustn't leave everything to the admin, those of us who are good builders and programmers can actually make out some time and build some of this features and programme it the way it should work, and then pass the finished code to the admin for examination and testing, and I trust that the admin will be happy to implement such feature after the code has passed the test and confirmed no malicious code lurking in it.

That's a good feature and a needed one but it's not that important right now. However, in feature admin may think about that feature and possibly add it to this forum as well. Yeah, the OP tag thing works flawlessly on Bitcoin and hope to see it on this forum as well in coming days.

This is a good to add in the OP's name so as we engage in the whole topic , we  knew the creator and we can address them directly
without checking the main Thread , sometimes we are lazy to check who is the creator instead we show more interest in the whole topic
so we often forgot who is the OP.
It is important to see in each page of the topic what are OP's answer or if he is still active or just created the thread for spamming purposes .

Why is it so important to know who was the author. If the topic goes forward and people like communicating there with each other, the topic starter starts meaning less and less. It is a forum not a blog, you can ignore the topic starter if you want to talk to other topic participants and still stay on topic. Follow the thread of the discussion, not the topic starter.

Yes, I agree with what rby have said. The "OP" Is really  a very helpful feature on the bitcointalk forum and it will also be helpful here to easily identify the original creator of a topic anytime they make comments on their topic.
