I believe there is no confirm news whether ALI BABA buys $20 billion worth of bitcoins or not. Is there any source link that confirms this news? Please provide it in your post. I believe it's only a rumour as there is no source I see to confirm this. If such big players start pouring money into BTC then we can not Imagine the growth of BTC in the coming months.

Alibaba, the world famous online shopping company, is following in his footsteps. I had been expecting that Alibaba would be making some splash into the Bitcoin party though I am not so 100% convinced of this story. I would expect that Alibaba would do it without any news or fanfare since they know that the China government has no favorable stand on cryptocurrency yet. At any rate, regardless whether this true or not, still this is a big good news and can have temporary push for the value of BTC in the marketplace. Seems to me that these past few days no good news within the Bitcoin sphere made a mark on the coin so this Alibaba thing is quite welcome.

Thanks for posting that screenshot, but I can't read Chinese or Japanese. I think you were wrong to open this thread as I still cannot find any truthful information that says Alibaba has invested in Bitcoin. There is no media that has published anything about it. The news must be contrasted with the known media, not with tweets. A few days ago, an idiot said on Twitter that the SEC was going to tax the exchanges and it was a lie. We must be aware of what we do and say.

If that was actually the case, I find it ironic because Jack Ma is also one of the people saying bitcoin is a bubble. Even if the Chinese government were withholding information, news like this would have been made public anyway. The major news agencies would have put it on the front page of their official websites quickly. There is still no official media to confirm the news, so I imagine it will be fake news.
