  I think metamask is only supporting ethereum and ethereum based erc20 tokens , of course binance is popular and safest exchange but exchange wallets are not best to hold cryptocurrencies for long term because it not safe so if you want to hold litecoin for long term just use hardware wallets.

There are many wallets for litecoin in the market.i prefer to hardware wallets.Ledger nano s /nano X and trezor are best hardware wallets. I'm using ledger nano s.There are almost no defects in this wallet and easy to use.also it always improves the security system.
