Majority of crypto users will not stay long in crypto if the market keep falling non-stop. People go into crypto to earn profits and a bear market will not provide them with this advantage sooner or later they will start losing interest in crypto and leave the market.

Based on the current situation, the waiting time will not be short. Like what you say 3 years is possible also, what i guess is 1-2 years is at least needed to anticipate a bull market.
