Seeing the market and the coins in the market, how Ethereum and Ripple has been struggling to take the #2 position which Ripple has finally taken, I want to ask, how long do you think Ripple will remain as #2 on CoinMarketCap?

It depends on their respective community which determines the position that deserves the number two ranking in the coinmarketcap

If XRP demand keep rising, i think it will stick to number 2 position, but if otherwise, Ripple will go back to number 3 position. There has been great numbers of Ethereum users, and many project were also built on Ethereum platform until the recent collapse. However, if ETH users will regain the confidence they had before now, even from the bear market, ETH will bounce back to the number two position.

Ripple will remain in that position till the end of the bare market. And after this, ETH will take its place. ETH is of more value compared with XRP. XRP can take between #3, #4, #5 position, cause BCH and Litecoin are coming back soon.

From my own view, the demand of XRP will increase as time goes on, because of the decline in the market price of all token, XRP has a faster recovery and profit oriented. ETH has lots of backers and strongly supported by lots of organizations, its popularity and usage is on a wide range. XRP will remain there in this bare market, and will settle in #3 or #4 when the market stabilize to its up run.

No one knows until when ripple remain as the rank #2 in coinmarketcap. Seeing the market cap of ripple is greater than ethereum that made ethereum at rank #3. I guess if ethereum demands will be doubled there will have changes of rankings.

it might be long and last until next year. with so much good news about ripple, I'm sure ripple prices will be stable until the end of the year.

It's a really hard question because we all know that these two cryptocurrencies are doing very well in terms of their
upgrades and developments on their blockchain system but I think Ripple can still hold that position until the end of
the year if this bearish market continues.

It looks like XRP will remain at number for many more months. I just read Ethereum's 2.0 won't be release next year and that there's a plan to launch ethereum 1x as an intermediary or what I call a band-aid solution.

observing the market collapse, Ripple maintains a rather strong position and in my opinion will hold it until half of the next year even with a gain as stronger coins continue to lose confidence by their rapid decline and the gain will not be as significant in a short time

All coins can be number 2 in cmc. After ethereum drops in rank 3 I still hope the ripple will remain in position 2. but we can see what ethereum will do after the end of the year whether to make the ripple stay in second place

Market competition continues to compete for position 2 in the coinmarketcap. and not only rank 2-3 other ranks of other coins are competing to keep their position high

It looks like XRP will remain in position 2 in CMC until the end of 2018, it's been around 1 month XRP continues to occupy the 2nd position, but I don't know what will happen in 2019 later between ethereum and XRP

My prediction ripple will be number 2 not replace by ethereum forever. I think ripple will challenge bitcoin one day.

I think after next month upgrade of ETH we will see who take the second throne. Currently ETH is a little weaker than Ripple but ETH developer promise that with this new upgrade ETH will rise again

No one knows. If the community trust Ripple, For sure it will be stayed in the number 2 rank on CMC. We will see in the bull run if ripple can still be number 2.

If the cryptocurrency market is bullish then Ethereum can go up to rank 2.
Because of the fact and many say that the Ripple tends to be stable, there is no surge that extream of decreases and price increases.

I’m afraid this won’t be long because next month ETH will have a big upgrade for the network and it was promising that will make ETH network faster and more stable, after this upgrade ETH can take back the second place from Ripple

I think it just short term period only then Ripple drop again it will go third place although still Ripple performance is very well in the cryptomarket . It is beginning of a good future thus many investors believe on Ripple network.

I think it is not short term just who is grow faster in 2019, it will on 2nd place in cmc, ethereum still has chances in 2019 ethereum can grow up 10 time since bottom price a week ago. But also ripple still has chances to keep in 2nd place in cmc because ripple now very popular, and good performance in bearish market.

As long as Ripple continues to work with Banks around the world, I make sure Ripple will continue to rise in price and continue to be ranked number 2 at Coinmarketcap.

I think it's just only short-term Ripple has good technology and top coin although many cryptocurrency users didn't like centralized system and still ethereum team is working on ethereum upgrade so ethereum will rise again soon.

I think, Ripple will not remain long last because still ethereum network is maintaining theirs technology so still pending the ethereum hardfork realise although currently ethereum is overtaken again so my opinion ethereum will up again to second position.

It was just a temporary position that ripple occupied on the cmc as its usual spot is 3. Ethereum will surely recover from the bullish market and be on the bull run to take its number 2 position on coin market cap.

xrp can't maintain that position since ethereum was among the best cryptocurrency and very active in the space. it was just an occusional situation that xrp grab the number 2 spot. nevertheless, this coin was performing very well in the cryptoworld. i myself keep some coin and waiting for the massive increase. i am very much hopeful that someday this coin will give me big profit. its not yet the right time for xrp to hold the number 2 spot but at least it proven ita worth in the crypto space.

I'm not sure ripple can rank 2 in CMC,
as long as ETH prices continue to rise, ripple will be hard to beat ETH in the CMC ranking, this is a sure thing, and can not be avoided,
ETH has lots of uses, whereas XRP? but let's wait, maybe XRP has a miracle so that the market demand for XRP increases.

I think ripple is potential altcoin so it moved in second position although that's not enough to take second position to long times because this is the competition with other potential altcoins .so ripple dropped second position in few weeks.

I the major thing that will keep Ripple remaining that position is just to keep increasing in value above Etherum if not there will be possibilities that it may lost it's position if another coins takeover in terms of value.

It was already over. Ripple was only several months in the second position. But now, it will be hard to replace Ethereum. ETH has already been stronger day after day. I think ETH will be difficult to overtake this time.

Ripple maintained the second position that was only short term then it moved to the third position actually ripple is maintaining in the third position for long time but still it going good condition in cryptomarket so in future it will move up again.

Last year Ripple moved to second position from third position but it was there to short time only then it dropped from second position right now ripple fighting to third position because ripple price is declined too deeply thus it's market capitalization is decreasing so it moved to fourth position.

I think ethereum is more popular and more potential than ripple. I see ripple has maintained at the second for short term. Because I see ethereum has overtook again. USDT also have overtook ripple now. Lets see.

It is too short mate, ripple remain as #2 on Coinmarketcap.. Because Ethereum is really very potential coin. Ripple is good coin, but Ethereum is. more popular than ripple. Ethereum is smart contract platform.

I also see ripple is on 2nd position in 2018 , but at this time Etherium completely acchive 2nd position in coinmarketcap . I think if Ripple demand is increased in future then it's coinmarketcap Value also increase .
