On Tuesday, this proposal was brought back into the spotlight as part of the government’s budget plan for the next fiscal year. The DAME tax would charge Bitcoin miners a 30% tax on the cost of the electricity they use. This tax would be introduced gradually: starting at 10% in the first year, then increasing to 20% in the second year, and finally reaching 30% in the third year.
I did read this news before but I did not know the tax would be imposed in phases, well that's at least a good thing, as miners who are mining at bigger rates, might want to move out of the country in order to safe themselves from such a huge tax as 30% is a no way for me at least although I am not a miner. But I wonder if most of the miners even at a lower scale prefer not to use electricity from grids they prefer solar or wind energy.

Because that's cheap, I have seen a lot of videos of big mining farms which are running on wind or solar energy. Do these miners have to pay the tax as well, as our government is also considering imposing the tax on people using solar power to power their houses and shops, I mean why would a country impose such a tax while citizens are not using anything of theirs? That's just absurd. Well, let's see what happens if the presidency changes.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for All?

Online gambling sites are more vulnerable than offline sites, but if online sites can implement very strict KYC, it is clear that underage people will automatically be selected not to be able to play, but in practice it is rare for online sites to implement KYC strictly, and it is difficult to control it when compared to offline.
Yes, I think you are right that there are still many young people who should not be able to get involved in gambling, but the reality is that it still happens a lot, and it is not something strange anymore.
Prevention for school students is the best way not to fall into gambling compared to those who do not go to school.
Actually all gambling kinds between offlline or online are available for every one have reach 18 years old above, with offline gambling its easily controlling under age of 18 years old not allowed for gambling.
Current many platfrom gambling online site not requirement with KYC its difficult for protecting under 18 years old get allow for participating. Have remindering firstly with term of service gambling site under 18 years old restrict for creating gambling account.

I don't think gambling should be available to everyone. At least there should be control over it, although gambling can bring pleasure and emotion...
Gambling is not available to everyone currently;
-Gambling is not for the underage
-Gambling is also not suitable for people with some specific health challenges, like hypertension, mental health challenges, etc.

There are more category of people that should be added to the list of people not suitable to gamble, like
- people who have no source of income.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right for a lady to gamble ?

There should be equality in gambling - both women and men should have equal access to losing their savings. Moreover, everyone has a chance for luck, regardless of gender. Therefore, no one should be forbidden to do anything

I agree with that, although in the world there are some Countries that do not allow Women to play or carry out certain activities, first because of their religion and second because of the type of culture, I think that is something much Stronger , so they are things that They are Respected, but in my personal opinion I think that all women should have the same duties and rights as men , we should not deliberately judge that certain activities cannot kill them, and it is also something that is focused on fun, and I think everyone They should have fun and everyone Should do the best they can to Create a way to entertain themselves and make money, for me everyone should have that right.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Do professional traders lose money?
« Last post by milewilda on Today at 07:40:28 PM »
That's right, just because someone is an expert in something doesn't mean they will always be right about everything related to that, so even if someone has a lot of expertise about the cryptocurrency market, their predictions wouldn't always be correct because the market is unpredictable, and many times, it moves in directions that weren't expected by anyone in the market.

The recent dip in Bitcoin's price is a big example of this. A lot of people got liquidated in the dip because they had longed Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies but it fell down and they all lost money, one trader even lost $1.1m during this.
Learned with how many expert in trading of cryptocurrency still selling premium signal group its mean most of them want to earn profit by sharing signal and not confidence with their self consistent earn profit with trading. I don't see any professional of expert in trading not loss yet their money, many unpredictable happening in cryptocurrency when whales make bad or good news suddenly easy for bitcoin raise up and down.
Market unpredictable and spot trading for professional trader get chance loss their money, but when reach an expert level in trading understand well how to minimalize with loss.
To those people or traders who do really offer out that kind of premium signal and really that asking for some sub fees on which they arent that professionals at all.
If they were really that profitable then they wont really be making themselves that having kind of act since they could really be able to still make money on their own without
trying to handle up a community on which we know that it would really be having no sense i should say on having that kind of approach.  As a pro
then you could make easy money with trading but of course losing is something inevitable, the real deal on here is that you could really be able to make yourself that profitable in the end of the day.

General Discussion / Re: Relationships

What's your dream girl like? What qualities should she have, what should she be able to do?
When you ask what's your dream girl like, a lot of men would go after the physical attributes, by physical attributes, I mean the looks, body physiques and maybe how fluent she speaks too. These qualities are good and would sweep any man off his feet when a lady has an A in all of them, but for me, I think a lady that possesses these 3 qualities stands bigger chance of making a good wife material. First is Understanding, second is Trustworthy and third is Loving. These are the attributes that sums it all up.

These three attributes you have mentioned are worth the key factors to be included on the list when looking for a wife material or relationship, as they will please anyone who deems them fit for such.  If a lady possess these three qualities, be rest assured that your marriage with that lady is divine because you will have peace and rest of mind. No matter what happens to you as a man, that lady would stand and stay by your side till the end. These days, men are just carried away by the shape, beauty, and other physical attributes of a woman, which sometimes leads them into the wrong relationship or marriage, and when they enter, they are quick to leave because what they saw was not what they envisaged would happen after  they had wed, and that is the genesis of their marriage saga.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Phoenix Wallet another US ban?
« Last post by Charles-Tim on Today at 07:28:27 PM »
Phoenix Wallet is currently one of the best non-custodial lightning network wallets.
On Phoenix, you can not open a channel. You can easily just download the wallet and start using the wallet. This is not possible on noncustodial bitcoin lightning network wallet. I can generate invoice for pay on Phoenix without any channel opened for it. Or is there a way on the wallet to open and close a channel?

That's right, saving bitcoins for a very long time will certainly provide a lot of profit. If you want to save it for the next 10 years it will give you a lot of profit, I am sure that in the next 10 years the supply of bitcoin will run out and will make bitcoin very expensive.

Ten years is such a long time you might as well have your children inherit it, there's no guarantee of our lives and there's no certainty, like the pandemic or war.

If you're going to hold that long you must be comfortable with that, but it is better that you still follow the market, there will be some point that you need to sell to be able gain profit when the opportunity is presented.
