Forum related / Re: Time offset
« Last post by dkbit98 on Today at 10:55:17 PM »
That's where the confusion is. I think the forum server time in UTC will be easier for everyone. There are no need for +/- of any hour unless anyone wants to adjust it with their local time.
I never use UTC time for anything but I think this is the same as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) time.
Just by stating what time zone forum is using (next to the time) could also work fine.
Everyone could easily convert it to their local time zones by using calculators, for example timeanddate.com:

Forum related / Badges that encourage spamming the forum..
« Last post by Fivestar4everMVP on Today at 10:53:11 PM »
Hi ladies and gents..

Talking about forum spamming and all that, which I believe is something we all, or most of us frown to, I came across this thread in my local board, which while replying to a comment there, reminded me of a badge I won sometime in 2020, and that also reminded me how I had to spam the forum that day, to win that badge 😂, here is the badge below..

And here is even another I've not yet won, and may never win, since I can't win this without spamming the forum again 😩

So, there are no rewards whatsoever, that comes with owning any of this badges, but still, newbies (having nothing important to do with their time and looking for how to keep themselves busy) may decide to chase after owning one or both of this badges, and they are
First screenshot - Too Active - 25 posts in one day
Second screenshot - Super active - 50 posts in one day

And this process, they end up spamming the entire forum with irrelevant stuffs, back in September 2020, on one boring Wednesday, I was a newbie then(before teleporting), I discovered the "too active" badge requiring 25 posts in one day, I decided to chase and earn it, I made alot of rubbish posts on the forum and on different boards that day (won't lie), I earned it in the end, but not without spamming the forum.
So, coming up with this thread, is not me making anything up, but based personally experience..
Is it really worth it keeping this two badges? Knowing fully well that it encourages spam?

Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling be a career?
« Last post by vegasus on Today at 10:51:04 PM »
Gambling as a career? I often listen to it, but I personally don't believe it. Only pro gamblers who are extra experienced can definitely do it. And this is definitely not easy. Because, we have to actually gamble every day, with the caveat that we always win. and make a win that is much bigger than the loss that we might experience too. And of course, this must have good risk and financial management. but, is it possible? because not all gambling is based on skill, so there is some that is based on luck. is it possible that you will always be lucky?

Bitcoin Forum / Re: ordinals and inscriptions

If the price sky rocket to 120k usd or more, I can just sell a little bit without doing big consolidations
I think this bitcoin ''rocket'' is now going the other direction towards the bottom, and it's no surprise with so much bad news and fud recently  :-\
No idea how this will affect transaction fees and mempool, but we could see more cooldown in next few weeks.
We could have much bigger problems than fees in future...

I am as well putting out the same question out here for the  community, is there still going to be a bull run this year? Or should we just pack our bags and go home? 😬😁
Let's pack our bags and go on a vacation to Thailand haha. Just kidding. Well, I have that question in my mind as well. But then I give thought about why I want an out from the market, I don't want an out, I want to be in. But also, I want to be in profit. So, considering the current scenarios which are unique history-wise. So, predicting the future is a bit difficult at the moment. But in the long run, we should plan accordingly.

For example, if I invested in BTC then I will wait for 2025's first quarter if till then I saw some good profit I will be out of the market and then wait for the best opportunity to reinvest otherwise if things go south then obviously I don't have any other option but to wait for the next halving and bull run. And I don't want that so I will act accordingly. Newbies mostly came up with such questions, and to deal with them we should not say no we don't know the future instead we should give them the whole idea which we have in our minds if any.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Eth hold or Trade?
« Last post by salad daging on Today at 10:49:29 PM »
The market is now improving so it's best to wait if you hold potential coins.  because we are about to enter the bullish season.  The halving happened this week and the market is improving, although there are still many people who doubt the market this time, they think about a bearish season.  But I still have bullish belief it will happen after the halving.
After the Bitcoin halving this year it seems like nothing happened, the halving did not have a bullish effect but many people assume that later this year the bullish market moment will occur I hope it is true so that we can both benefit from the bullish market
It will not be instantly after the halving then the market will be bullish the past scenario does not show that way then for sure when is the time we never know but predictions always say until the end of the year or early 2025 YES this is quite reasonable.

This means that when the market is crashing a sharper decline, our opportunity to buy dips in coins that you believe in including Ethereum which has great potential for increase.
I don't think about when it's bullish but I think about how to increase the portfolio.

Wont creating Binance 2.0 with new benefits, rules (so he wont get into jail again), followed by a exchange token, create a boom in the industry? What if decides to create a DEX with all features Binance (CEX) have. I am sure that if he does something this with IPO, only lazy crypto enthusiast will not invest in it. I am not a big expert, but I think that when such big crypto figure gets released from custody, he will come up with something new. At least I think he wont stay silent and unnoticed.
Well, who the hell knows, to be honest, it seems to me that it all depends on how much they treated him while he was languishing in the dungeon. And the idea of a decentralized exchange is not new, I think the name does not play a special role. But to create an exchange without CUS, this would be a number , but this is unlikely.

Funny thing about using Binance is that I do not have a wallet to withdraw to even if I wanted to lol. I use binance to deposit bitcoin, and I then turn that into fiat and withdraw to my bank account if I want cash, that's it. Its cash in and cash out, while being bitcoin in the middle, so there is no scenario where I end up with any bitcoin moving out of binance, and still goes towards me. I could very well send someone bitcoin here and there, which is still quite rare because I don't do that commonly, but certainly to any address I own personally because at this point I stopped using any wallets at all.
