Here are current USDT transaction fees on several different blockchains:

Tron – 1.6-3.35 USD (or 0.32-0.67 if you buy energy)
Etherium – 0.69 USD
Binance – 0.12 USD
Ton (telegram) – 0.083 USD
Solana – 0.003-0.005 USD
Polygon - 0.001 USD

It's interesting, that most people I know send USDT via TRON blockchain, despite that its fees are relatively high.

And what blockchain do you mainly use for USDT?
USDT transaction fees on Tron are quite high compared to other blockchains, unless users stake TRX to get Bandwidth & Energy. When other blockchains offer cheaper fees, such as Ton, Solana, and Polygon or Layer-2 solutions with fees under $0.1, I think users will tend to abandon Tron. After all, Tron is not a blockchain with a truly vibrant ecosystem, all I know about Tron is TRC-20 USDT with quite cheap withdrawal fees from CEXs ~ 1 USDT. Honestly, I'm still surprised that half of USDT's market cap is still in TRC-20 USDT and TRC-20 USDT weekly trading volume is still at about $100B 8)

CMIIW, but doesn't AI trend only use enterprise GPU? That means miner could go after non-enterprise GPU.
Large AI companies' data centers use Nvidia enterprise GPUs that cost tens of thousands of $, such as the H100 Tensor Core which costs $40K. Of course, these GPUs are not in the sights of crypto miners, or at least I have never known anyone to use enterprise GPUs for their mining farms.

However, the demand for AI comes not only from large companies, but also from ordinary users. For example, the Nvidia GeForce RTX is popular for computers focused on AI features for users, which can deplete the supply of GPUs on the market and drive up GPU prices and increase miners costs.

Though open source is usually safer than proprietary software, it is not 100% immune to the presence of malicious code. While the open nature allows for code review and contributions from a diverse group of developers, this very openness can also be exploited by malicious actors who may introduce harmful code subtly. The sheer volume of code can make comprehensive auditing challenging.

Additionally, not all code changes are thoroughly reviewed due to time constraints, resource limitations, or trust in well-known contributors. Even with rigorous review processes, sophisticated malicious code can be obfuscated to evade detection. Therefore, the open-source model, despite its many advantages, does not provide an absolute safeguard against the infiltration of malicious elements.

The question stands - what steps one may take to make crypto assets storage safer? What precautions do you take?
We cannot guarantee that everything will be perfect, we can only choose the best within our ability. In addition to the risks inherent in the code of crypto wallets, users also face cyberattacks, scam Dapps or risks when storing their private keys themselves. It is really difficult to achieve absolute security, but for the time being, I think we can trust the most reputable crypto wallets on the market such as Exodus, SafePal, Blockchain...

To minimize risks, I think hardware wallets are the best solution because they have a special chip to protect users assets. As long as users do not connect their hardware wallets to Dapps, the only remaining risk is the process of self-protecting their private keys.

Look for liquidity and most importantly all statistics & analysis. If you don't understand what I mean, you can check uniswap info by searching it on google. You'll see uniswap has their own statistics.
Factors to consider when choosing a DEX:

1. Daily trading volume: The higher, the better, as this indicates that the DEX has a large user base.
2. TVL and LP: The higher, the better, as this helps to reduce slippage.
3. Trading pairs or number of tokens listed: The more, the better, as this gives users more options.
4. Order options: The more convenient, the better.
5. Uptime: The longer, the better.
6. Team: The more reputable, the better.
7. Tokenomics of the native token: This affects the future of the DEX.
8. Legal status.

this is like TWT token, Trust wallet token, They are trying to copy anything Binance has done to achieve profits. It is true that I do not like Bitget, but such platforms can survive in a bull market, so some profits may be made from investing in their token, but in any case, you must start selling before the bear market begins.
In my opinion, for all tokens, including BTC, we should sell in the distribution zone and buy back in the accumulation zone to optimize profits. For tokens based on crypto wallet, I really don't see any potential in them. They are only used in DAO and I don't think users really care about this feature. C98 token is backed by DeFi and the large ecosystem provided by Eighty Nine, including its own blockchain Viction, it is not just a crypto wallet token like TWT or BWB.

If I had to choose, I think I would choose BNB because it is supported by both Binance CEX and BNB chain, it has a lot of value and can actually generate profits for holders and investors. OKB of OKX is also very popular but OKX's blockchain is not really well-known and does not yet have a large enough ecosystem to compete with BNB chain.

I wish NFT never be revived, as the concept of it I can describe with one word - weird. Pictures that all of a sudden started to cost fortune. I think that NFTs were perfect instruments for scam and money laundering. I believe that only those who have lost money on NFTs wish them to return, while others feel nothing about them. As to Metaverse, I think we were not ready for it. The idea is great, but came to early and people were not able to realize its potential fully. By the time technology and availability be affordable for everyone, Metaverse would be transformed into something new. So I also dont wish it to be revived, as people would create new and updated technology.
Well, I support NFT and Metaverse trends because they come with many values for the crypto market and blockchain technology. Currently, the Metaverse is still in its early stages and is limited by hardware, smart glasses are not good enough to meet the user's experience needs, but I believe Apple and other companies will soon achieve great success in the technology race. NFT has been involved in GameFi and DeFi, they can really play an important role in the digital age, for example being used to store information about property ownership, diplomas, medical records...

NFT and Metaverse may just be temporary trends in the bullrun 2021 and many subsequent bullruns, but as the market develops and more possibilities of crypto and blockchain are explored, I believe they will continue to exist and contribute value to real world. I really look forward to the explosion of NFT and Metaverse in this bullrun!

It totally depends on the government of a country whether they want to allow crypto use in their country or not. If they are willing to allow its uses there will be no restriction even if it will be used as a payment method.

There will be a time soon when those countries will accept crypto too who have not understood its positive features yet. In some countries crypto uses are not for the welfare of the individuals therefore others countries are not allowing it to be used in their countries as important features are still hidden for them.
We have seen prime examples of the benefits of crypto on a national scale: El Salvador has adopted a BTC strategy, attracting investment capital, tourism inflows, and profiting from buying and self-mining BTC using geothermal energy. Other countries are also collecting taxes from crypto, generating additional revenue to develop their countries. Other govs can also refer to, learn from, and apply these experiences to themselves.

In the near future, if Trump becomes US president, I believe that crypto will become a mainstream market in the US and then globally. Anti-crypto governments will not be able to continue deceiving the public about the nature of crypto, they will face pressure for innovation from their citizens, and will be forced to change if they do not want to be replaced and lose power.

Maybe I forgot (or didn't notice before), but it seems to me that MixTum added a new mix mode called Precise Payment. As far as I can see, it is about the possibility to pay someone directly from the mixer - what do you think about this option?
I'm not sure if this is a new feature of MixTum, I thought I knew MixTum has supported it for a long time or maybe I've seen this feature on some Mixer services. This feature is usually used when users want to combine the purpose of transferring the exact amount of BTC and the anonymous feature through MixTum.

I have never used this feature on MixTum because I am usually more interested in the amount of BTC leaving my personal account rather than the exact amount to another my personal account. I think some users will find this MixTum service useful.

Solana has achieved great success because their development and progress are truly impressive. They even launch various projects which are quite significant every time.

After their success with their Saga smartphone and its success in selling out, there will be chapter 2 preorders which are still ongoing now. Even though this device will be ready perhaps in mid-2025, currently there has been quite a massive promotion and introduction from chapter 2 of this pre-order.
More details here:
https://two.solanamobile.com/
It's been a while since I've heard any updates about Solana's Chapter 2 phone, and I thought it had been forgotten amidst the wave of memecoins on Solana over the past few months. BONK has also lost its popularity, and with hundreds of thousands of memecoins being hastily created on Solana, perhaps investors no longer expect memecoin airdrops in the future for Solana phone owners.

Anyway, as a Solana enthusiast, I wish Chapter 2 success and hope it can have a positive impact on the growth of the Solana ecosystem in this bullrun, similar to what Sagaphone did during Solana's impressive recovery in 2023.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Joinmarket.net (discussion) experience?
« on: Today at 01:42:13 AM »
Does anyone have personal experience with Joinmarket or at least experience from a reliable source?

After the departure of Samurai and Wasabi wallets from the Coinjoin feature, Joinmarket seems to be the only remaining "free" option.

I would like to get feedback from someone who has used JM. How safe and effective is it in general?
What are the pros and cons here?
Is there a risk here and can developers be prosecuted by the feds?
Unfortunately, I have never used Joinmarket and therefore do not have any reviews of the features or reputation of the service it provides. I am only curious about the reasons why users continue to choose and use Joinmarket despite knowing that it is at risk of being charged and investigated in the US in the future.

Samurai and Wasabi have abandoned users in the US crypto market, I think Joinmarket may also be able to take similar actions. At present, I cannot access joinmarket.net and only receive the message "This account has been suspended". I am not sure what happened to this service 8)

Some people are constantly speculating that one day ETH will surpass BTC in some way, and they probably mean that it will be worth more than BTC. Personally, this is quite unrealistic considering that ETH has about six times more coins in circulation than BTC, and that, as far as I know, it still does not have a clearly defined max supply. The thing that pushed ETH even more to the side is the transition to POS, which in my opinion makes it less attractive than before.

Furthermore, ETH's absolute ATH was in 2021 and was $4891, and if we take into account that BTC then and today is approximately at the same value in relation to USD, then we see that it is a difference of almost $2000 in a negative sense.

The price of ETH is therefore a reflection of the market's confidence in it, and everything else is less important.
Technology-wise, Ethereum with smart contracts has many more features than Bitcoin. In fact, if I had to choose only one crypto to apply to the world, I would probably choose Ethereum. The ETH marketcap is also expected to surpass the BTC marketcap, but that is unlikely to happen even though ETH has an infinite total supply, as the market has chosen BTC as the crypto king. I can only hope that in the future, ETH will surpass BTC in terms of daily trading volume, just as USDT has surpassed BTC.

Despite how good and valuable ETH is in its vast ecosystem, ETH is still just an ALTS and only receives inflows after BTC has recovered and stabilized at a new higher price zone, and is also heavily influenced by BTC price fluctuations because BTC price is still considered an health indicator of the entire crypto market. I don't think this will change anytime soon in the next few cycles, perhaps only the widespread adoption of the Ethereum blockchain into the new economy can make the ETH price supported by business demand and less dependent on the BTC price.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Opt for the safest exchange?
« on: Today at 01:09:33 AM »
Simply put, if beginners are interested in looking at the list of top exchanges, Binance is number 1. So, if we still doubt Binance, what about other exchanges, right? In essence, it is true, there is no exchange that is 100% safe and there is no guarantee of 100$ that the exchange will continue to last forever. Various surprising things may still occur, but, nevertheless, it is indeed part of the risks. So, just choose, which risk to choose and to what extent we take that risk. Rather than choosing a small exchange with only a small market cap, it's better to go to Binance, right? Even if you can't access Binance, there are still other top exchanges you can try and comply with regulations in your country.
It seems that there are many Binance fans on the AltcoinsTalks forum, I am one of them ^^ Binance is always the first CEX that I recommend when someone wants to join the crypto market. Many other CEXs are also very good and also have proof of reserves, but they cannot provide the same good interface, utilities, features and services as Binance.

Of course, I also encourage everyone to use many other CEXs to diversify their risks and avoid losing all of their assets when a CEX has legal or hacker problems. In addition to Binance, investors can refer to and use Coinbase, GateIO, Bybit, Bitget...
