No matter the fun and  the entertainment gambling bring to the society, for me the negative impact of gambling in the society is more than the positive impact it brings to the society.

Ways to mitigate the spread of gambling in the society:
*Managing your time - preventing problem gambling, is to manage your time very well and enjoy sport without gambling by taking a break. According to Canadian lower risk gambling guidelines recommendation, reduce your gambling to know more than four days a month can significantly reduce your risk.

*Managing your finance - preventing problem gambling is to manage your finance effectively and safeguarde it. Order procedures to manage your money: set limit, keep record, don't borrowing, and stay as planned. That's my opinion.
The title doesn't make any sense at all.
Instead of "Ways to mitigate the spread of gambling in the society", why not just change it to "How to mitigate your losses in gambling?" I mean what's the meaning of "spread" in that?

Excluding the word "spread", I think that what you said was all true. The lower the time you are spending in gambling, the lower your chances of getting addicted are and vice-versa. On the other hand, managing finance or in this case, budgeting is always a good thing to learn. I mean knowing how to budget might lessen your losses in gambling because you will know how much money would be allocated to gambling. Setting the limit and sticking to your plan might be the best option if you're a gambler.

Overall, gambling gives more negative things than positive things to a person, so it would be a better option to just avoid doing it or if you really want to gamble then at least have a budget for it, and stick to that budget whatever happens.

Since the referral entails joining a community, I feel like the program will help him gain more insight into web3 while inviting his friends to join in too. What do you think, guys? Do you have a better suggestion? Please mention it in the comments section below!
Well, if these newbies know that they will earn something in return then they will surely join.
Most can join, but only few will survive. That's what I know about newbies especially if they got overwhelmed by how much information they need to know just to learn a particular project or even cryptocurrency in general.

For newbies, I think referral program could be a good start for them. It's a win-win for both the community and for the newbie themselves "ONLY" if both parties are being rewarded whether it would be free tokens, or free money or whatever. I don't like referral programs TBH, and I'm not doing it at all since I had a bad experience about it in the past, but maybe in the future, I might do it again.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What Altcoins Do you have?
« on: Today at 03:32:25 PM »
Now I'm waiting for alts season like everyone else and already bought BNB, XRP and TFS. Waiting for a good run to fill my bags. If unlucky, I can get my money back staking TFS they have a pretty high APY
Not familiar with the last coin that you said which is TFS, but if this is the coin that you're holding, then you might think twice because according to Coingecko:
Quote
According to GoPlus, the contract creator can make changes to the token contract such as disabling sells, changing fees, minting, transferring tokens etc. Exercise caution.
That alone is already a red flag for me. I know that developers can just do anything to their project, but to publicly saying that the creator can just make changes anytime he/she wants? I don't think that it's a good coin to hold at first place.

Anyway, XRP and BNB is a good coin to hold still despite both projects experiencing problems with regards to the authorities but nevertheless, both projects remained at the top still.

Gambling discussion / Re: [NBA] Unofficial Discussion Thread

It's good to see a new face to win the championship this year. Out of the four teams remaining, I think Tatum and the Celtics deserves it the most but I have no problem if Luka's Mavs gets it. Anyway, how do you plan on betting in game 1 of the EC Finals? Are you going to skip it to see how they will match up?

Betting for the Pacers +9.5 @2.01 as this game is like a getting to know each other game hehe so i think even if the Celtics win game 1 they will not cover the spread. But i would love to see the Pacers upset the Celtics in the East Finals as i have a bet on them @15.0, very juicy to think that the Celtics is a beatable team.

Looking at the odds now, +10.5 is still very attractive @1.84 so I'm taking this one. This is going to be a close one, usually the Celtics started slow in the first two games of the series. And so this first game, specially coming from a rest, might put them at a disadvantage. Plus the Pacer are high in momentum right now after that big win against the Knicks and it shows their character.

Congrats to us bro hehe, it was indeed a close and exciting game. The Pacers almost took that one if one for that costly error by the Pacers in the dying seconds which lead to a three point shot by Jalen Brown that tied the game and went into overtime. The game was also a high scoring one so congrats also to those who bet for the "over 230.5" before the started.
As expected for these 2 teams, the score is quite high as they're the top 2 teams in the regular season in terms of offensive ratings.

TBH, I'm shocked with how the Pacers played in Game 1. If only Brown's 3-point shot didn't go in, we might've seen an upset in Game 1. I didn't expect that the game will end up in a close one. Well, I guess I underestimated the Pacers so much knowing how good the Celtics are. Coming into Game 2, the Celtics have a curse where in their first 2 series, they lost in both Game 2's on their home. Will we see it in Game 2 as well?

Re: Can the Excitement in Metaverse and NFTs Be Revived Again?
I would want to see NFTs and Metaverse getting hyped again, but I wonder when it will happen. :D
I mean it happened in 2021 and after that, it never happened again.

New NFT games are being created still, and there are still developers that are creating their own NFT game. New projects that are related to NFTs and metaverse are still being created, but I don't think that it will be as popular as it was when NFT games got hyped in 2021. I believe though that NFTs will remain in the crypto space, and there will still be a community behind it. It's just that, it will not be as popular as where it is years ago.

I guess it's just good that there are some projects that are built in 2021 that are still developing until now. :)

Litecoin Forum / Re: What do you think
« on: Today at 04:57:10 AM »
~
Because LTC have the potential to hit the price range of one hundred and something Dollar. I know there will be alot of fomo already.

So what do you think?
100$ during the bull run would be possible knowing that its price currently is at the $87 price range.
However, what's bothering me is that Litecoin is slowly going down in terms of market cap. A few years ago, it was still on the top 10 and correct me but there was a time where it was on the top 5 as well. Now it's currently at the 22nd on Coingecko, and I'm afraid it might go down even lower in the future.

The coin is good, and it has been on the top for many years already. In fact, it is one of the oldest coins in existence. The problem with them is development and decreasing popularity. I don't know, but nobody's talking about Litecoin for a while. It's all meme coins, Solana, etc. but not Litecoin. I don't know what's happening with the project as I stopped following it already, but I believe that it will go even lower on the rankings until it will make an upgrade that can make the project popular again.

If Bitcoin maintains a stable close above $67,206, it could continue to rise towards the psychological level of $70,000. In a highly optimistic scenario, Bitcoin might even turn the $67,206 level into a support base, aiming for its all-time high of $73,777.
Based on a simple technical analysis, we can see that BTC has not yet escaped the downtrend channel even though we have the minimum conditions for accumulation after the rally from $40K to $74K. I think I will wait a little longer and it would be good if BTC can rise to the $7xK zone next week.

In the long term, I am still optimistic about BTC's potential to reach $150K-170K in this bullrun. So, whether BTC fluctuates up or down 20-30% in the near future, my only action will still be DCA BTC + top ALTS.

Thank you for this simple analysis on Bitcoin charts.
I really thought that we are nearing the start of the bull run already because of its pump a few days ago, but it seems like it's respecting the top on the chart you did hence, it touched the blue line, but didn't surpass to that price and went down as we speak.

Anyway, like you, I'm also optimistic towards Bitcoin, and my reason is the 4-year cycle. As a firm believer of it, I believe that it will happen again this time, and we might see the crypto market entering the bull run at least in the 2nd half of the year. As for me though, I only expect $150,000 as its peak price. It's more than double its ATH in 2021 which is at around $69,000. I don't care about short term movements. What I only care is my selling targets. :D If it reaches that price, I will sell it immediately.

Meme Coins / Re: Should I Hold My FUD?
« on: Today at 02:01:50 AM »
Hey guys, I need your opinion on this token I was keeping an eye on since last year. In December, I participated in FUD airdrop and although my hopes weren't particularly high at that point, I racked up some FUDs...

Fast forward to a few days ago, there were news of listing on CEXs and it got me thinking if I should hold what I got and add more, or hit the sell button?
Nah, just sell it and take your free money.
Can I ask how much in USD are the FUD tokens that you are holding right now OP?

Not familiar with the project and looked at Coingecko and there are many coins that has "FUD" ticker symbol in it. Can you please share the link of the FUD token that you're holding? Nevertheless, if you saw that it got listed on an exchange (especially a CEX), just sell it immediately, and buy better tokens. You got it for free, right? You have nothing to lose because you invested nothing (except for your time maybe).

Re: How often do you check on your Crytpo/Bitcoin?
I'm not a trader, but I look at my crypto portfolio at around 10x or even more on a daily basis.

Why? None. I just want to keep myself updated with what's happening with cryptocurrency and my portfolio as well. After all, I don't make impulsive decisions like selling my tokens when I see it went up 10% or more. I've been doing this for years already that I made it a hobby already. I guess there's nothing wrong with that, right? Looking at it when I wake up in the morning, when I'm eating breakfast, when I sleep at night. I don't call it an addiction though. It's just that, I just want to look at my portfolio and what's happening on crypto as much as I can. :D

That is another shot for Solana to improve their names but the sad part is their  network being shutting down for how many times now?
is this the market that we must understand safeties though i also trusted SOL for some time but I am always looking for safe outcome.

Let's be honest for atleast this time and let Solana knows the truth, they don't need this phone that was set to launched. The previous that was sold was expensive but upon watching the reviews and other platforms, it was evidence that the phone is not worth it, the phone camera is very poor, the processor is wack and other parts of the phone and now they want to launch another one again but this time worth $1000 and I ask myself, how much is iPhone 13 pro selling right now? This phone is not worth the hype.

Instead of them wasting another resources, they should better use it on their network that is always going off for some minutes. It's a shame that fastest blockchain has gone off more than Ethereum that everyone is trying to shame for it's low transaction speed and high fees.
They lowkey scammed those who bought their phones. :D
We know that it wasn't worth it compare to how much the asking price is. They created that phone just to cash grab to their supporters who believe that integrating a crypto wallet on their phone is a good idea.

I just hope that nobody will buy, or at least only few will buy their 2nd phone knowing that their 1st phone that they released was a total bust. Even I'm a supporter of Solana, and currently holding some SOL, I will not use it or any of my money to buy their phone. I'm fine with my phone and I don't see any reason why I need to buy a 2nd phone at all. Just a waste of money TBH.

8858% then 294% and then 540%. I don't know, but I'm thinking there's a pattern in it. Higher, then lower, and then higher, and then lower. I don't know maybe I'm just dizzy that's why I saw the pattern, but tl;dr is that my prediction is the price of Bitcoin will go as high as 2x its current price. Something like a 100% or more increase.

Bitcoin's price performance ever since after the halving event is always great. Just by looking at the history, you will know that the price of Bitcoin tends to go up months after the Bitcoin halving event, and I believe that it will happen again this time now that the halving event is over. What we need to do now is to just be patient and continue accumulating. Also, set some selling targets as well. Selling targets where you will be contented when it sells it at that price. Of course, be realistic with your selling targets.

I mean we are remembering the day when someone bought a pizza with 10,000 BTC, if we remember events like this, it could inspire the trust in BTC and may might want to benefit from it believing that it could rise up in future, I mean, nobody will like to be like the guy.
Nobody wants to be that guy, but the guy himself isn't regretting for his decision either.

I also bought my own personal computer in 2018 that caused me around 0.04 BTC at that time. I don't know what's the price of 0.04 BTC in 2018, but for sure it's lower than where it is today. Did I regret using my Bitcoin to buy a personal computer? Hell, no because it's my decision, and I don't have spare money to use to buy my computer aside from the BTC that I'm holding.

Crypto events will just happen. Some might have significant impact towards the price of Bitcoin, but most will have not. The recent event which is the Bitcoin halving event is the one that always have a significant impact towards the price of Bitcoin. Smaller events like an influencer buying Bitcoin or whatever will have little to no impact towards the price of Bitcoin.

My thought after decoupling was that ETH will fly solo impacted by it's utility and the general market sentiment largely influence by BTC.
The was expected to be a game changer but i think we seeing the opposite or perhaps there some info i am mising?
Decoupling? Ethereum decoupled with Bitcoin in terms of price movement? You're clueless with what you're saying OP I guess.
I don't know, but even Bitcoin isn't decoupled with the S&P500 so why you said that Ethereum is decoupled with Bitcoin already? Any proofs?

Maybe you said it because you saw Ethereum going up double digit percentage while as Bitcoin didn't went up as high as that isn't it? If that's the case then it wasn't decoupling, but there really are times where Ethereum goes up in percentage than Bitcoin because it's more volatile since it has a lower market cap. In the long run, both Bitcoin and Ethereum will move at the same direction. Going up, or going down.
