Karma power is now in the hands of senior members,
they will decide if you are being good or naughty,

to avoid getting other negative karma
try :
- Being helpful
- Posting posts with enough content not only links
- Do not post referral links except in the referral section / unless it's in your local language section

thanks. this rule is very clear to get positive karma. I hope this will be a warning if I break the rules that have been set.

Still there has something to be done with positive karma. We have to encourage members to award others with positive karma because there is not much + karma issued. People just are such a creatures that they give you negative if you do something wrong but they don't reward you for opposite. I see that so many times. I help somebody he say thanks to me but not award me with positive karma. I think numbers speak louder as words.

Ya EmoneyABC is right. I feel that he is a good contributor to the forum. He always provides with good insights to this forum and its improvement. I have read several of his answers and would feel like, Why not give this answer a positive karma? But my rank restricts me to do so. So, yes there should be something done about giving positive karma.
Edit: The thing that hurts me a bit is, EmoneyABC has got only 4 positive karma which is same as mine. If you see what I have contributed to the forum, it would far less than him. This doesn't mean that I want my Karma points reduced ;D

Thanks for the friendly reminder on how to avoid negative karma. This will help a lot of people so that they will know how to properly post or reply and will avoid getting a negative karma.

Thank you Airdrophunter8 for your very kind words. I see you as a very good contributor and an asset to this forum. I think you should have even more positive karma. I just don't think about my karma points and keep doing my best. Just enjoy my time on the forum. I think one day when karma will be measured with hundreds, members will award each other more easily and this becomes a normal reaction to give +1 for quality and valuable content or help. As for now we have not to many members, especially with higher ranks and they are not active frequently. That is why this takes so long to get few positive karma points even when you deserve it with no doubt.

Higher rank equals more tokens (I think) together wit points. I don't think there is any other benefit besides to be established high rank member which opens many doors if you are interested in this forum and crypto.
Maybe this is a good suggestion to add an special ability to each rank and let members brainstorm proposals for this abilities.

this is great information to us how to avoid negative karma and it help also especially for me to spend more time on searching about altcointalk and how to help this new section of cryptocurrency.

If we just post heartilly and sincerity with a constructable, helpful and useful content that gives good direction and ideas to others i think that would be enough to keep us away from negative karma. Honesty and respect others are so welcome in this community.

As far as I understand, you get points per post, that is the same regardless of your rank. You're right I didn't explain that well, I meant that if you are higher rank it's based on your post count, therefore by default you would receive more ALTS tokens (as ALTS are based on points).
In summary: I was wrong when I said "The higher ranks are more points that give more ALTS tokens".

Refrain from being haughty instead, post helpful information as much as you do. Negative Karma will affect the amount of tokens you earned.

In addition to getting negative karma, do not forget that it is still possible to get positive karma and then the rewards for this will be higher. I think the meaning is clear to all but let me remind you what you need to write perfect posts or discussion topics of interest to all. If your publication deserves attention and it is original and interesting then you will be given a positive karma!

To avoid negative karma follow and apply the suggestion, and thank you admin for this helpfull info for us. For additional i think i do more reseach to make a quality post and be freindly and respect others.
