Hold ETH or invest in ERC-20 tokens?

As we have seen, ETH price has hovered around the $200 threshold since mid-2019. The COVID-19 pandemic or BTC halving does not impact too much on ETH price. I am wondering between keeping ETH in my wallet or using ETH to participate in some potential ICO/ERC-20 tokens.
ETH 2.0 is coming. Will projects on the Ethereum platform have a lot of changes after this major update? Are they technically outdated? What should I do: hold, invest now or continue waiting for the arrival of ETH 2.0?

They are not technically outdate and they will follow what ethereum does. It will not give any changes to the projects that used ethereum platform as tokenization consider the update was on the mechanism of consensus that being migrated from POW to the POS.

I have invested in several altcoins (ERC20) and got a nice profit from there. You should at least spend a small percentage from your amount to invest in the trusted ERC20 project.

There was no ETA when ethereum 2.0 will come for sure and isn't it better to generate the profit from the market at the same time?

Holding ETH will be aways better than holding tokens since all tokens are powered by the eth blockchain, it means that no one of then will surpass the owner of the blockchain.

Yes I think It is true . Pandemic covid 19 dont affect too much for ethereum price. I see ethereum is going strong now and recover. I jope we will see the bull market soon.

Hold Ethereum in my opinion has better potential than investing in ERC20 tokens, Ethereum is clear and sure is an altcoin that has a high ranking and great trust from the community, so it can be ascertained that Ethereum will not die.  But the new ERC20 project is still not certain there is even a possibility that tokens will die, so we can lose our money.  Holding Ethereum in my opinion is more feasible.

I agree with you, I think that after this pandemic, many projects will fail and disappear, but ETH will still exist because of the core values ​​that it brings to the entire crypto community.

I think holding ETH is the better option since like you said, ETH 2.0 is being hyped. It's not to mention the fact that most of ERC-20 tokens are worhtless. It's so so difficult to find a decent project nowadays. However, if you have a thick budget, you can try with ERC-20 tokens. A couple of ETHs on some less-known tokens may bring you 5x or even 10x profit, or otherwise, you just lose "a couple of ETHs".

I prefer to hold some of the ETH and the rest I use to buy tokens or participate to buy ICO tokens that I think has the potential. Ethereum is very good this year and will increase.

As I said, sometimes I also think about this, because the nature of Ethereum is the blockchain platform for other projects, investing in other potential projects is also a way to support and develop the crypto community. .

Top exchange IEOs are profitable than ethereum holding hereby we can earn good profits in short term but right now I don't believe erc20 ICOs I think this not good time to invest in Icos instead of ethereum holding is best option .

Ethereum potential is very large, if Bitcoin is bullish then it can be sure Ethereum will follow, HODL Some Ethereum is much better than investing in erc20 tokens at a time like this.

Tokens are just a part of all the eth ecosystem, and the value is not big as etherrum if want to hold one of those so go for ethereum is the best choice at all.
