Is it possible for ripple to replace ETH in the coinmarketcap so what do you have to say because am not actually conversant with ripple I want to know how possible that could be despite the instability of cryptocurrency market or are in the opinion that etherum may still maintain his current position or ripple replacing it.

The were a couple of time in the past Ripple surpassed ETH in market cap rankings but then immediately EHT took its position back. As altcoins are becoming unpredictable, it's easier for Ripple to take ETH's place in CMC. Also, ETH no more has influence and power on ICOs, I think that XRP can surpass ETH in a few waves of pump.

I am not sure if XRP can overtake ETH for second place in CMC again in the near future. I don't see something special in XRP progress currently. XRP should need something special if it wants to overtake ETH. XRP platform must attract ETH holders to buy XRP if it wants to overtake it. :D

Every thing is possible in cryptomarket although this too difficult to predict because currently Ethereum Blockchain technology is upgraded so this is more secure and power than old ethereum Blockchain technology but ripple is dominating the bank place so in future ripple likely to take second position .

If I totaled my car today, Id definitely try to buy another FR-S or BR-Z for sure. But, in a few years when Im ready to upgrade, who knows? I dont really know what my needs/wants or budget lol will be at that time so I cant really say if Ill want another 86.

Of course there is such a probability, but I don’t think that this will happen, because ethereum technologies are much more in demand and, as we see, more investors are interested in ethereum, so I don’t think that this will happen.

I also believe that in the future XRP will be overtaking at CMC even as it is very obvious that the top 2nd position to the last at CMC is not a permanent position. this is trading in the crypto market. anything can happen. competition and competition for top positions must occur. because this is a sign that there is life in crypto trading.

I doubt it will happen in the near future because there are many factors that make ETH be stronger. However, it is not impossible if the Ripple platform has a significant improvement or has something new to attract more investors. There are always possibilities as long as the team of the Ripple platform wants to see a better improvement on XRP.

Not again, I think ETH will always maintain its position on CMC. Yes, ETH was ever replaced by Ripple (XRP), but it was in 2018, in 2019 XRP never reached XRP position. Then in 2020, I am pretty sure that ETH will make a big gap to stay away from XRP. :D

You are still thinking to replace Etherium and place Ripple in Coinmarketcap, but it is easily possible if Etherium works hard and go with as people suggestion, but they wont.
I think Ripple will move in a different way as they may try to improve their price.

Yes, I think ripple will replace ethereum.. But I think It will take several years again, because I see ethereum is more popular, ethereum is smart contract platform. I predict at the next year, ripple will replace ethereum. I believe it will happen. Ripple is more stable and bank coin. Lets see.

It only possible when ETH team pass their time in relax ;D ;D Day before ago we saw that when market was very slow and down that time people was in frustration in ETH and BTC. At that time XRP came in 2nd position in CMC but it was only for some days and ETH team was such a strong that they again came in previous position.
Everybody want to income from market. so the more ETH last in 2nd position people will relai about it so that team must work behind it so that it is very tuff that XRP will go to repalce of ETH.

In fact, Ripple also defeated Ethereum in CoinMarketCap ranking, but only for a few months.
I still remember when Ethereum was at 300 USD, and Ripple was probably around 0.02 USD.
But what impressed me was the recovery of Ethereum back to number 2 CMC and it only took about 2-3 months. Amazing !!

Ripple cannot replace ethereum. These are completely different coins in terms of their functional qualities and purpose. They sometimes compete with each other in terms of capitalization, but no more. They may well complement each other in the cryptocurrency market, and not compete with each other.

It used to be yes, but now it's hard to take second place from Ethereum. Even the Ethereum and Ripple volumes are quite far adrift, which is why XRP has so far not been able to surpass Ethereum in the second position of Coinmarketcap.

For now I think Ripple will still feel a long way to defeat Ethereum because Ethereum is still too far away with more than 500% Ripple funds.

I think ripple ever overtake ethereum in last year. Ripple will replace ethereum at the next year, because I see ripple is more stable and very potential coin. Ripple supported by big bank and good for short term investment and trading. Ripple give me alot benefits.

It will be difficult for Ripple to replace Ethereum nowadays. Their market caps have a big gap, Ripple ($8,622,921,572), while Ethereum ($21,534,173,808). Ethereum has improved significantly, and it really make Ripple quite far behind. It is not the previous year, everything has changed. ;D

I see many people have used ripple for daily trading and they have gotten profit from it.

You can use ripple for day trading and hold for short term, maybe about two months.

xrp has the best chance to do that only if they are willing to burn some of there coin supply. I think this I the very reason that holds them behind Eth.

I agree, ADA is gonna kill it. CH built Ethereum and hes improving on it with Cardano. Charles has mentioned IOHK is in talks to contract with ETC in the near future, so I pick up some ETC with my chump change after trading on RHood. The percentage gains possible with ADA is huge. They've hovering around 8,9 cents. Im in at 4 and holding. Been buying XRP and ADA for over a year and holding everything for 3 urs minimum.
Used to have 3 BTC but used them online after they doubled. Now I see the resent bitcoin and ETH gains and I really disappointed in myself for not continuing to save the btc and ETH was just coming out so would of moved onto them. Good video, learned my lesson save ETH and some btc and DON'T SPEND THEM!!!

Ripple has potential to do it. I believe ripple can overtake ethereum again at this year. You can see the ripple progress on CMC. I think ripple do the best at this year and come back to the third position. I still prefer this coin than other for daily trading.

Ripple cannot replace Eth potential in the market place where ERC 20 platform massively adopt this century. Although in terms of ranking it is possible but not in development.

Mate I'm 50/50 with you on this one......But some projects now have utility / stake / passive income / work in progress.....I will sell all the coins that don't do anything, like XRP, but Ill never sell ETH AND Chainlink or Sharering etc etc

Well, they made me laugh. Now the capitalization level of ethereum is $ 43.15 billion, while ripple is only $ 12.64 billion. Ethereum is priced at $ 384 and ripple at $ 0.28. Where is ripple going to overtake ethereum and when?

I don't think so because Eth has own strong strategy for which they hold their market strongly and convince investor to invest in Eth more .Ripple also a good coin but it possible for ripple to replace Eth if they able to build strong network and investor against Eth. But I think it not so easy.

For now, I think It is difficult for ripple overtake ethereum. Ethereum is doing well in market now. Ethereum has shown good performance, and I believe it will continue until the end of this year. So I still believe Ethereum will maintain its position on number 2.

The price of xrp is keep going down. I dont want to create fud but it seems xrp having trouble on their marketing approach. On the bright side, they will be supported a new blockchain flare for snapshot to all xrp holders. So it seems there is a chance to accumulate xrp for free tokens. Of course this will surely boost it price in my opinion.

I agree Ripple is a bank coin but it will not replace Ethereum even in CoinMarketCap. Ripple is limited in banks but Ethereum is welcome from different places after Bitcoin. It will become more popular when Eth 2.0 will be launch.

It already passed, once. but ethereum bounce back again. Ethereum is the bigger community and more popular than ripple. Ripple is struggling at this year,.USDT has overtook ripple.for.number three. But I still believe Ripple will recover again.

I'm not really sure about the future of Ripple, so far they claim to have been adopted by many banks but I don't think that alone will allow Ripple to beat Ethereum's market cap..

For now, I think It is really difficult mate. Ripple is going down to number four in CMC, USDT has overtook ripple for number three. Ethereum is still superior and bigger community. Ethereum has shown good progress at the market this year, ripple is struggling.

Yes and It already happens sometimes in 2018-2019 crypto year XRP become the number 2 top spot according to CMC and Ethereum becomes number 3, top spot, But today I don't think it's gonna happen again. Ethereum was one of the top crypto performers this year 2020.

In my opinion it is impossible for ripple to replace ethereum even there were times that ripple went to top 2. The is that ethereum is more useful than ripple and the supply is too much. This is one of the factor why ethereum always holds the 2 rank in coinmarketcap.

Today XRP has seventh largest market capitalisation in the cryptomarket but ethereum is still second largest cryptocurrency in the cryptomarket everyday ethereum based many new projects are coming in the crypto world thus lot of users following the ethereum technology definitely XRP will not replace the ethereum.
I agree that Ripple has no chance of ever overtaking ethereum in terms of capitalization. Now their positions in this regard are not comparable at all. Today, the capitalization of ethereum is 552 billion dollars, and ripple is slightly more than 50 billion. If the upgrade of the ethereum network continues to be successful as well, the gap in the capitalization of these coins will continue.

It was been a long time that someone speculating this that Ripple will replace ETH in coinmarketcap but until now nothings happen ethereum is still in the second place although ripple was in the second place before but in just a short time.. so I think there's no hope for Ripple to replace ETH
again but the binance coin there is a chance.

I think ripple will not be able to beat the volume of ethereum price movements on coinmarketcap because XRP trading volume is still below ethereum and there is no good news from XRP that can make investors enter and buy XRP, because all coins can have price movements and trading volume depends from development.

I think it is too difficult few years ago ripple moved to second place in the CMC but now everything has changed today ripple is seventh largest crypto currency currently ripple facing big problem against sec constantly ripple is facing legal issues so the price of ripple is too low i hope in the future ripple will pump again .

XRP used to be a major force in the crypto market, but now ETH is stronger and many other blockchains take the top spots in terms of capitalization. I just hope XRP hits a new ATH soon and stays at #10 in 2022.

Is it possible for ripple to replace ETH in the coinmarketcap so what do you have to say because am not actually conversant with ripple I want to know how possible that could be despite the instability of cryptocurrency market or are in the opinion that etherum may still maintain his current position or ripple replacing it.
For now I think this will be very difficult, because now we know that Ethereum and Ripple are quite far apart. However, this is different from a few years ago, where Ethereum and Ripple often switched positions two and three on Coinmarketcap. But this is a Cryptocurrency, where the price changes are very difficult to predict. It could also happen in the future that Ripple replaces Ethereum on Coinmarketcap.

Yes, that's right, currently the distance between Ripple and Ethereum is very far.

i don't think in the near future ripple will replace ethereum because ripple is currently in trouble with sec. if this problem persists for a long time, it is likely that the ripple will continue to fall because investor interest will decrease

I don’t think that Ripple will have big problems after the completion of the SEC lawsuit, but anyway, this coin has no more chances to surpass ethereum in terms of capitalization. Ripple is currently in sixth position with a capitalization of $18.8 billion versus $231 billion for ethereum. Given that ethereum should successfully complete its two-year renewal next month, its capabilities will increase many times over and the distance between these coins will only increase.

There is a big difference between the ETH and the Ripple and thats the main reason that it will not replace the ETH becasue in the crypto market ETH coin is the 2nd big coin after the BTC and this is the true and so may peoples will invest their money in ETH then the XRP if the investment is high then the ETH will come on 2nd in the market.

Ripple has a network of big banks globally and their solution has become popular, however XRP is in the middle of SEC lawsuit and it missed the bullrun 2021. I don't dare believe it will come back. strongly in the 2025 cycle and surpassing ETH. I would still choose BTC & ETH.
