What is XSL Labs ?

Your identity data is under constant threat. Stored on centralized databases, they are vulnerable to hackers and private companies who exploit them without your knowledge.

By using an encrypted decentralized identifier, you have the power to say "no" to data theft.

Thanks to it, you will be able to secure your identity on the web and on apps.

XSL Labs offers you this solution thanks to its decentralized identifier, the SDI, and offers grants to the developers of tomorrow who wish to develop a decentralized app on their ecosystem.

Discover the Internet of Trust, visit xsl-labs.org (http://xsl-labs.org).

SDI

Centralizing your digital identity in insecure databases makes your personal data increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks.

In order to prevent this issue, XSL Labs will offer you a fully decentralized Secure Digital Identifier, called SDI.

With blockchain technology, your personal data will be encrypted and distributed in numerous servers in order to make it impossible for a third party to crack your data.

With the SDI, you will be able to control access to your personal data, view your interactions’ history and enjoy more safely the many services that the Internet of tomorrow will offer.

I am following this project and seems to be really good but i think it was much better if ico dates were well defined, as it will give investors and supporters clear idea when exactly to invest.

What is the purpose to create this project? I didn't see long-term partnership with high profile community.

Many data management projects have sprung up, not just in the cryptocurrency world but mainstream. They fail to address the common theme in poor mass adoption, and that is usability and adaptation. Any data management project that handles that would be a winner

Decentralization of personal data is something that interests me. But I've seen quite a number of projects with the same concept but some fizzled out after a while and the tokens turned worthless, especially when data buyers do not patronize the project for user data.
So what will XSL Labs do differently to ensure that its token continues to be valuable and that user incentives given to data providers are sustainable?

I saw and read this project at Bitcointalk forum and as far as I know, their campaign will be running until 6 months if I am not mistaken. Where for me I think that is too long for the period of the campaign. Where the bounty hunters together with the investors will have to wait for less than a year, and for me our time is very important and We need finances to sustain our needs as well.

The personal data management sphere in blockchain has not been a relatively crowded niche like Decentralized Finance. Many projects like PData etc have not flourished under it, and I hope XSL Labs have got what it takes to survive here

The ICO should last less than 6 months so it will end early next year

What is the purpose to create this project? I didn't see long-term partnership with high profile community.

Hello,

Can you clarify your question ?

It will last less then 6 months,  that was the maximum time, the CEO wants a quick ICO, not a long lasting one

In order to have access to a verifiable credential (VC), a service provider will always have to pay an amount in SYL (through a payment gateway) that will depend (the amount)) on the importance of the desired information.

Credential and Verifiable Credential issuers will also be rewarded in SYL (SYL from the payment gateway explained before) if they are not already paid in advance (example KYC providers paid in FIAT for this type of services).

Also the token will be locked in Smart Contracts (DID). Each DID will lock a minimum amount of SYL and these will be released only if this DID is officially destroyed by its user.

Like the questions on bitcointalk that you haven't answered until now, how are we going to discuss with the team? because there is no chat on telegram and also you don't want to share the discord link with everyone. why all must be closed? supposed a great project like this should be more transparent

XSL labs is getting higher.  Lets see how it stacks up against established personal data management and security giants like PData. But XSL labs has some interesting options that may come in handy
