U.S. Representative Tom Emmer expects former U.S. President Donald Trump to become “a lot more” friendly toward cryptocurrency if he returns to the White House. Trump has launched three non-fungible token (NFT) collections since leaving office. Meanwhile, some analysts predict that bitcoin’s price could reach record highs if Trump wins the presidential election this year. If Trump can be helpful for the crypto-community then why not choose him over others. I believe Trump has never taken any action against crypto-currencies in his tenor and if he gets elected as president of US once again then he might take some good steps for crypto-community.

Now that he has earned some income from his NFT collection why won't he support the crypto-currencies that can be helpful as assets and also as payment systems. I believe if Trump starts favoring Bitcoin and crypto-currencies then he might get more voters on his side once again.

We don’t know for sure how Trump will feel about cryptocurrency if he is re-elected President of the United States, but he will certainly bring some chaos in the political and economic aspects to this world. His statements that if he is elected, he will withdraw the United States from the NATO bloc and will not provide any assistance to Europe in the event of an attack by Russia, has already caused a stormy reaction among state leaders. In this case, the Kremlin will definitely take advantage of the actual invitation to attack the Baltic countries and the war will flare up with renewed vigor. His other statements are also quite negative, in particular that Ukraine should cede its territories to Russia. This is effectively a call for other authoritarian states to attack weaker neighbors.
Therefore, regardless of Trump’s attitude towards cryptocurrency, I hope that he will not become President of the United States again.

I also don't support his candidacy and for him running in a second term his first term was chaos if he had been a good president he would have won the presidency the second time he ran, but he was defeated by a weak candidate in Joe Biden, his opinion about Cryptocurrency is good but his policy and his character and how he behave while in office is not good for the Americans and for the whole world as well, the Cryptocurrency industry is still good with or without his support.

I don't usually trust the words of politicians and everyone can forgive me if i have such an opinion of them. Crypto in U.S. is becoming more popular, spot etf's have just been approved and institutional investors are now very interested in BTC. Donald Trump could be saying this as a means to campaign because he knows that there are so many voters who are crypto enthusiasts. I may be wrong, but that is how i feel about this.

Trump is actually not an enemy of Bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency industry though we have to understand that the guy had some concerns but those can be ironed out if industry leaders will communicate with him or his representative those matters. I maybe on the minority here but I can feel that he would be back in the White House in 2025 most especially if it is Joe Biden to be on the other side. Finally, we can get rid of Gary Gensler who made havoc on the industry instead of working on it to weed out frauds and scams.

If I understood it correctly, their argument is not directly related to whether Trump wins an election or not, but because halving is coming and a narrative like a crypto-friendly president will push the price even higher. If both presidents show a friendly attitude toward crypto, then it doesn't matter who will win. Not to mention Trump's latest public tweet about crypto is quite negative, although I'm sure he can easily say the opposite if it gives him the edge over other candidates.

I believe cryptocurrency enthusiasts should ignore this narrative. Halving is coming and that is objectively free from bias and narrative like this. Just take a look at how ETF turns out in the short term.

Personally i don't believe him, mainly because he's being very vague. What exactly crypto friendly means? Respecting privacy of those who own cryptocurrency? Stop pressuring miner or node to perform censorship[1]? Not suing people who only write cryptocurrency software or protocol[2]?

If Bitcoin were affected by the foreign policy of the United States, we would have seen a difference, as Bitcoin existed and grew during the Trump period and continued to grow during the Biden period, so the first man in the United States will not change much, as the United States is a state of institutions.

Politics will intersect with Bitcoin when its market capacity is comparable to gold. Then we will see that politicians will take it seriously in their election campaigns.

I don't know the concerns he had and i am just hearing about this for the first time, though if i am to predict, i think it has to do with regulatory and risk concerns relating to crypto investments.

Who are those you refer to as 'industry leaders', i can speak of BTC and i am sure it has no leader, no official website and we don't even know the identity of the person who created it, it is fully decentralized and i don't think any BTC developer would represent the network in such 'meeting'. There is no need for any ironing out, it is either they do not like the industry and reject it or they accept it one way or another

Politicians do that sort of thing. They keep their statement open for interpretation.

In the case of Trump, I don't think he can openly support cryptocurrencies once he sit in office unless it's already integrated into their financial system. He will let the lawmakers pass a bill and only then he can officially support.
