According to the latest news, the next 2 updates turns Shiba Inu into privacy coin:

  • The non-custodial privacy dApp Bermuda announced support for Shiba Inu (SHIB) allowing its users to conduct anonymous transactions.
  • The Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to expand as the community eagerly awaits the launch of the Layer-2 Shibarium protocol.

Is it on the whole possible to turn a regular coin into privacy one? And does that mean that its rate will now start growing?

As the FIFA World Cup is currently underway in Qatar, cyber-security researchers on Monday warned that threat actors are selling fake Hayya cards, which is essentially a permit document, to fans who are willing to pay any amount to get one.

To attend the FIFA World Cup, one needs to have a Hayya card which must be presented along with the original ticket in order to enter the stadium.
Sellers ask for $50-150 and payment is only accepted in Bitcoin.

"Given that Crypto.com is an official FIFA sponsor and Binance has partnered with Christiano Ronaldo to promote soccer-themed non-fungible tokens (NFTs), threat actors are piggy-backing on this hype to sell fake World Cup Coin' and 'World Cup Token' by promoting them as limited edition cryptocurrency" the researchers said.

I was already wondering why there's no scam around the World Cup. Have you heard of other scam coins to avoid them?

Crypto Exchanges / Huobi Delisted Privacy Coins
« on: September 20, 2022, 01:35:03 PM »
Huobi, once one of the largest Chinese cryptocurrency exchanges, will delist a number of privacy-focused tokens including Zcash and Monero amid rising regulatory concern worldwide.

“Huobi Global strictly complies with the compliance policies of every country and always endeavors to safeguard our users’ assets,” the firm said in a statement dated Sept. 11. The tokens that were delisted on Sept 19 include Zcash, Monero, Dash, Decred, Firo, and Verge.

Unlike Bitcoin or Ether, privacy tokens such as Monero are designed to avoid tracking. Privacy is a key objective of many crypto proponents, however, there have been increased regulatory concerns in the digital-asset privacy sector.

Does this mean that decentralized exchanges will become more popular? Or they can be also forced to delist coins? And what will happen to the privacy coins market and who's next?

Privacy Coins Forum / eToro to delist Cardano by 2022 for US users
« on: November 30, 2021, 01:15:18 PM »
In a statement released to customers on Tuesday, Israeli cryptocurrency exchange eToro announced it would delist Cardano (ADA) and Tron (TRX) for United States customers by the end of the year.

After Dec. 31, U.S. users will no longer be able to open new positions in the tokens nor stake ADA and TRX. In addition, wallets will be effectively in withdraw-only mode until the first quarter of 2022, when selling will also become limited. In making the decision, eToro cited regulatory concerns surrounding both assets.

The move came as a surprise to some as ADA has not been traditionally associated with regulatory troubles. In context, tokens like Ripple (XRP), whose creators are currently engaged in an ongoing lawsuit with the Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, as well as Monero, which is a privacy coin that some fear is easily abused for illicit purposes, are facing the brunt of regulatory scrutiny in the cryptocurrency industry.

In such situation, privacy coin like Crypton can be a good way out. It has own no KYC decentralized exchange and there are no restrictions or prohibitions on use by citizens of the United States or other countries. And this will be one of a few possibilities to continue using privacy coins. As I've heard some rumors that other exchange pairs are planned to be added to their exchange.

A few weeks ago, hard drives began to fall in price, and some models are already 2 times lower than the May values. Everything is clear here: over the past month, the price of Chia has fallen by 3 times.

It becomes obvious why there is no hype for hard drives. Even if you imagine that in 2 months you will receive your 2 coins (2 Chia per block), then this will give you only $ 530. While we spent nearly $ 6,000 on 5 drives. With ever-increasing complexity, with a random chance and a falling cryptocurrency in price, it is impossible to return the investment.

So let's think about what other coins we can mine and earn.

1. Dogecoin. New blocks are discovered approximately once every minute on the Dogecoin network. For comparison, Bitcoin blocks are discovered approximately once every 10 minutes.
2. Monero. A Monero block is mined every 2 minutes, and we know that the current reward for mining transaction block is 4.99 XMR. So, by doing the simple math, we know that 1 XMR is mined every 24 seconds.
3. Crypton. You will receive Cryptons every 15 minutes (block generation time). You will also get Proof of Stake rewards on your Minimal Monthly Balance.

On the whole, such coins are worth mining as they're more eco-friendly than Bitcoin is, it requires less time for mining and fewer investments for mining.

Which eco-coin do you prefer more? Or green coins are just kind of hype now?

Crypto currency Mining / Is it possible to make crypto sustainable?
« on: June 29, 2021, 12:41:08 PM »
Bitcoin is not sustainable. Despite claims that the cryptocurrency utilizes renewable energy, researchers have found that Bitcoin continues to primarily use fossil fuel sources to power mining efforts — so much so that Bitcoin has a carbon footprint roughly equal to the entire country of Morocco. So while investing in the cryptocurrency may be good for your bottom line, depending on how favorably Elon Musk is tweeting about it on any given day, it is always terrible for the environment.

But not all cryptocurrency is created equal. While much has been made about the environmental impact of Bitcoin and other heavy energy consumers like NFTs, there are methods to make cryptocurrency and other digital assets more sustainable. Some, like Ethereum, have plans to shift toward a more environmentally-friendly model in the future, while others have put considerations of environmental impact and energy consumption front and center from the start. And some like Crypton already use green mining. All you need is a PC and an internet connection. That's really great to mine without any investments.

If you're looking to invest in cryptocurrency, the environmental impact should factor into your decision. So how do you identify which cryptocurrencies are actually sustainable?

Dogecoin, which started as a meme currency but received a lot of support from the billionaire tycoon in the past few months also gained in value. But this positive trend in the cryptocurrency market is no guarantee that it will see the bull run, which started at the beginning of this year, again so soon. At most, the value addition to the price of Bitcoin and other digital currencies over the past two days most likely seems temporary.

What are your thoughts about these 2 coins' future and is it possible that Musk will decide to the hype on something else also? Green coins are getting more popular. Why doesn't he mention any of them? Which one do you think needs such a kick?

Crypto currency Mining / Is Chia coin "green"?
« on: May 18, 2021, 02:20:33 PM »
Newly launched “green cryptocurrency,” Chia Network Coin (XCH) has continued to gain prominence in the digital currency ecosystem, for many reasons, including its price performance. Amid the ongoing crypto market dip, the XCH has maintained a relatively stable price and is currently exchanging hands at $1,300 (-13%) and its trading volume surged upward by 3.95% in the past 24 hours according to CoinMarketCap.

To mine Chia coin, you will need hardware with large storage as the protocol works based on a new consensus of Proof of Space and Time. The bigger space you have, the more the XCH you are likely to mine. With a recent report revealing the reduction in the shelf life of regular storage hardware used in mining the XCH coins, many investors are exploring alternatives to acquire the digital currency. One of the ways being explored is Chia Mining Pools.

But according to other news, such mining destroys SSD and PCs in several months. So is such a "green" mining worth it? Or there are better alternatives?

Hi everyone!

I love to look for the new projects, and this time i found a Low risk project among 10 more or less new ones . They have the Ann thread on altcoinstalks --> https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=177590.0

Im believe in a "Low Risk"  as they provided the whole information clearly with the videos, but they have NO ICO .

What do you think? Is it really worth trying, especially as the coin doesn't require investments and can be simply mined?
