Forum related / Should reputation follow you here?

Ok so I was reading the user using AI on BTT thread and seen a comment that got me thinking. Comment is below.

This forum is using a pretty cool feature and allowing users to teleport their accounts from the other forum to here. Most forums you sign up, create your account, and start making your persona from the actions you do. You can use any username that isn't taken, you can even use a reputable name from another place you are or have been a part of. Some would do this trying to fool people and scam, but that's not the point of this thread.

Being as users teleport their accounts, we know that they are the same person from the other forum. Why shouldn't their reputation follow them? If they wanted a fresh start, why wouldn't they just make a new account, new username, and leave that name in the past?

I see people (mainly staff) saying things like giving them a fresh start or whatever and if they start acting up we will give them badges, but a leopard can't change his spots IMO. Since we are not just making random names upon signing up and we are directly importing our persona from the other forum, our reputation should IMO follow us. If someone wants a clean fresh start, then teleporting should not be the route they take.

I get it, they don't want to start over, but that's the choice they make when making an account here. I was a scammer or cheater on the other forum, do I make a new name new persona for myself or keep the same name and hope nobody pays attention???

I do believe that some cases are up for debate such as the case I was reading when this topic came to mind. This is not a thread about that particular user, it's a thread in general on the subject. Yes there are some cases where an exception could be made but not many.

This is not a thread to beat up admins either. They have the right to run the forum as they see fit. Just curious how everyone feels on the subject.

Hello Admin and staff, would it be possible to get a post count on our profiles? I'm currently using activity when adding people to a sig campaign, but that's not an accurate post count. I will manually be checking users posts, but a post count would still help.

Forum related / What I look for when selecting signature campaign participants

I looked around for the best board to post this and decided this 1 might be the best. If the Admins feel it needs moved, please feel free to do so. I noticed the QUALITY POSTING GUIDANCE thread by the admin in this section, so figured this is relevant.

Anyways, this is in response to all the applicants that applied for a recent campaign I launched. I realize that nearly everyone is here looking to make a dollar, myself included. I have no issues with that and I don't feel like anyone else does either. The issue is, don't make it look like that is all you are here for. This is a growing community and it has more value than chasing the dollar.

So, what the hell am I talking about right? When I open up a persons profile I look at everything. I'm looking at how active they are, karma earned, posts, etc. So below I will list everything I look at when going through applications.

What I am looking at in your profile

How active are you?
How much karma have you earned
Are you a spammer?
Are you burstposting
Are you posting regularly, or do you just post in sig campaign threads, giveaways, and other various bounties?
Are you posting multiple days per week?

I opened multiple applications. Nearly 100 different applicants applied in the campaign. While opening these applications I saw users that only posted in sig campaign threads, users that had not been active for weeks/months, users that were posting every 2 minutes. It was really sad to see. I know the forum is just starting to become active, but we have had 3 months to get active and accustomed here. If you people are expecting to earn money here, you will need to change your ways. No manager is going to give half of you a chance, I actually considered starting a blacklist because the quality of some were so bad. Below is a small guide of what to change.

Try to take your time when posting. Its not a race to get done. You have all the time in the world when not in a campaign, to make posts and grow your persona. If in a campaign, you have the week to reach your goals obviously, but it's still not a race. Average a post every 30 minutes or more. an occasional back to back post is ok, but not 5 in a row every 3 minutes.
Post all over the forum. Don't limit yourself to 1 or 2 boards and all of them revolving around making money. Mix in different boards between your bounty posts, signature applications, or other money making opportunities.
Try to be an active poster. Login at least a few days a week and make posts, even if not in a campaign. Active posters are going to get looked at more than users that post once a month.
Make sure what you are posting is relevant information. Don't just post to post. Be helpful, read other replies, and be on topic. You get a spammer tag and its basically game over for you earning anything here.
Earning karma is not a requirement so far, but if you are posting like I stated above and staying on topic, trying to help or whatnot, then you will likely earn karma. Users who are earning karma and getting noticed on the forum when they post are going to have no problem getting hired in a campaign,

It's not illegal to want to make some money, but respect the community while doing so. Don't be a cancer!!!

Prior to the new year I had an account here and i didn't visit very often as the forum really didn't have a lot of traffic or opportunity. With mixers bringing their business here, that has obviously started to change, although mixers are only going to keep advertising here if it stays lucrative for them to do so. I am trying to get a couple casinos over here as well, but we will see what happens with that.

The big question is, would any of you be here if you couldn't join a signature campaign? What are some ways that you would interact in this community that isn't just a money grab? I'm here trying to make a dollar too, but we need to focus on growth and keeping the forum alive or it will just go back to the same state it was in before the new year.

I see the admin has contests from time to time which is cool. What else would make you or your friends want to be a part of this community?

Sports discussions, predictions, contests or whatever could all go in the section, just not sure if people would participate if not being paid to participate ya know? So many different leagues that it could clutter a gambling section if we let it.

Hello everyone, While browsing the forum today I came across this PROFILE and noticed he was posting in the wrong section. He is posting what looks like AI or chat GPT content in the referral link section. He is the 2nd user I have seen that from in the past week.

If it was 1 post I would just report it and move on but this person is making multiple posts per day.

So should we message this user and ask them to pay attention to where they are posting? Just report them and let staff handle it? Give -karma? Post in their thread in hopes they read it?

The user is a newbie but has 14 pages of posts, and I have not looked through all 14 pages, but I would say they are aware of what they are doing. I don't want to discourage users from being here, but I don't think it's too much to ask for users to at least attempt to follow the rules.

I have seen where Negative karma is described as Negative karma is given to users who are misbehaving, breaking the rules, being aggressive or disruptive to the forum. This can be found in this topic https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=657.0

I pop on a few times a day and make a post or 2. Where I post varies, I like the forum section and I like the gambling section mostly. I also have the notification bot enabled to let me know if someone has mentioned me in a reply so I can read their reply and respond if needed. Today the bot went off with this message You received -1 Negative Karma. Total received Karma 94.
Follow the rules, and keep posting good, helpful topic to avoid getting Negative Karma.

Normally I could care less who agrees or disagrees with my opinion as we are all different and everyone is never going to agree with a person all the time, but I am pretty sure I have tried not to be too aggressive or misbehave on here thus far.

Reading the noti that I got it says follow the rules (check), keep posting good, helpful topic (check) to avoid getting neg karma. OK now the question is, how do I know where I am misbehaving, breaking rules, or being aggressive if I have no clue who gave me the neg karma or what post the neg karma was given to? How can I be better about whatever issue someone had, if I don't know the issue that person had.

I am of the opinion that who and when you were given + or - karma should be public knowledge. I see no reason to keep it hidden honestly. If it's hidden what's the point in having it?

Wouldn't mind some constructive opinions on the topic and maybe I'll gain a different perspective on the topic.

I've been a little chatty in the box but no regularly. I do try to go back and read what everyone might have written since my last login, but half the time there is less than 10 new chats in there.

I also noticed that when people start asking questions in the chatbox, the admin would prefer they make a thread.

If the chatbox wasn't there, then everyone would make a thread right? Or would they just stay ignorant on whatever subject they're curious about?

What does everyone else think? It's ok but not many use it and admin has to clear it almost daily. Post opinions please

Now with all that said, a signature campaign is not a complete waste of money at all. You just cannot expect people to toss their money into something that is not proven right away. A company needs to build a reputation. A company needs to make sure their ToS is not completely ridiculous. A company needs to show that they plan on being around for a long time and that if you the consumer give them a chance, you will have a fun experience. Consumers also need to know that if they decide to trust a site and make a deposit, they will get paid. Of course you the consumer needs to read the ToS and make sure you can comply before making said deposit.

If a company has a decent bankroll and wants to come out aggressive with a signature campaign along with small promotions basically hitting the ground running, then I welcome those casinos to drop me a message and let's get to work building a name for yourselves. If you are a small company with a small bankroll, don't consider a signature campaign up front without establishing yourself so as you aren't wasting your money.

I can advise you and help you build a reputation, but I cannot force people to play on your site.

How to kill players

Leaving the game

If you are playing on a desktop or laptop to leave the game you hold the escape button down for 2 seconds and will leave the game. If you are playing on your mobile device, you will see a button on the left that says leave game, just click it.

Available game modes

1. Practice lobby - This lobby is where you can test the game and improve your skill. Free to enter and occasionally there is free money to be won but it is rare.
2. 20 cent lobby - This lobby you can win money in and it is against beginners mainly
3. $1.50 lobby - This is for the more advanced players to take a chance at winning
4. $5 lobby - This is for the big boys who feel they are unbeatable.
