Ethereum Forum / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum? (Discussion)
« on: July 10, 2018, 10:33:27 PM »
Bitcoin is the mainstream choice with the highest market capitalization and undeniably, the most popular one. It is essentially digital money and the future of how payment should be made.

Ethereum is a blockchain platform that has smart contracts that can be built on top of it.

These two is a very different platform. But which do you think will be more valuable in the future? Bitcoin or Ethereum?
With Ethereum Blockchain and smart contract, it's gaining a lot of recognition and popularity.  However the popularity and market of the crypto currencies is dependent on Bitcoin.
So if Bitcoin increases in value and market volume; it impacts other coins like Ethereum.
Therefore it is very likely that Bitcoin will remain in its current position.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is 2018 favorable for Bitcoin?
« on: July 09, 2018, 01:43:01 AM »
A lot has happened this year especially with the Bitcoin price on the market. Apparently, it appears that Bitcoin is preparing for another massive bull surge, perhaps by the end of the year. A lot of predictions have from crypto experts and we hope to it turns out to be another giant leap price record for Bitcoin.
2018 hasn't been a favourable year for the crypto market in general. Bitcoin in particular has constantly been falling in price.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: The role of Bitcoin in our economy
« on: July 09, 2018, 01:41:15 AM »
Bitcoin has a very great positive impact on the economy of each country that accepts the use of Bitcoin. Bitcoin comes as a package which offers job opportunities like Blockchain technoogy analyst, developer, bounty hunter etc. Also, Bitcoin gives its users the ability to own total control over their financial transactions due to its decentralized nature. In the long run, the economy is enhanced as the people enjoy all these benefits from Bitcoin.
Bitcoin has created a lot of job avenues that earn individuals income. Apart from helping people to earn income, it has also helped people to start businesses or companies through the public offerings known as ICOs

Bitcoin Forum / Re: The survival of the Blcockchain without Bitcoin
« on: July 06, 2018, 03:39:35 PM »
Blockchain's survival without Bitcoin will not be easy at all because Bitcoin serves as a strong hold for the Blockchain technology. People have trust and confidence in Bitcoin, hence the absence of Bitcoin will lead to withdrawal of many investors which can cause a massive dip in the crypto market volume.
The Bitcoin Blockchain was designed to make the Blockchain cling to Bitcoin: so it falls without it. This shouldn't be the case beacise Blockchain is the technology that makes bitcoin unique.
However many will agree with me that the Ethereum Blockchain set an industrial standard such that it allows all industrial sectors to use the Blockchain technology.
This creates some form of autonomy for the Blockchain.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Right time to buy a lot of bitcoin?
« on: July 06, 2018, 03:34:34 PM »

I think now is the right time to buy more bitcoin because the price is very low,  but I think after a while bitcoin price will rise again and if we buy  more now we cant make more money in the near future. What do yo think?
Buying this time could be advantageous. You can take advantage of the fall in market.
Investors term this as the window of opportunity.
You buy when is low.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What is happening to the Bitcoin?
« on: July 06, 2018, 03:29:40 PM »
I woke up today to my uttermost surprise that the King Kong of all cryptocurrencies has fallen below $6000. Crypto analyst and expert, Luis Carranza, has tweeted that Bitcoin can bottom down to $2500. What are your views on this? Will it continue to fall or it will bounce back?
The market of Bitcoin has reached a level where I think predictions and speculations don't matter anymore. Most of the predictions are manipulative.
At this point it is clear that the price of Bitcoin wouldn't rise like it did last year but I'm not sure that it'll fall that sharp to $2.5k

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What's the use of bitcoin for you?
« on: July 06, 2018, 03:22:58 PM »
We know that the actual use case of bitcoin is as a currency but for now, many people are using it for investment purposes because of the opportunity that its value will rise in a short period of time and in return you will have profits. This will eventually be use as a currency if the price would be stable.

Currently, I am using bitcoin to pay bills because we have a platform that can pay out utility bills through bitcoin so somehow I am using it as a currency. How about you? Do you use bitcoin as currency already or an investment for now?
There are any institution or business that accept Bitcoin payments in my region, so real life usage is a problem for me. However I have been using Bitcoin for few peer to peer transactions internationally and it was very cool.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is Bitcoin money?
« on: July 06, 2018, 03:16:47 PM »
From what I have read, money as one major difference from currency. Real money functions to serve as a store of value , currency does not.
Other than that money has all the functionality of currency.
IE: fiat currency ... is really just that, currency. Due to inflation its not a store of value.
Gold, on the other hand is considered money because it has a store of value, it nearly always stands to correct the current inflation status of any given nations currency.

Bitcoin definitely functions as currency, but as far as being a reliable store of value... well time will tell. Sure, it easily can and is designed w/ that aspect in mind, but its so new that it cannot be judged for its store of value 'status'.
Bitcoin's ultimate store of value worthiness will be determined by the demand for its utility to function as insanely an insanely effeciency currency system. So far, that demand lies only w/ nerds & geeks & believers of that system. It needs to reach average joe demand and thats not gonna happen for quite some time ... if ever...
The definitions stated here makes a lot of sense. Whatever that is considered a currency is subject to inflation and it is not a store of value. For this reasons it cannot be considered as money.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Why are you investing in bitcoin?
« on: July 05, 2018, 02:02:29 AM »
Why are you investing in bitcoin?
I invest in bitcoin because bitcoin is still alive and on the rise, the ability of this currency to disappear forever is almost no.
And you? What do you expect?
Bitcoin is an advent innovation hosted on the revolutionary Blockchain technology. I believe that it will serve a lifetime of progress.
I invest in Bitcoin because the aforementioned and it is also recognized as an asset which allows you to earn profits by just holding.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Do you think Bitcoin has no competitor?
« on: July 05, 2018, 01:58:24 AM »
Bitcoin has stayed on number one since its inception amidst the several alt coins being minted each and every day. It appears Bitcoin has no competitor but that is not the case. Bitcoin has a direct competitor on the market which is Ethereum. Anyway, it will take an incredible technology induction to the Ethereum Blockchain in order to surpass Bitcoin.
Ethereum is a big competitor of Bitcoin. Although the price difference between the coin is very huge, Ethereum has the potential to rise like Bitcoin.
Considering the state of the Ethereum Blockchain and its smart contract, it is gaining a lot recognition. Ethereum is as useful as Bitcoin though their value is not the same.

The governments seek nothing of Bitcoin but to gain full control over its transactions in order to manipulate the market to suit their own gains. The decentralized nature of Bitcoin does not allow this to take place hence most of the governments do not want to accept Bitcoin but rather impose regulations on Bitcoin.
The Blockchain can't function in a centralised system.
The price of Bitcoin will affect the economy as its fluctuations will cause inflations.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin is powerful, why scared ?
« on: June 28, 2018, 01:19:11 AM »
People have failed to predict Bitcoin and now they're afraid because they can't predict and are loosing their hope.
People are too focused on the investing part of Bitcoin and have failed to recognise it as a currency. This makes them think that as the prices fall that'll be the end of Bitcoin but they ignore the technology, and other advantages of Bitcoin as a currency.

Bitcoin Forum / Investing in ICOs
« on: June 28, 2018, 12:32:04 AM »
Investment in ICOs come along with bonuses and good for strategic investments. However the weakness of the crypto market volume is not helping ICOs
For this reason many ICOs do not succed and some also turn out to be scams.
Whats motivates people to still invest in ICOs?

Tokens/Coins Offerings (ICO, IEO, etc.) / Re: How to choose ICOs
« on: June 23, 2018, 02:22:48 PM »
It depends on what reason you're choosing an ICO.  If you're choosing one to invest in then you have most of the key points there.  Bounties are another matter, but a project with a good bounty will attract more investors as well so I guess they're kind of linked.  The biggest thing for me is the amount of coins they allocate towards their bounty, though.  I've seen some as high as 6% of their total coins, though the average is closer to 1-2% though.  If it's any lower, I would avoid them like the plague.  They clearly don't value the people they're paying to promote their product.

You've mentioned a very important factor, which us the bounty pool. I believe the goal of every bounty hunter is to earn or get rewards at the end of the bounty. Since the bounty pool determines how much you will get as a bounty hunter, it is very important that you check it out before partipating in the bounty.

Bitcoin is still in it prime stages. It will take time for it to be fully grounded to become much stable and have minimal risk.
