Cryptocurrency is gradually increasing in adoption as people get to know the significant role it plays in our world of finance. The ways to earn profit from cryptocurrency are numerous and among them include cryptocurrency investment. Just as any other avenue for making profit, cryptocurrency investment has its own principles to follow in order to become a successful cryptocurrency investor. Investor is always required to study the market trend and do personal researches on projects and coins in order to come out with the right coins to invest in at a particular point in time. In addition, the investor must learn to be patient especially when the market goes down in order not to sell off the valuable coins at cheap prices. Further more, the investor must always invest an amount which is affordable to lose, just in case the worse happens.
What is your experience or knowledge in cryptocurrency investment? Any learned lessons from previous mistakes?

I once traded on IDEX and the market was decentralized.
There I found that the market was free and I once bought A token at Buy Order 2,000 gwei and at that time the price of 12,000 gwei A Token.
The Pump and Dump are very extream and this is my worst and sweetest experience with cryptocurrency.

Well, everything about crypto investment experience depends on individuals objective or may be strategies. The experience of mr "A" on short term investmen, for instance, may differ from mr "B" on long term investments. As for me, i have learnt to wait for a little green market to sell some of my coins as a short term investor/trader. Buying during bear market has also help in getting the best projects to invest because some of these coins has little strength to resist the market bear situation while some coins can recover very quick.

Ive been in these space since 2015 and Ive learned a lot specially when to buy and to sell observe patience and avoid for being one of the weak hands  because if you let those happen you will lost a lot of opportunity for real growth.

Of course, the most difficult part of all the avenues of making profit in crypto is the part of choosing which project or coin to work with. The research must cut across all dimensions of the project/coin - do not rely on just a single aspect, for example only the expertise of the team or the road map. The reason why it is very necessary to base the decision on the analysis of various dimensions of the project/coin is that most of the projects have good and promising roadmap, idea and product yet fail to sail through successfully at the end of the day.
The analysis must therefore be a combination effect of expertise level of the team, the product and its level of demand on the market, the idea and road map, the strength and support level of the crypto community of the project/coin etc.

When talking about investment, I often open blogs and read a number of articles, about how to become a good and profitable investor. But one of my mistakes is to expect to see coins that I have held for a long time will increase in price without trading and only become viewers. Being a successful investor requires an understanding of the basics of cryptocurrency and experts are actually not needed because crypto investment requires time to be able to learn more from experience and get to know the technology of new projects.

I feel patience is the key to get success in cryptocurrency market. I have been in crypto market since two years. I saw bullish market as well as bearish market. Most of the traders panic easily and sell their high potential coins in loss. I must say one should not panic or distract by the negative news or FUD and always remain calm in worst conditions of the market. Its a high volatile market never invest your hard earned money.

Never choose coins with low-quality team projects. I think the team of a project will determine whether the coins will improve or die soon. And the second thing that we should ensure is to make sure that the coins are necessary to develop the projects. Don't buy coins that are unlikely important for the projects since they will be hard to increase the values.

Definitely dollar-cost averaging (either by price or time) is one of the most effect ways to invest in my opinion, this and learning money management ie not throwing all your money in at the same time or over one project. Always be patient and minimize your risk by managing your position sizes properly.
