Altcoins Not Getting A Share of the Bull Run

As of now, there is no question that Bitcoin is really soaring into the "moon" and many are expecting that more can be coming as the days of 2020 are winding down and we are excitedly waiting for the start of year 2021. However, we also understand that most of the altcoins -- at least those in the top 20 I guess -- are not getting their share of the actions and in fact some are even retreating.

I heard someone opined that unlike 2017 where the bull run was due to the retail buyers -- maybe referring to ordinary guys like you and me -- this time around the bull run is due to institutional interest and sadly not so many in this source of money are really interested with altcoins except perhaps with Ethereum.

So, should we expect the same kind of altcoin movement in 2021 or will there be the so-called Altcoin Season -- the time when altcoins are getting the limelight?

This year's bull run is kind of disappointing for so many most especially those who don't hold any bitcoin at all, we all waiting and hoping that the bull run will extend to altcoins too but unfortunately, I personally don't see this happening, bitcoin seems to be the main focus this time and this will surly be the time that altcoins or tokens without a solid use case will begin to die a slow death.

Bitcoin's primarily runs was the result of it's support (or direct whale involvements). Moreover, altcoins are currently gaining from it but not as drastic as of the last run of 2017-2018. Most of the developments surrounding major tokens involves kyc, forks and other long term changes. We may not see a big boost in altcoins prices today but definitely it will follow as soon as the market adopt and adjust from the current pricing.

Yes bitcoin is the best coin on crypto ever .Recently it has touched on 29k$ up and so .I think the trend will follow this year as well .The market is on very good position and strongly moving to up .Hopefully altcoin will follow the trend as well and behaved like bullish .

The situation in the cryptocurrency market is much better now. So I think there is no need for a new bull run in the market. Because most of the coins in the market have started to improve a lot. Every coin in the market is going much further. So at present cryptocurrency is more likely.

Altszn has not started yet. Actually I think too many altcoins are looking good and held their grounds. Even some increased in btc pair. These are good signs  and when new participants see it is not worthy to invest in btc they will pick altcoins to invets.

well said ,we can say that this current Bull Run is only of Bitcoin. Altcoins are not getting share into it.But according to previous history First Bitcoin Bull Run comes then Altcoins follow this pattern.Still Bitcoin Bull Run has not completed yet.If Bitcoin Stable at some point then Altcoin will perform.

NO bull is just starting like last December it can be the start of the real bull run wait for correction of btc dominance and the bitcoin liquidity will transfer to altcoins this is called the alt-season and this will really happen in the coming months along with this when more money jump in crypto and more liquidity added into the market this is the time altcoin and btc for sure will go to the moon this year.

I agree with you because we know that bitcoin reach at high price where altcoins movement is not appear but now it is in up rising trend. We know that only ether get the power form bull market. Currently the ether price is $906 which is positive sign of getting bull run.

Currently i am not agree with the concept because already ether begins to bull run. Now the current price of the coin is $1000 In this week ether increase a lot and it is on going. Though we know btc movement is so high but as the position of ether i think it is better.
