John McAfee has been charged with securities fraud and money laundering

Personally, I don't like him because of what he always says and also posts about himself and his thought about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. And what he is doing now is if he did it and also there are proves, so, he deserves it. Just let the law rules it and makes the right decision.
About Elon Musk, I never heard that SEC is now focusing also on him. I don't know the exact case, but, it may relate to how he made the short pump about certain coins.

Too bad, John McAfee is in a trouble again. I think he will always do something to attract people. Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with this man, he may still dream to be Satoshi or another one that becomes the person more popular than his popularity nowadays.

Well, am sure that John McAfee has known all along that something like this can be coming his way. I am sure that he was aware of the projects he was then promoting, he is not that naive in this industry, and he allowed his name to be used and abused by unscrupulous people whose main intent is to get as much money as possible and then run. He deserves this charge though I am still wishing that he can get through to this.

With Elon Musk, the big difference is that DogeCoin and Bitcoin are not considered to be fraudulent platforms and the man did not receive anything in return for saying something about them. Of course, the question here can be manipulation as the prices of those coins made it to the top with his subtle endorsements.
