Will this coming Ethereum scaling capability for the whole network mean that gas fees will be returning to normal? I am not sure how many months has this problem been ongoing and yet the Ethereum people failed to the problem with finality...meanwhile small Ethereum users are bearing the burden of paying incredible amounts just to move their coins and tokens. This is what I hate with Ethereum, actually.  And the very reason why we saw the rise of the alternatives on the market today. Hope that 2022 can be the year when Ethereum will be letting us experience cheap crypto transactions...we are already so fed up with this situation.
