Coinbase Wants Actions on Crypto Rulemaking Petition
Coinbase puts efforts to obtain a court order to respond to its crypto rulemaking petition compelling the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Coinbase is seeking a command to force the SEC to take action within a time period of 30 days. To criticise the agency for delaying the process SEC recently submitted an indefinite status update, prompting Coinbase's chief legal officer, Paul Grewal. SEC is trying to avoid addressing their request for cryptocurrency market rules as told by Coinbase. Also Coinbase beliefs that the SEC is using delays and tactics to avoid review by the court. SEC may provide answers by late October or early November.
