China’s EVs VS Europe
« on: January 22, 2024, 01:45:55 PM »
A graph showing the rates of import and export of cars to and from China, including electric cars. Through the graph we see China’s superiority over European car manufacturers, which is something that no one expected to happen, especially with the low quality of Chinese cars in 2010 to 2015, which did not exceed safety standards in Lots of cases.

Why are you surprised?
Yes 15 years ago the Chinese car industry caused "tears of sympathy" for the non-buyer interest. It was.
But as the years went by. China got new technologies, got technologies like Volvo, and significantly raised the quality of its cars. Plus China has key natural resources for battery production. Plus, China has fewer restrictions and requirements on automakers, which is very liberating. Plus they run the technology in their country, do a strong work on mistakes and in 2-3 years get a great product. Which both in price and equipment is not inferior to the cars of European manufacturers.

I have not bought a Chinese car recently, but I had experience with a friend’s car in 2013, so I thought that their manufacturing was still of the same quality. I know that China has changed in the car industry since 2018, but I did not think that they would get results so quickly. If this continues, then in less than In 5 years, we will see much more Chinese cars than German, American, Japanese and Korean cars.

I know that China has changed in the car industry since 2018, but I did not think that they would get results so quickly. If this continues, then in less than In 5 years, we will see much more Chinese cars than German, American, Japanese and Korean cars.

I also don't own Chinese cars, I like Japanese car classics better :) I had a Toyota Prado, last year I changed it to a Toyota RAV4 hybrid :)
BUT !
An acquaintance from 2012+ year buys a model "Cherry Tigo" - it is an unlicensed "copy" of Toyota RAV4 of the same years, and if quite honest - with a lag of a couple of years from the original.
So, I will tell you honestly - if you do not have a lot of money, but want something similar to a quality brand, and at the same time get acceptable quality and not bad equipment, for about 10 years, Chinese manufacturers produce just such cars !!!!  And I am personally convinced of this ! For example, Jeep Cherroki, a classic of the 90s, produces Greatwall for a long time. And Greatwall was selling a REALLY good car for the price of its copy of the Jeep Cherokee. Yes, there are nuances, But this car was a lot cheaper than the original ! So do not underestimate the Chinese car industry ! Especially "enriched" or stolen, or "borrowed", or bought technologies !

PS But I still favor the Japanese car industry ! :)
