My Activity Is Frozen - Please I Need Help

I came this evening with an activity of 2000, which to me, also acts as post count (maybe I am yet to understand this forum completely), and after making 4 posts (this thread included), i discovered that my activity level was still stuck at 2000, I did use the chat function of the forum, and @MrSpasybo did try his best to explain why my activity is stuck, and also pointed me to some thread with solutions, but honestly, I am still as confused as hell  .

I learnt that activity freezes when a user have reached the required activity for the next rank but yet to reach other requirements like karma and so on, but when I checked THIS THREAD, I saw that the next rank after LEGENDARY  is MYSTICAL,  and the number of posts required for this rank is 5000, I am not anywhere near 5000 posts, which rank exactly am I about to reach?

Please admin, I need help a clear explanation on this, and how to go about unfreezing my activity.

And hope this does not affect my post counts visibility to my campaign manager?

I cannot comment on activity as I am not 100% clear on that, but as far as your manager goes, if they are any sort of decent manager they will open your profile and look at posts from xxx date to xxx date for the pay period. So, it shouldn't be an issue.

Currently you have Activity = 2000, to reach Mythical, you need about 3000 more Activities.

Activity will increase above 2000 when you reach all other factors such as Time and Karma. I don't have specific numbers, but keep trying.

When Activity reaches 5000, you will receive Rank Mythical.

This is what I think, I also don't have an exact number of how much Karma and how much Time to rank up from Legendary to Mythical. Perhaps admin keeps these numbers secret to encourage members to keep trying to be active on our forum.

Anyway, we should wait for the clearest answer from admin

Managers should count post number and not activity number, but they cant find this number in profile page, they need to do some more math 
You should tell your managers about this if they dont know it already, but it can be confusing for new people who teleported here from bitcointalk forum.

Of all the replies on this topic, many gave the statement that if we want to get through this activity we have to use Karma, active time on forums, etc.
But in my opinion, the most relevant thing is to continue to be active in the forum and provide the best information for all members, so that contributions to their activities can also be seen to increase.

Maybe the solution for now, in my opinion, is to continue to be active in the forum and for a bounty manager who seems to know what to do, he must count every post in the "show post" profile section, not check activity.

So we will all face the same problem when the activity reaches 2000, and there are no clear answers in the forum about the other requirements needed to move to the next rank, such as karma or time.

I expect that it has become necessary for the admin to write a topic to explain these mysterious things in a more detailed way so that we avoid the emergence of more topics that ask the same questions about these issues that I see as somewhat ambiguous.

If you are stuck on an activity then this thread will help you, this topic is made by the admin himself, I also did not realize at the start that the activity on this forum was not only influenced by single factors instead at least 4 to 5 factors. As on BTT we only have to make posts and 1 activity will be added accordingly but with time factor also.

But here on ALTT we have to keep in mind many factors like the following.

The requirement for rank increase varies, and can depend on these factors:
- Post count : how many topics and posts have you created ?
- Karma : are your topics and replies getting positive karma?
- Online presence: are you present on the forum often, or just logging in posting the out.
- Registration date: when you signed-up, to prevent cheating with ranking.

You should get some karma, make new topics, and should spend some time on this forum as online time also included in increasing activity. I also thought at first that my activity is not increasing but with increasing karma, it also started to increase. I hope this solves your problem.

You found this well, but it is still not a concrete explanation of what the clear conditions are.

The requirement for rank increase varies, and can depend on these factors:
- Post count : how many topics and posts have you created ? OK, admin explained this expressed in numbers.
- Karma : are your topics and replies getting positive karma? How much positive karma is needed per rank, is there a number? how does negative karma affect this, in numbers?
- Online presence: are you present on the forum often, or just logging in posting the out. OK, I assume that the time spent on the forum counts. But how much time, does it have any relationship with the number of posts and how is it calculated?
- Registration date: when you signed-up, to prevent cheating with ranking. I'm not sure I understand this. But it doesn't seem like a crucial factor to me, if you look at the time spent on the forum as well as the deserved karma

Based on everything, it seems to me that the decision to enable the forum account upgrade is made manually and depends on the administrator's assessment. Which is completely wrong.

Been following discussion here, but I was so busy all through yesterday that I didn't get any chance of replying here.

Over all, from the way the forum is programmed, I think this will definitely happen to mostly, all the teleported members who are of legendary ranks, who manages to reach the 2000 activity level without not so many positive karma yet, oh, and I learnt that, time spent on the forum and number of topics created is also a factor to put into consideration.

If admin is not going to do away with this method of ranking up, I think he should create a thread explaining in numbers, all the requirements and criterias to meet before a user could each respective ranks, this way, things like this don't be a source of confusion for users.

Anyways, I did pm admin, he replied and said I should re-pm him in one week time if the problem persist, so, I am possibly hoping the admin could help find a way around this for me, and to other users who may encounter this in the future - this is if this is not permanently re-programmed anyway.

I know how frustrating it used to be when you have a problem but there is no tangible solution and yet there is a solution. To me I do not even know about my activity and post count here. I do not even care about them at the moment because I am yet to discover myself in this forum. I do not also open my profile to check the number of activity or post count as I did not see any difference between the two. Who knows if I am facing a similar problem in another way because I noticed that I am always among the list paid participant in my campaign even some weeks that I will put more efforts they won't be any difference. I did not also know that mythical is the highest rank here. I have thought that it's a kind of appointment.
Concerning post count, I believe that managers need do extra work by opening the profile of individuals to get a very good post count.

Simple solutions for everyone to be happy is to add clear number of total posts in profile, and problem is solved.
No need to do some complicated code fixing, you will have both Activity and Total number of posts in profile (similar like in bitcointalk forum).

You have raised good concerns, it might be a little bit hard for us to calculate the activities, on these factors, because number one there are so many, and 2nd there is less information about these factors. If the admin had explained them well, then we might have been able to calculate our activity with no error or ambiguity.

But at the moment, I think this is all, and at least it works, and helps a little bit in this situation. Talking about your questions, I think, the online presence and the registration date, have the same logic, for example, 1 day will count as 1 activity with 1 post, (on BTT) but if you have been registered for 15 days with no post and then make started to make multiple posts in a day, the activity will increase. Like if you make 15 posts in one day after 15 days the activity will be "15". I think the same logic is here for the last two factors.

Talking about karma and post count, I assume admins must have some formula set to count activity.

I agree with you that will solve the issue. I'm also having same issue as the OP, my activity has been frozen from last few days when I reached 1000 activity and thus I can't gain more activity even if I make 10 posts a day. The worst thing is that the forum doesn't have post count feature and due to that many problems arise.

Most of the time people count your posts based on your activity and when it's frozen then it becomes a tough job to manually look after each post and count them one by one. So the only possible and helpful solution for such issue is to either completely remove the activity freeze thing or to add a feature where user's posts number is shown just like Bitcointalk.
