Cross checking wallet address to make sure it matches the exact wallet we want to send funds to after copying and pasting it, is just as important as securing our wallet to make sure it doesn't get hacked, alot of cases I've seen where people sent their funds the wrong address and just like that, the money is gone.
One that happens recently involved a huge amount of $90,000 which the user mistakenly sent to usdt contract address on Tron blockchain, instead of sending to his kucoin address, that is, the nigga is a well known bitcoiner here in my country, he was to buy a coin listed on kucoin exchange, he decide to move $90,000 from his Binance account to kucoin exchange, he opened his kucoin account, went to the usdt deposit page, selected TRX network and copied his address, he did not know what happened, there was some kind of mix which he did not notice, he went to his Binance account and pasted the wallet address, unknown to him that it was the contract address of TRON USDT that he pasted, he did all the confirmation and the fund were sent, transaction confirmed on blockchain but his kucoin wallet was empty, upon checking to see what happened, he discovered he sent the $90,000 to USDT contract address on Tron, instead of his kucoin usdt wallet address.
This are the transaction hash for whoever wants to confirm -
