dkbit98 told me he wants to hide topics from users on boards as well. I just did it.
Good work brother. I used to use some extensions for bitcointalk long time ago but when I was resetting my computer and had a fresh installation, everything disappeared LOL.

Hey OP I think you did not know that we already had this function that we can access directly from our profile, and that function is way easier then yours and also an official one, so why would people use your third-party software that you have made, I am not objecting on you, I trust you from BTT, I am just asking you did all that work without knowing we had an option to ignore people. That's so sad you must be frustrated.
What I understand is, it's not only about ignoring users.

from a white European exchange, ensuring an additional level of reliability and trust in every transaction.
It's better if you add the name of the exchange. Because this is a claim you are doing to increase the trust for your product but when you are not mentioning the specific name then it means you are not telling the full history.

By the way, there are no coins that is white and black. White and black are some terms created by the group who wants to spread scarcity for cryptocurrency to be precise for bitcoin.

Adding the Bitcoin Logo

These are personalized designed Unijoin cards, they contain Unijoin's logo and everything else that is needed. A promotional item for collectors, I don't see why it is important to have the Bitcoin logo on it.
Perhaps because it's a completely bitcoin service and promotes bitcoin that's why the inspiration 😉

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Quantum Computing and Bitcoin private key
« on: March 08, 2024, 02:07:22 PM »
I am not a technical guy but I read someone posted something on other forums or articles I think like a question on whether super computers or quantum computing can break the security but based on the comments might be possible but it will took too long to break security of Bitcoin depending on how powerful the computing power of the said technology.

Quote
Quantum computing has the potential to impact cryptocurrency, with experts discussing its threat to the Bitcoin Network.
For Ramon Tayag, quantum computing is more of a threat to the banking system than Bitcoin.
While for Atty. Rafael Padilla, it will be a security threat to Bitcoin, but in the same manner that it will be a threat to all existing encryption technologies.
Considering the rapid technological advancements and innovations, the new system called quantum computing may have potential implications for cryptocurrency.

So the traditional way of banking system is more of an easy target to this rather than Bitcoin. That being said, it's not that really a threat right now but I know Bitcoin Core devs will also surely find ways to counter this threat in the future.
There could be many reasons for the delay. On bitcointalk I had the same topic and some of us agree with it. But it still will create some insecurity. Bitcoin will become worthless as when someone will steal your bitcoin then there will be another one who will steal his bitcoin too.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Quantum Computing and Bitcoin private key

I just created the following topic on BCT and thought to have a discussion about it on this forum too. I was sleeping in peace last night but this morning I woke up with a worry.

Quote
They are working heavily in quantum computing from 2017. There is s race between China and USA to show who is bigger. So far China seems ahead in quantum computing.

tl;dr;
With quantum computing the current email security will break, anything even the banking sector that is secured by current encryption methods will be broken. USA is not issuing their cbdc yet because they are working on quantum computing proof encryption. Banks are will move to the new technology too.

Are we preparing to protect Bitcoin from quantum computing era?

Ask a Moderator / Re: Self-moderated topics?
« on: March 04, 2024, 11:24:26 AM »
I don't even think that self moderation is appropriate in threads. Announcement threads or campaign threads needs freedom of speech incase anything related to scam.
Having a feature is good. Abusive people will try to abuse everything they have and to restrict them it does not make sense to remove or not introduce a useful feature.

Self moderated threads are useful in many ways. Once the community will become bigger, the number of trolls will grow too. Without a self moderated thread it's impossible to control the trolls if you want to focus in a discussion.

Ask a Moderator / How would I stay on the same topic page

When I make a post reply, it takes me to the board or section the topic was posted. It would be nice if anyone can help me to figure out how I can stay on the same topic page. It helps me to revise the post I made without losing myself on the list of topics LOL

how do you make childboard invisible to you?
On bitcointalk you can ignore a board or child-board the way you can ignore a user. I am not if this forum has the feature.

Since I do not speak any languages other than English
It's same for me at least on internet.

Forum related / Re: Karma system of ATT verses Merit system of BTT
« on: March 03, 2024, 09:27:02 PM »
1. Between the merit system on BTT and karma system on ATT, which do you like or prefer the most based in your experience with both forums?
Anything like of dislike all depends on getting used to it. I still have a long road ahead to get used to with Karma. But I am sure it won't take much longer.

Quote
Which of this systems do you think is more easier to abuse?
When there are proper surveillance from the community then it's not easy to abuse, I mean both. On bitcointalk forum members are very active to catch abuse but I am not sure how Karma tracing works. If everything is open like Merits then it won't be easy to abuse.

One of the best ways to show someone that Bitcoin really works as a currency is to find an online site or even better a physical store, and to pay something with Bitcoin. Otherwise, I can say from personal experience that most people perceive Bitcoin as something similar to shares or gold where you invest in order to make a profit after some time.
The best works for me is, if only the person is very close to me, I show him some stash, a small one, send it to P2P site, use the local mobile app to cash out the printed money.

There are bitcoin ATMs too which can easily convince people that you are with a currency that is exchangeable.

After over a decade, everyone knows that Bitcoin is real. People are just scared for no reason.

Forum related / Re: Limited threads but still visible. Why?
« on: March 01, 2024, 10:04:50 AM »
After the misuse was recognized, the admin checked the KYC and it turned out that he had submitted the information of the grandmother, mother, sister...
So he made all these accounts legally legal LOL. I am not sure if this forum is under the surveillance of investigative enthusiast members like we have in bitcointalk. If there are then it will not be easy to find alt accounts who are misusing common rules like can not join one signature with more than one account and things like that.

Even before removing, KYC was never mandatory on the forum. It was just an additional option only for those who wanted to have some opportunities. I'm here for more than 5 years and I never passed any KYC and would never do, and that didn't make my presence here anyhow harder. I was okay without any KYC badges. ;)
I get that it's an optional badge like many others. I had time a few days ago to check the types of badges and none of the things looked too attractive to have but people have different choices of course.

I think you mean the crypto girls club.
Correct and I was offered to join the club LOL

I think it was the right decision to remove the KYC option from the forum, it is best for everyone.
I used to see the title KYC verified a few weeks ago, I don't know if it is still there. A few weeks ago I received a PM from one of the forum member too for something about joining pink group [or something else] and do KYC verification. It was more like a suggestion rather than highly recommending and influencing to do such thing.

This should be an anonymous place. At-least with crypto I am more comfortable to stay anonymous.

Bitcointalk has 42 boards and 158 child boards and Altcoinstalks has 79 boards and 240 child boards. Almost double the amount here vs there.
I never counted the boards and child boards. This is interesting even thinking of counting the boards and sub boards. But I think this is a part of the work you do as the campaign managers.

Funny thing is more than half of these boards are in my ignore for some reasons. Local, economy and others sections are in my visible list. Even from these visible lists a lot of them are also in the ignore list. Hence my Bitcointalk experience is targeted to some limited boards. But in this forum the experience is 5x to 10x which makes me lost easily.

This whole matter is not my complaint, I have nothing against concluding the discussion to which we have already received an answer. However, I still learned more about the reasons and what is enough for someone to give their personal information.
It seems certain level of members can post on the topic you listed in your OP. User Freemind was not an admin but I can see he has a post there but for me, as a Legend member, I have no option to reply there.

Not complaining by the way, it seems a board for specific ranks like we have in Ivory tower [if I am correct].
