I just compared estimated income shown by Kryptex[1] with Nicehash[2], where i find it's weird some GPU could earn more on Kryptex rather than NiceHash. Anyway, i'd rather use NiceHash since they're more popular and some of their application is open-source[3]. OP, do you have personal experience with Kryptex?

Different distribution on algorithms, once you go for the same hashrate for a single one you start getting the same income, the profit seems also a bit weird, I assume there are a few wattage differences that shouldn't be there!

Either way, the whole altcoin mining is playing the lottery now, you either have a leftover card that you can't sell and you want to mine for two years while under an electricity prepaid plan instead of selling it or you're going to lose money.
Also, quite funny kryptex has the default electricity price at 1 cent for they calculator, probably because of this:

3080ti at 1 cents kwh,  profit $0.80 per day
3080ti at 15cents kwh, profit $-0.26 per day

I don't think this is the right place to post this it doesn't actually mines Bitcoin instead they paid their miners into Bitcoin while mining other coins.
This section bitcoin mining should be fit to ASIC units that use sha256 algo these units are the one should be topic here on this section.

I think cryptocurrency mining is the right place to talk about this here's the right section for this https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=151.0

Either way, the whole altcoin mining is playing the lottery now, you either have a leftover card that you can't sell and you want to mine for two years while under an electricity prepaid plan instead of selling it or you're going to lose money.

But with AI booming, it should be easier to sell or rent used GPU. Although AFAIK they only want NVIDIA GPU.

Also, quite funny kryptex has the default electricity price at 1 cent for they calculator, probably because of this:

3080ti at 1 cents kwh,  profit $0.80 per day
3080ti at 15cents kwh, profit $-0.26 per day

No wonder Kryptex claim offer more income. Although if open page for specific GPU (such as https://www.kryptex.com/en/hardware/nvidia-rtx-4090), it use 2 cents as default electricity price.

I don't know the market for those or what each project has for requirements, but when playing with stable diffusion old cards are simply useless to the new generation in terms of capacity in rendering. My new 4070 card simply destroyed the old 1660 I had, it was like not even a competition, plus the ram limitation is again another factor.

I highly doubt that a card which is losing money in mining would make some revenue in AI power lending as obviously guys with newer cards would do that too since it would be more profitable and taking over the market. Plus with these insane  new games coming out the old generation that was pretty good for mining, I mean the high end 1/2xxx series will soon not be attractive anymore even on the used marketplace.

I never try rent or provide ones. But looking at vast.ai, RTX 4090 (with fast CPU/big RAM) has rent price starting from 2.2 USD per hour where owner of the device get 75% of rent price[2]. Meanwhile both Kryptex and NiceHash only claim about 1.4 to 1.5 USD per day.

Looking at number i mentioned, it's still possible to obtain profit. But it's limited to those who also set fast CPU/big RAM on their mining RIG or those who take risk upgrading their CPU/RAM.
