Currently in the Vietnamese crypto community, there is a movement to invest in the field of EOS staking. They promise that this is one of the ways to invest and get rich sustainably.
I have found that unlike Ethereum, in the EOS network, transaction fees are eliminated so there is no division from transaction activity. Thus, those participating in staking will receive an EOS block reward.
However, each year EOS inflation is 5%, of which 4% is for funds, 1% is shared for the staking community.
0.25% for block producers, 0.75% for sub-block producers.
I checked EOS staking in Binance, the annual rate of return from staking is only 0.83%.
So, is staking EOS an effective investment direction, if the profit is less than 1% per year?
I think the leaders in Vietnam are raising funds to get enough EOS and joining a block producer fund. In a worse scenario, I think they're cheating.
They even use the relationship with Warren Buffett's daughter-in-law Mary Alice Buffett to create prestige, promote & attract investment @@
