Well this is the main reason why Ethereum keeps holding the 2nd ranking altcoin when there are tons of of altcoins that wanted to take that position but sadly they cannot because Ethereum is one of the best and most promising currecny we have in Altcoin market.
and also with so much using Ethereum platform?this adds to their popularity.

Exactly mate most specially if the people we are asking are those people that knows the market well and trusts the top ranking coin to be their long term Holding , actually this is same behavior as we are that trust crypto to be safer in long time and not an easy money like what shitcoin tend to provide from its investors and of course from those victims of their Pump and dump scheme .

It's because the trust earned is there and the community is stronger than any other I can mentioned here, the security is a top notch but the fact that nothing serious has been done about ethereum chain and fees makes it local technology, no matter the upgrades and all sort of things they bring, if the fees cannot be brought down to a scent, I don't think it's going to worth been the best chain out there but I respect them for their community trust.

If it's by number, Ethereum community is 2 times bigger than Bitcoin because of the ERC20 tokens and other projects that need them to interact with the smart contracts but Bitcoin doesn't have that, this is where I respect ethereum over Bitcoin in terms of numbers of the community.

Main reason for being holder is the easiness for usage for trade,stake and earn Ethereum in sites. It have that interesting idea of spreading the procedures in its network ,for example relying in other ERC-20 tokens to be part of function in some way. Price movement should be expect this year more bigger than last year.

I think that won't happen because currently transaction costs on ERC20 are still relatively high so to increase the price of Ethereum you have to make more and more transactions on the Ethereum network but in reality until now Ethereum has still not succeeded in overcoming this problem.

There are many reasons and factors to consider to hold Ethereum , however Ethereum is the second largest crypto currency by capitalize market, it has lot of potential to grow. Ethereum has a very strong community of developers and  constantly being improve. It has a Ethereum real-world applications, including decentralized applications, and creation of new tokens. It's more friendly option than Bitcoin, it used a less energy to process transactions.

Ethereum and bitcoin are two crypto coins that are a priority to hold. To be honest bitcoin is the biggest in my wallet and ethereum is second, I also diversify in several potential altcoins such as BNB, Solana, doge and DOT.

Ethereum is a coin that always faithfully follows Bitcoin's performance and is always number two in CMC under Bitcoin, this coin is very safe to hold and is suitable for the long term. Even though it looks safe, I am still careful when buying Ethereum because its price movements are no guarantee of always making a profit. Imagine when Ethereum finally fails to enter the ETF and the price collapses, it will make many people panic.

This oddity seems to only happen on Ethereum because currently, as you said, there are still many projects that have great success using the Ethereum network, even though there are still many other networks that have cheaper fees. I feel that many developers use the Ethereum network because it is probably more reliable and Gas costs can be utilized by developers.
