Title: Five Williams forecasts for crypto for 2018.
Post by: Paha87 on July 31, 2018, 04:31:53 PM
While bitcoin is slowly but steadily continues to lose in the price of waiting for the influx of institutional investment in the crypto sphere makes the bulls make forecasts for the end of the year prices that range from optimistic to delusional. Sean Williams of Motley Fool, who has no preconceived position, made his own list of forecasts for late 2018.

Capitalization of the crypto market will decrease by the end of the year
The crypto market in 2017 has steadily grown, which was due to investment and trading almost exclusively by individuals who invested more and more money for profit, which pushed the market capitalization higher and higher.

As access to the crypto market for institutional investors increased in the first months of 2018, as both the CME and CBoE launched bitcoin futures, investors can now make money on both the rise and fall in the price of the cryptocurrency. As Williams writes, this should lead to a steady decline in market conditions. Of course, such a state will not last forever, but to assume that the total market capitalization will return to the level of 830 billion dollars in the next six months is a bold idea.

Bitcoin will lose half its value
Williams also writes that bitcoin will depreciate by half by the end of the year. He predicts a decline, as the market has 2 times dropped to the level of 6 ' 000. Despite the reasons for the fall in prices, according to Williams, the new decline will be caused by increased regulation in large countries, institutional investment or even slow transaction speeds of the bitcoin network.

Altcoins defeat bitcoin
Referring to the emotional trend of cryptocurrency traders, Williams writes that he will stick to his new prediction that another coin, most likely Ethereum, will bypass bitcoin, at least not for long. With a $ 70 billion difference in value in the market, Ethereum has a long list of followers, but Williams refers to the 500 members of the Ethereum Alliance and the utility of the network that could push Ethereum to its first position.

The US will expand cryptocurrency regulation
The Ministry of justice, the Commission on the securities exchange and the North American Association for the securities in the last month actively pursued fraud in connection with cryptocurrencies and the ICO.

In addition, Williams predicts that the US internal revenue Service will increase regulation without closing the loophole for currency exchange, and one of the Federal regulators will increase transparency by forcing traders to use Bank accounts on exchanges, as is already happening in South Korea.

Bitcoin-ETF to appear on the market
The question of whether bitcoin-ETF will appear on the market as soon as CBOE offers bitcoin futures is of concern to many. While the SEC has evaded this, demanding a reply from the stock exchange on the 31 question, which mainly concerned the question of storage of assets. Williams suggests that with the strengthening of regulation in the space, bitcoin-ETF will appear in the market.

In the summary, Williams warns about the dangers inherent in investing in cryptocurrency, and also recalls that digital coins do not have indicators by which they can be estimated, not counting the speed of transactions and daily trading interest rates.

So ETF will appear on the market and bitcoin will lose half its value?! Something doesn't make sense there. And ethereum will not overtake bitcoin, it is lucky to retain second place
