Title: Is IOTA Safe and Secure?
Post by: Munareal on December 19, 2018, 10:43:34 AM
All cryptocurrencies at are at similar risk attack. Hackers are trying hard perpetrate their nefarious acts and developers are working hard to see that their security cannot be bridged. IOTA is safe enough as no serious hacking has been carried out though it has its on flaws

I am really curious about this for myself. I know almost nothing about iota other than it is related with the IOT technology.

And what is the weakness of the IOTA?

I admit I don't understand how IOTA works and I also never trade bitcoin with IOTA.
As always these coins in the communities in my place of residence are less interested.

IOTA coin is safe and secure because this coin has the capability and ability to rise in the crypto market. This coin has been gaining more popularity in the crypto community that would give us more profit soon.

I don't understand how IOTA works, but if IOTA is in the top 50 Coinmarketcap and this is definitely great for long-term investment.
You also have to be strong HODL so you can reach All Time High again like 2017.

IOTA doesn't use the blockchain technology which is being used by most of the cryptocurrencies. Instead, it has developed a new platform known as Tangle, that uses a mathematical concept known as Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG).

Tangle is better than Blockchain in the following aspects:

Scalability: IOTA was designed to enable transactional settlement at scale. Since consensus is parallelized, and not done in sequential intervals of batches as in Blockchain, the network is able to grow and scale dynamically with the number of transactions. The more transactions are made, the more secure and the more efficient the Tangle gets.

One can convert iota to btc (http://seo abuse/iota/iota-to-bitcoin) at the best rate at Coinswitch by comparing the prices across exchanges. 1 IOTA will give 0.00005900 BTC.

As a matter of facts, IOTA has an excellent technology call "the tangle". In this unique mordel, the tangle is a technology that eliminated the sequentially linked blocks that make up the blockchain and instead uses a verification method called the Directed Acyclic graph (DAG). I think IOTA is very safe.

I think IOTA is secured, with a the reasons I have. Blockchain transaction blocks are been piled up as more and more transactions are made, but that of IOTA is faster with no transaction fee, which means if there could be a break in the block, then a hack is possible in the blockchain technology, and this has been dealt with by the IOTA Tangle. The scalability of IOTA is also a fascinating one, the more transactions made the more secure it becomes. I think its technology will handle the security loops in the crypto system.

I believe the safety and security of iota lies in its uniqueness. It is the only crypto around which does not utilise blockchain technology. Instead, it uses another type of network, called a Tangle. According to IOTA’s website, the benefits of using Tangle include: a lack of fees, speedy transactions, secure data transfer and transactions can be conducted on infinite scales. Other aspects include pay-on-demand and micropayment abilities. IOTA was created to be “the backbone of the internet of things”, and fully supports secure machine-to-machine (m2m) communication. This makes miota unique and different from other coins even though there are some flaws.

Hi, this is a nice topic about guns because this will help ensure the safety of the kids or the youth who have been innocent in handling this matter. Whether, we like it or not, parents are really responsible for the safety they should initiate for their children especially if risk is at stake. I think, it should be a part of the conversation within the family that guns are dangerous and it should teach kids about being safe and secure. I think, they should be aware of the consequences and risks it may brought to ones life if it is misuse. However, For me, I think everyone must be educated about Guns.

First glance it seems pretty wank, but looking into it a little deeper, it makes sense. A stable coin solution with economic benefits and a considerable transaction performance bump. I'm interested enough to try and find out more, it seems like it has advantages over Hashgraph, Holochain or Blockchain, but could be vaporware like IOTA. Nice one.

Every coins in the market more or less attracted by the hackers. Those who have good #DevelopmentTeam  with enough security they are secure but if found any less security then they are attracted by the hackers. Here IOTA use the tangle which is a technology that eliminated the sequentially linked blocks that make up the blockchain and instead uses a verification method called the Directed Acyclic graph (DAG). After all it can be said that IOTA is a good competitor in the coin market.

All the hackers will try hard to hack popular and developed project or any thing what they want but the companies authorities safe enough their project  from scammer that is why the general traders think that their project will protected and safe. If any authorities can give the surety then people believe the project and the company is reputade and also safe for investment.  IOTA is one kind of safe and secure crypto currency.

Yes as far i know that IOTA is more secure then others. IOTA token is a unit of value in the IOTA network. IOTA tokens are stored in IOTA wallets protected by an 81-character seed, similar to a password. To access and spend the tokens, IOTA provides a cryptocurrency wallet. A hardware wallet can be used to keep credentials offline while facilitating transactions.

IOTA is number 27 now. I see this coin is still green and I believe IOTA will have great future and more valuable. So, investing in IOTA is safe , secure and profitable.

IOTA has been criticized due to its unusual design, of which it is unclear whether it will work in practice. The network currently achieves consensus through a coordinator node, operated by the IOTA foundation. As the coordinator is a single point of failure, the network is currently centralized. IOTA has been the subject of multiple phishing, scamming, and hacking attempts, which resulted in the thefts of user tokens and extended periods of downtime.

IOTA is reliable and secure, and although there are sometimes minor issues, the team fixes them quickly. Yesterday there was a network shutdown, as the IOTA coordinator stopped creating checkpoints on the Tangle blockchain, but the problem was quickly eliminated and this did not affect the MIOTA altcoin rate, which added 2.5% yesterday. All networks periodically have technical problems, the main thing is that the team is able to quickly fix them.

The IOTA team solved the problem after a break of about 17 hours. It seems that the IOTA network had a daTrinity attack in February. The milestones in the IOTA main network could not be confirmed.I think IOTA 2.0 will be released soon to solve these troubles....

The IOTA team is committed to making blockchain the industry standard for the Internet of Things prior to the launch of IOTA 2.0, a fully decentralized network that operates without a coordinator. We are waiting for the Object Management Group to make this breakthrough.
