Polkadot Forum / A Hardware Wallet where i can store my Polkadot
« on: January 31, 2022, 09:28:40 AM »
Hello Polkdsters,

Looking at the hacking issues presently engulfing the Blockchain community.

I'm just curious if there is a reliable cold storage wallet out there where I can store my DOT safely.

PS: I will be updating this thread on what I found about the suggestions made here.

Thanks

youves is a decentralized, self-governing, and non-custodial platform for the creation and management of synthetic assets that are secured by eligible collateral. The platform and its smart contracts are built on the Tezos blockchain.
For example, users can become minters by posting and locking eligible collateral in a vault and creating synthetic assets. The first type of synthetic asset is youves tracker tokens. The available assets are visible here.

The youves tracker tokens can be sold or transferred to other parties. Minters will have the possibility to leverage their cryptocurrency exposure as they can sell their youves tracker tokens against such cryptocurrency which increases their exposure to the applicable cryptocurrency price. Holders of the youves tracker tokens can diversify their volatile cryptocurrency asset exposure without having to access the fiat currency world.

Sorting Box / Is it right to invest Synthetic Assets?
« on: December 21, 2021, 09:59:42 AM »
I was discussing with a more experienced friend of mine yesterday and he introduced me to a Platform called youves (you can research it) where synthetic assets are minted, staked, and saved. I'm thinking of investing in it, however, I want to gather the opinion of people who have invested in synthetic assets in the past.

PS: A synthetic asset is simply a tokenized derivative that mimics the value of another asset.

Here are just a few advantages synthetic assets have over traditional derivatives:

Anyone can issue them: Blockchain-based synthetic assets can be minted by anyone using open-source protocols like Synthetix and Mirror.
Worldwide liquidity: Synthetics can be traded on any crypto exchange in the world, including unstoppable decentralized exchanges.
Borderless transfers: Synthetic assets are blockchain assets like ERC-20 tokens; you can send and receive them between standard cryptocurrency wallets.
Frictionless movement: Switch between equities, synthetic silver/gold, and other assets without having to hold the underlying asset.
