Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right for a lady to gamble ?
« on: Today at 05:31:52 AM »
There should be equality in gambling - both women and men should have equal access to losing their savings. Moreover, everyone has a chance for luck, regardless of gender. Therefore, no one should be forbidden to do anything
Very true, I think it's very wrong to bring in gender inequality in gambling, because gambling requires using the mind to develop effective strategies that works for you and as far as I'm concerned women can also do that too.
Besides, women are believed to utilize their brains more than men, so when it comes to being in control of one's emotions during gambling and keeping a levelled head which are both important aspects of being a responsible gambler, women can also stamd out and do a more bettee job than men.

The problem has never really been the casinos but people's and individual approach towards gambling.
Because the same gambling that's causing a lot of people crazy ass losses and frustration is also the same activity other people indulge themselves to have fun and relieve some mental stress.
So rather than expecting the government to issue a permaban on casinos, people should be more concerned with developing themselves and taking charge of their lives because that way gambling will have less negative effects on people who indulge in it.
Anyone that is so self-centered or that was addicted to gambling and gambling took a lot of money from will be talking in a way that gambling should be banned. Also some people that their parents and mosque have been teaching the lesson that gambling is not good can be saying something like that. But who wants gambling to be banned are like someone saying knife 🔪 should be banned because it can be used to kill. But everyone home has knife.
And it all comes down to individual perspectives and reactions towards gambling.
That's a very good illustration and a perfect example to explain the situation about wanting to place a permanent ban on gambling. There are people who are actually gambling responsibly and haven't actually felt the negative impacts and the bad sides of gambling because their emotions are in check and they're only gambling for the fun. So gambling can't be completely banned because some people can't control themselves.

Instead there should be regulations set In place to normalize the rate of gambling and make sure the negative effects of gambling is reduced to an extent.

Gambling generally comes with winnings and losses, everyone wins and everyone loses, but it completely depends on one's individual approaches to know if they'll stay in profit after winning or if they'll gamble away the little win theyve been able to secure.
Some gamblers are just to greedy that even if they win, their wins are never enough for them, either because they keep record of their losses and decided to recover it all that day and of course we all know how that usually ends.

By taking taxes from crypto transactions, it shows that the government has accepted the presence of crypto, although not completely. Because we can't use crypto as a payment method yet, but it is possible that the government will allow it in the future.
I know taxing crypto transactions may actually portray some level of acceptance or recognition, but that actually doesn't mean they they've fully accepted crypto, let alone allowing it to be adopted as a method of payment, i believe the only reason they're showing somewhat level of interest and acceptance is simply because they're also benefiting from every transaction.

The government are only motivated to tax crypto transactions simply because they're also sharing the profits offered by cryptocurrency, rather than fully adopting and accepting it as legal tender.
As a matter of fact, the government taxing cryptocurrency transactions could actually be a their own method or technique to gain control over the market and try to regulate what happens there in every possible way they can.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Anonymity - good or bad?

If you want to keep secret about something and if you keep it secret then it is definitely good for you. I think that in all cases one should keep to one's privacy because when one can keep one's privacy then people will not talk about me so much or people will not care about me so much. When the other person will know about my affairs and if we ever have a bad relationship with him, he will try to harm me in that regard. So whatever work we do if we can do it alone then we should protect the confidentiality of that work.
You're absolutely right.
The less exposure you get and the less people know about you or your business, the better for you, especially when it comes to crypto currency, the crypto space is filled with lots of risks and challenges, risks from scammers and hacker, and challenges from the government.
We're all fully aware that the government has always been against the idea of crypto so since they're not able to entirely eradicate crypto, they sort for means to extort crypto holders, so in times like this, the best thing is to stay anonymous and hidden from these dangers and challenges.

I will always be a fan of Anonymity, of privacy and governments do not like that we have that right, because they want to have control of absolutely everything, where they cannot have control with our cryptocurrencies and the only way is to put them. in your hands. our data through the platforms, I think that is a danger because they can play tricks on us, I think that we have to manage everything from the most distant point of view of things that are very difficult and that put us in danger, so To Avoid these things, and the fact that data enters the web with records of how much money is on the platforms, it is good not to participate in this KYC.
All you've said is correct.
Cryptocurrency has indeed removed the power to make all the financial decisions from the government and has transferred that power to the individuals, now individuals can decide on what happens to their money, without being questioned or interference from other central authorities.
This has indeed been the problem of the government with crypto investors, they often say damn these people are just making so much money in our country and we don't even get to decide on how they spend it or get any share from that money, and this is exactly the reasom why the government are juat so interested in fishing out crypto investors all look for ways to extort and also swindle from them.

Those are quite fine points to consider and I believe a lot people haven't really been seeing the whole Bitcoin and altcoins relationship that way.
Although the belief have been that altcoins needs Bitcoin more (that's if bitcoin even needs altcoins) because Bitcoin's popularity and status has actually paved way for altcoins surface and thrive in the crypto space. So it's mostly believe that whatever popularity and altcoin attains in the crypto space, it's definitely because of Bitcoin.

And then the only benefit of altcoins to   Bitcoin or crypto space at large that were very common amongst crypto enthusiasts is that Altcoins is believed to have offered diversity as well as innovation, now people have variety of options to also consider and divert their investment to, which actually helps to keep the crypto space vibrant and considerable for investors and other users.

         -  That's also the reason I'm thinking about why it was said that this is the last bull run. Well, I read something that says Bitcoin's last halving will be until 2040. But anyway, maybe the best thing for us to do is to continue studying here in crypto or bitcoin and try to save money that we think will also give us future profit.

This is the only thing we can do in these times, especially since we are in a bull run now that many expect or wish to get profit from Bitcoin's rally.
There is still time for us to learn and invest in crypto, if the last halving will occur in 2040. I personally don't think about the last halving but am more focused on the halving this time and are bullish next year, according to many people's predictions,
Well yeah I think that is the best thing to do here to prepare for something big in the comming years especially during the four year cycle. But still we can make profits with the down trend but it will require a skill to not be able to lose during the bear market or if we don't like stress we can do DCA.
Most definitely, DCAing through this current market situation is undoubtedly quite a formidable and effective approach towards Bitcoin accumulation because it'll help one to keep his emotions in check and overlook the current market fluctuations while it also gives you an opportunity to buy more when the price is low and less when the price is higher, I think that's just the best approach to employ when accumulating Bitcoin, rather waiting for the right time to buy.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you still believe in old coins?
« on: May 09, 2024, 05:58:23 AM »
...but holding on to old coins doesn't actually guarantee profits in the long run, there are old coins that are currently at the verge of a crash and obtaining them or holding on to them right now could still be considered being zombie hunted :D :D.
Yes it is not all the old coins profitable but it is still good to invest in old coins because they have been in the space for years so there is this mindset that they can do well one day and it will not collapse but the new projects are not like that you will have faith in the them because many came and don't stay long.
That's correct.
Like I said since they've been around for a long time, they have an added advantage of longevity and they are believed to be a lot more solid and safe to buy and HODL, unlike the relatively new ones.
Today it can be really difficult to choose or find a good project to invest in because most of the project that comes into the system are either scam or doesn't have the strength to withstand the trial by fire of the crypto market, some of them end up crashing before you know it, not because the developers intended for it to crash.
And these factors contribute to the the reason why people now feel a lot more comfortable investing in old tokens.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Why bitcoin
« on: May 09, 2024, 12:46:21 AM »
However, nowadays, most people are interested in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies because they have volatiles values and they go up and down which creates opportunities for them to gain profit when they buy them low and sell them high, but the properties and benefits of Bitcoin are unmatchable despite all other things.
That would've been a lot more easier than it sounds if it was possible to predict the direction the market would go. The market can be in red right now and immediately you predict for the market to continue in red, you'll automatically start seeing a green, so it's really not possible to predict the market accurately. Even if you've made some lucky guesses and maybe manage to get it right, there's every possibility of the market to switch to another trend at anytime.

In fact, it's not as important as you think, because basically the price changes are not caused by your activity, but by market activity... Long term holders should not check prices too often because it could affect their emotions in holding... target Long-term investments are time-based, so you may only need to monitor prices if you have free time...

Important or not, it just feels right to stay updated about the market and how it is doing, you need to be aware of the prices of certain cryptocurrencies that you might have on your watchlist for a potential investment you have been thinking about, and even if there is nothing of that sort, it still isn't easy to stay away from the market, especially if you have some money invested whether it is for short term or long term.

I don't know how many times a day I watch the market, there might be no purpose but after every now and then I reach out to my pocket, take out my mobile, and check the market only to stay updated about the prices because I like doing that, no obligations but still.
Staying on top of every information concerning the crypto market is indeed very important, especially for those who have an active investment, or those who are still aspiring to join an investment and are curious to know about the market.
One way to always make an informed choice and always update and adjust your strategy is by always keeping an eye on the price movements.

Although, even if one isn't actively investing it's actually normal to feel inquisitive about the market, especially when you've got interest in crypto investment.
The crypto market is volatile and highly unpredictable so staying updated about the market could really help us to make more informed choices.

Since Xavi is staying, that means that he will want to end the season as well as he could hope for. Finishing third isn't in the plans, deciding to stay and then finishing third and dropping one place after the announcement of staying doesn't seem that great for him. I am sure that it will not be easy at all, but Barcelona needs to get all the wins and hope that Girona drops points somewhere because they really need to get back to second place. Second place at La Liga isn't that horrible, it could happen, its understandable, you can't win always and last year they won, so it is not really a big deal. But third place would be quite terrible, like if it was Athletico Madrid then I would maybe understand, but not to Girona.
That's quite an agreeable assessment, Xavi's decision to stay back in Barcelona as theie manager might as well give Barcelona an added advantage and an extra motivation for them to finish the season strongly.
Coming out third place would turn out to be a total disappointment for them, especially when one considers the teams historical standards.

The players and other staffs would certainly have the eagerness to prove that they're actually capable of finishing second place since they couldn't make it to the first this season and Xavi's experience and skill can actually make that a possibility.

The reason I say this is because when I am not mentally prepared, if I engage in gambling, I loss the bet.

No doubt, mental support is important in gambling as it aids concentration but the truth remains that you can't win all the time even with full concentration (mental support). The reason for this is simple, there are factors which decides the outcome of a game that can never be foreseen even with mental support.

An irony of the game is that someone can lose with mental support whereas another individual who predicted haphazardly might win.
Experience, skill as well as luck all are are important in gambling. Sometimes experience or skill is useful and sometimes luck is needed but if a gambler does not give mental support i.e. he is gambling but his mind is elsewhere or he is gambling but he does not have much interest there. I have mainly emphasized here the situations where one has to provide mental support in addition to all those things. Otherwise he cannot be satisfied there even if he gets a gambling win. Moreover, he will not find the joy in gambling.
Hold on, is the OP talking about external or internal mental support, i.e is it the sort of mental support someone else gives to a gambler or is it the one the gambler gives to himself, because I'm kinda confused here, the question isn't really quite clear because some people are answering based on internal mental support and some are answering based on external mental support. It'll be nice to get the question right before one can effectively attempt to answer.

Yeah exactly. Poor people do gambling more than rich people though there are gambling addicts that were from rich family as well but there were only few of them because majority comes from poor people and one more thing money is not a problem for most rich gamblers since they do have stable source. Based on my observation here in my place that is what the reality is. Regardless of financial status both can gamble even after a huge win.
While it's true that money is not a problem for rich gamblers, you should also remember that there is no limit to how much a man can lose in gambling if he doesn't control his emotions, and considering the fact that rich people has lots of money, then that means they have even more to lose than the poor because they have a steady flow of income, that's why it's possible for gambling to cripple even a rich man financially.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for All?
« on: May 08, 2024, 08:32:06 AM »
If you are experienced or not doesn't matter. In gambling you have to depend on luck. If you are lucky then you can win a big jackpot. If you are experienced all you can do is to be a bit more cautious. So I believe everyone can do gambling but it would be better if they take it as a fun. It is true that you can win occasional jackpot but it is not to be taken as a source of income.
Inasmuch as luck and chance plays a very vital role in gambling, it doesn't mean that's all you need to be a gambler, yeah it's true that at some point in the beginning of every gambler's gambling life, they depended mostly on luck but gradually gained knowledge and experience as they advance. But it wouldn't be completely true to say that luck is all a gambler needs to succeed in gambling.

Besides there are games that need less luck and more knowledge and experience, such as card games like poker or blackjack, your success depends on how knowledgeable you are in that game and what level of skill and experience you've managed to gather in the long run.
